Question of the Day, Indigenous Peoples Day

Happy Indigenous Peoples Day everyone! Just because you are born a certain heritage, does that give you a right to claim the accomplishments or misfortunes of those of your heritage that came before?

Have you been to a Reservation? Here in the Pacific Northwest you’d be hard pressed to convince anyone that they’re not still doing so……

I don’t get this ‘Indian’ thing. I would admire them if they lived a life in TeePees, lived off the land. Instead they drive pickup trucks, live in trailers, get drunk, beat their wives. I guess that’s why they’re called prairie niggers.

Dutchman – guess you never seen any trailer trash white folk? They are out there by the millions. Indigenous people the world over have the same issues. It takes a very long time for ” assimilation”. Especially if you give them free shit.

Interesting how many whites are sliding into shitting in the weeds, isn’t it? Take a look at Italy and Spain for exhibit A, and much of the Southern US. Those backwoods hillbillies are reverting to the jungle at a rate of knots (free shit has a way of doing that to all peoples).

How many of those liberal fucking schools who want to eliminate Columbus Day are not in session today because it’s a holiday?

Funny thing is Columbus never made it to North America. Ponce de Leon was the first to reach Florida in 1513 (Columbus died in 1506). Ponce had been a crewman on Columbus’ second voyage in 1493. Maybe we should be celebrating Ponce’s birthday? lol

‘Indigenous’ is possibly one of the most abused words in the human vocabulary with regard to human populations. It is my experience that liberals use this word regularly but only in a manner that fits their agenda. It irritates the shit out of me.

And usually in a manner that denotes their thinking of them as a lesser race, not an equal one.

Unless you are in the horn of Africa, and have 10 thousand years of heritage in that place, you are the descendant of an invader/migrant, not indigenous

Why can’t we all just all get along celebrating a holiday of Europe and America met and we are the result; have some tacos and burgers?

Let’s assume nothing changed since the 15th century, i.e. people of “non-color” never arrived in Africa, Asia, North or South America.

What would those continents look like today? What standard of living would the “indigenous” peoples of those continents have? Education levels? Life-expectancy? It would be interesting to see the arguments made by these people as to “how” their standards of living were to be improved without outside (re: white) influence.

I’m not taking either side of the argument because until I see a realistic explanation to the contrary, there isn’t one.

There are no indigenous people on this planet. Everyone moved or migrated from somewhere else. Just because you and your ancestors lived in the same area for 500 years still doesn’t make you indigenous.

A superior race of space aliens colonizing us would consider all humans indigenous to Earth, and certainly not their equals.

Wow, Zelmer Fudd is triggered.
What your getting at is the Indians were here illegally. Got it.
They were squatting on future white turf, plopping out anchor babies.

No wonder they were alarmed at the arrival of the white man, they thought it was la migra.

The only right people have re ancestry is to stand on their own damned merits. That being said, some heritages come with a burden.

This hasn’t happened in quite a while, but it used to with more frequency than I cared for …

Meet someone new, or even someone who knows me but not very well — “So, where you from?”. “Austria.”. Every so often someone trying to show off how fucken smart they were would reply … “Hey, you know Hitler was actually Austrian?” “Yeah, and I heard he fucked your mother.” Not really. But, seriously, WTF are you supposed to say after such bullshit? “Thanks. You know he loved dogs, dontchya?”

For the longest time I actually stopped saying I’m Austrian, and just went with “German”. It was a pain in the ass saying “Austrian” because the responses were so predictable, and tiring;

— “Great. I just loved The Sound Of Music blah blah blah”

— “Hey, you know Mozart was Austrian? Do you like classical music?” … “Yeah, he was actually born in the same city as me. Salzburg. He gave me a blowjob once while playing the 5th symphony.”

— “Really? Have you ever seen a kangaroo?”. Seriously, man, some fuckers didn’t know the difference between Austria and Australia!

— “Oh, God, what a beautiful country, all those mountains.” … “It got nothing to do with mountains. We ain’t got niggers!”

— Got this one a LOT. “Do you ski?” … “NO. You’re ugly. Do you fuck with a bag over your head?”.

It was a lot easier being German. “Hey, you know Hitler was German?” …. “No, he wasnt! He was a fucken AUSTRIAN!!”

Boo Fucking Hoo.
If you can’t or won’t defend what you have, eventually someone will come along and take it.
The West is going to learn that lesson of history the hard way.

You guys who defend what the white Europeans did to America are full of crap.
Before Europeans came here the men hunted, fished and fought all day while the women did all the work.
At night they would smoke a “peace”pipe before closing the tepee flap for a little r&r.
Tell me again how Europeans improved this?

This has long been exploited in the United States – as we all know, since the 1960s.

People of whatever color in America today who demand remedial/corrective/compensatory measures for sins, whether real or imagined, committed against their ethnic ancestors 100, 150, 200 years ago do not all bring the same arguments to the discussion table. But I would say the progeny of Native Americans have a stronger claim than African-Americans.

The latter have received much – affirmative action is the measure that comes to mind first.

But if after decades with billions of dollars invested in schools and other programs fail to bring equality or parity (with whom – poor whites? Middle-class whites whose kids attend good state schools? Upper-middle class Koreans whose kids go to MIT, Harvard, UPenn, and Yale?) , then how many more billions will suffice? And who determines that? And what should be the timeline we must accept before those desired results materialize?

It is always easier to blame an external force for ostensible inequality and to demand that others furnish provisions to fix these inequalities – it takes far more courage to look within and realize that perhaps the reasons for those inequalities are in the mirror. The political zeitgeist of our age however dictates that it is never a “domestic” problem; rather, that all the blame originates from outside malefactors and that these malefactors are riven with bigotry and malice; that they have special advantages (“privileges”) – and that same zeitgeist mandates anathema against anybody who openly challenges the view that one must always look outside and demand fixes from outsiders.

Furthermore, history happened, and while much of it was horrible, it cannot be erased through the defacement or removal of statues. Unfortunately, that same zeitgeist also results in pathetic historical illiteracy – an illiteracy its victims ironically view as some sort of “enlightenment” (“we are oppressed and we will fight the oppressors!”).

Sad and comical.
