Mark this day in history-I’m defending Chris Christie.
I can’t stand the guy but if you click on the link that nkit posted,you’ll see the Governor’s summer house,so I assume that it is a summer retreat for whoever is the current governor.
Christie is apparently playing hardball politics w/the legislature and is making the people feel the heat because their representatives will not pass a budget.
Though it looks bad,why should Christie suffer because the mostly Democratic legislature will not do the right thing?
There are two issues here-legislators who will not pass a budget and a press that is decidedly left wing-would they being doing this to a hardcore leftist governor?
Take away your dislike of Christie and ask yourself,”Which side should I be on in this situation?”

New Jersey’s distressed government worker pension system is now the worst funded in the U.S., according to a report by Bloomberg.
The Garden State’s public pension fund has languished near the bottom, but has now dropped below Kentucky and Illinois for last place, according to the report.
Their analysis compared the states’ funding ratios, or their assets in relation to their pension debt.
As of July 1, 2015, New Jersey’s state and local pension funds have just 37.5 percent of the funding it needs to pay for future benefits. That is based on new reporting standards that require the state to project lower investment returns and had bleak consequences for the state’s estimates.
New Jersey’s state and local pension funds had slightly more than $217 billion in liabilities and $81.4 billion in assets, leaving it with $135.7 billion in unfunded liabilities, up from $113.1 billion as of July 1, 2014.

Gov. Crisco is punishing the people because he cannot get a budget passed, is part of the story. The other part is that the budget includes plans to confiscate a portion of horizon bc’s safety fund to fund treatment for opioid users.
Crisco is desperate to create a legacy for himself and has been spending millions on ads to promote himself as the champion of treatment for drug addicts. Now there is nothing wrong with treatment for people who need help. What is wrong is the tub of is shit trying to steal funds from a business to replace the funding he cut early on in his administration. Worse yet, it will lead to further rate increases for health insurance. The health insurance that the fascist leftist pieces of filth force us to buy.
