Getting a diploma from Harvard is one of the biggest accomplishments a person can achieve, but for some, it can come as a bigger task than for others.

Aside from studying and taking grueling tests, if you’re a minority, the outer pressures of society make the already challenging coursework even more difficult. Knowing this, Black members of the class of 2017 decided to form an individual ceremony. It’s the first of its kind at the school in recent memory and took nearly a year to plan.
The separate graduation is an effort to highlight the aforementioned struggles and resilience it takes to get through those.
“This is an opportunity to celebrate Harvard’s Black excellence and Black brilliance,” Michael Huggins, a soon-to-become Masters graduate from Harvard’s Kennedy School, told The Root. “It’s an event where we can see each other and our parents and family can see us as a collective, whole group. A community.”
“This is not about segregation,” He added. “It’s about fellowship and building a community. This is a chance to reaffirm for each other that we enter the work world with a network of supporters standing with us. We are all partners.”
Recently, across America, there have been incidents of racism – both in comments and violence – at college campuses. Hopefully, the ceremony reminds people that minorities have to encounter certain challenges that others don’t.
Harvard is reported as having a 96 percent graduation rate for black students who remain in school for an average of six years. Stanford, Temple and Columbia all have Black student graduations, which have been criticized for appearing divisive.
And I thought snowflakes were all lily white.

The higher you move in American society, whether in business, politics, academia, science, the arts, etc. the whiter it gets – the more you’re surrounded by white people. just returned from the graduation of my daughter from the Masters Program at CSU, Colorado…she still has to find $7,000 to pay for the last remaining interneship to work for nothing at a local hospital. Denied by four other colleges in California due to her whiteness, she was accepted out of state at a more nationally prestigious college…good stuff. Why are we still paying reparations to black students to attend college for free only to have them put it back in our face? Obama’s wealthy daughter, who was accepted at Harvard and then rejected for inappropriate behavior, who is in her own right very wealthy was to receive a Clinton Foundation scholarship and ( get this) a government financial grant (free money). Will whites or blacks ever get past this white guilt crap…one thing for sure, we will never hear Sinatra’s song ” I Did It My Way” at a graduation of blacks, but rather, “I Did It On Whitey’s Dime”….HEEHAA

I think its great. If u give degrees to anyone who can fog a mirror, then they will demand to replace all the white lefty journalists and teachers and other govt beauracrats. They will be equally useless but make the ones there live in fear of a sexual harrassment or racism accusation for asking them to do any work or stop embezzling.

Whites are only 10% of the world’s population, yet are the most industrious and innovative race the world has known. Only one Black in six is more intelligent than the average White; five Whites out of six are more intelligent than the average Black.
Incidently, Black female IQ is 2.4 points higher than Black male IQ. There are twice as many Black females as Black males with IQs over 120, and five times as many Black females as Black males with IQs over 140.
About 2.3% of Whites have an IQ of at least 130 (gifted), 20 times greater than the percentage of Blacks who do; only 0.00044% of African Blacks have an IQ over 130. 80% of gifted American Blacks have White admixture.
Geniuses by Race (IQ 140 or higher):
• African Blacks 1:3,500,000 (0.000003%)
• American Blacks 1:218,000 (0.0004%)
• Whites 1:83 (1.2%)
So, the per capita genius rate for Whites is 41,000 times higher than it is for African Blacks.
If all Whites in America were replaced by Blacks, the number of geniuses in the country would fall from about 2.4 million to only about 1,000.

This gap is so significant that colleges award Blacks 230 SAT “race bonus” points to help them qualify for admission. The Black-only National Achievement Scholarship was created because Blacks are not competitive for the National Merit Scholarship.

Therefore, a Black with a graduate degree has an IQ equivalent to a White with a junior college degree.
Blacks can only achieve because they are mixed with White genes or because they reside in White societies. Too few of them are smart enough to even build sufficient infrastructure to allow the Black intellectual elite to achieve.
The American Psychological Association declares, “…large differences do exist between the average IQ scores of Blacks and Whites, and that these differences cannot be attributed to biases in test construction.”
I don’t know what it is now, but a couple decades ago, US Episcopalians averaged something like 120 on IQ tests.

For those attending fancy expensive colleges, we are somewhere in the transition from: that fancy liberal arts degree being a mark of distinction and achievement, to: that fancy degree being the mark of a sucker, and “…. gee, I hope you didn’t borrow money for that…”
Voluntary uncoerced segregation is an excellent idea, as it would restore TRUE “freedom of association”, which was lost when the so-called “civil-rights (for some)” acts were enacted into law.
