THE COLLAPSE OF FRANCE

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

The brainwashed and insouciant French electorate has voted to abolish the French nation. In five years France will exist only as a geographical location, a province in “Europe,” itself a province in global capitalism.

The French had a last chance to save their nation, but they could not do it because the French have been convinced that to be French is to be fascist and racist. Therefore, the French electorate defeated Marine Le Pen, the leader of the only political party that stands for France.

After five years under Macron, nothing will be left of France. Macron, the choice of Washington and the international bankers, represents, in the words of Diana Johnstone, “the trans-Atlantic elite totally committed to ‘globalization,’ using whatever is left of the power of national governments to weaken them still further, turning over decision-making to ‘the markets’—that is, to international capital managed by the major banks and financial institutions, notably those located in the United States, such as Goldman-Sachs.” Read Johnstone’s assessment here: http://www.globalresearch.ca/all-power-to-the-banks-the-winners-take-all-regime-of-emmanuel-macron/5591208

Macron defines himself as a “diversityite,” declaring that “there is no such thing as French culture.” Macron’s Minister of Armies and Defense declares that she “does not feel French.”
Macron follows the Russophobic line of the American neoconservatives, and rode to his inauguration in a military vehicle.

It is unclear why Putin went to France to meet today with Macron, who is totally in Washington’s pocket. Perhaps the Russian government believes that the terror attacks in France are real and hopes to finally convince one Western government to join Russia in “the war against terrorists.” Or perhaps Putin wanted to see if Macron has any awareness of the conflict with Russia toward which Washington is pushing Europe.

Perhaps Macron’s invitation to Putin was Washington’s suggestion, the purpose of which is to keep Putin ever hopeful of Western cooperation while Washington finalizes its attack plan.

Only two countries stand in the way of Washington’s world hegemony: Russia and China. Of the two obstacles, Russia is perceived as the largest constraint on US unilateralism. Europe is dependent on Russian energy, and Russia’s nuclear weapons systems are highly advanced.

The fact that Russia’s national sovereignty depends so much on Putin’s leadership makes Russia the most vulnerable to Washington’s intrigue. Putin can be removed by assassination. But China’s leadership cannot, because it is collective. There is democracy within the ruling Chinese political party. Washington’s focus on China is to discredit the ruling party by using US financed organizations within China for this purpose.

Washington is driving the world into a major conflict. The Russian and Chinese governments must know by now that they are targeted. As their hopes for diplomacy continue to be rebuffed by Washington and Europe, they will reach the conclusion that their only choice is surrender or war.

If someone wants to cut their own balls off, it’s hard to feel sorry for them. Disgust, sure.

They are voting for this. Sorta like Venezuela.

Maybe, just maybe Macron will fuck things up so badly, the French will come to their senses.

At least now it’s the French, and not the Americans, who are “insouciant”.

Hey, General, I’m just insouciant enough that I fail to give a shit how often PCR uses the word. Maybe you could try it. Just be a little insouciant. You might feel better.

I visited France in 2015. Have stated before it wasn’t the same country I had visited 15 years previous. I don’t plan to visit again. Instead if I want “French” culture I might head to Quebec. Say what you will about them French Canadians, they do still have pride in their culture. Too bad the real French do not.

A great problem we Americans (and our European counterparts) face today is that our cultural climate has metamorphosed into a toxic environment where certain views, opinions, and beliefs must never be held, or at least, never voiced; failure to abide by this unspoken rule results in certain censure, ostracism, or worse marginalization.

One may lose Facebook “friends” (it has happened to me) but these are generally insignificant losses, for many times social media contacts cannot possibly meet the standard definition of “friend.” However, one may see some in one’s social circle subtly but incontestably start to withdraw, for they no longer see one as someone worthy of their time.

It is one thing to shirk away from a friend we have discovered to be a rapist, a drug peddler, a murderer, a pedophile, an adulterer, or a con artist. But these have been (almost) universally recognized as disgusting and reprehensible in our civilization for generations. It is another thing to be punished by one’s peers for believing the “wrong” thing or liking the “wrong” politician.

The recent Islamic mass murder in Manchester reminded me of this grave problem. We in the United States have been so thoroughly browbeaten by the PC spirit of today that we are now afraid to state the obvious lest we be labeled as “racists,” “bigots,” “sexists,” “xenophobes,” and “ignorant.” But in this feverish quest to own and to indefinitely retain a perception of acceptability, civilization, and propriety, we pay a price – a price far greater than the loss of our friends or in some cases, the losses of reputations of jobs.

When the price is defined in teenage limbs, adolescent torsos, severed heads, exposed 15- and 16-year-old femur bones, and untapped potential, countless dreams, beautiful hopes, and glorious futures all turned into human offal the strands and residue of which are caught in the bristles of janitorial tools not unlike used needles and putrid condoms, it takes a considerable effort to maintain oneself in a stubborn divorcement from reality; one must repeatedly insist that the perpetrators of such peculiar acts are the minority, and that similar prices (human bodies strewn in Paris and in London as trucks ran over them like the soles of children’s feet stomping on ants) are likewise temporary, the results of a unique few.

Other very grave prices such as many women – beautiful, fresh, gorgeous, incredible in their beauty – being groped, assaulted, punched, raped, and tortured (at times on camera) in Sweden and in Germany, too, require that one elect peer acceptance and the deep, restful sleep one may enjoy if one knows that others see one as free of bigotry and racism. Ditto for underage white girls being groomed by immigrant gangs who target vulnerable children? Who cares about youths being blown apart. Who cares about lovely, innocent women being savagely ravished (and possibly infected with incurable pathogens)? Who cares about the possible suicides, drug abuse, and extensive therapy young adult women may need to overcome being sexually abused? As long as one is not a racist or a bigot or the zeitgeist’s designated adjective of the day.

The Brits of Manchester are like the Brits of Rochdale who were reluctant to press for investigations of the Rochdale Pakistani grooming gangs because they feared they’d be seen as racist. The French who voted for a preposterous and treasonous lackey who proudly admitted that his country has no culture are mirror images of the Americans to whom silence is preferable to being targeted by shrill accusations of racism. The left knows it can silence its opponents with such mendacious tactics, and that it continues to do so despite considerable blowback from the right demonstrates the effectiveness of these tactics. Rather than to ally themselves with a blue-blooded French nationalist who wants France to be and to remain French, they bowed to the demands of PC almost as fast as their own troops before the German onslaught of 1940. At least those Germans constituted a real existential threat; it may be sad to surrender to uniformed fighters with machine guns, but even real men know when to stop fighting in the face of a superior and real foe.

The greatest irony in the insistence of today’s Americans and Europeans to avoid the “racist” label at all costs is that it has propelled a rise in the very movements whose platforms and agendas are in a true and real sense linked with race. Some are questionable, and others are very serious. Race and national identity have always been linked, and now groups like Identity Evropa and white nationalist/race realist groups are on the upsurge. Had people simply been willing to aggressively confront the types who blow up concerts or run trucks over pedestrians – them and their ideology – these backlashes from the right might not have had such impetus. Alas, leftist culture always generates unwanted consequences, not unlike other aspects of leftist thought (leftists demanding minimum wages driving businesses into bankruptcy and causing unemployment for the people groups leftists defend; leftists’ insistence on open borders for nonwhite “migrants” on the basis of humanitarianism leading to spikes in sex crimes – women, another people group leftists claim to fight for, being the victims).

Marine Le Pen’s defeat will only serve as a reminder to the right that the left cannot be reasoned with. It will only reinforce ethnostate-type countries like Korea and Japan that migrants must be left out. It will remind whites that kindness will often be spat upon by nonwhites migrants, and it will further inflame the fires of opposition to immigration and the support for further controls, borders, inspections, and deportations. I for one expect at the very least for an increase in the strength and in the resolve of American conservatives to protect and to preserve the United States. However diverse America has become, there is such a thing as “American culture,” and Americans will fight to keep it.

The collapse of France may yet generate unexpected blessings for those on the right.
