Without federally-guaranteed student loans, no bank in their right mind would EVER loan anyone a dime to study “gender studies” or similar as a major (or would charge such high interest rates as to make the loan un-affordable). People would find out well before they wasted their money that these majors were universally considered worthless. The next generation of students would find these majors non-existent. In the end, the subject would finally be reduced to little more than a small section of books in the library (if they were lucky).
