She’s likewise, in all probability, unaware that the dollar loses its purchasing power over time, so her money (whatever she has) will buy less as she and her children age.
The frightening aspect of this is that based on those very few words, she thinks her lifestyle does not need to change. But the odds of her remaining disease-free are not high, given that STD rates are generally quite high among her demographic. As bad as gonorrhea or chlamydia would be, for example, they’re treatable and fully curable. But if it’s HIV/AIDS, her life will be effectively over.
It’s easy to pass moral judgment, but this woman reminds me of what a former coworker once told me about these females… “children having children.” If an upper-middle-class white girl’s life would be severely affected by having a baby at 12, how much more so someone from her background? (The coworker was a woman herself, and left-leaning too.)
People like this woman push me ever a little bit towards accepting Charles Murray’s thesis in “The Bell Curve.” His mention of what he termed “The Custodial State” in the preface of that book was literally prophetic. That already existed in the mid-1990s, but it is even worse today. Communities like the one from where this individual is from are essentially worse than some Third World backwaters – even Third World countries have somewhat educated, productive, employed middle classes. She wouldn’t begin to qualify as “lower middle class.”
It’s truly sobering and frightening to see what kind of people exist. Humanity can be one seriously pathetic spectacle.

The math isn’t adding up. Age 27 w/10 kids aged 6-20 but she was pregnant at 12. Oldest kid can’t be any older than 15. She also says there’s a grandkid, so assuming it’s the oldest that popped that one out her daughters are following in her footsteps.
