Jedi Mind Trick: The Disturbing, Destabilizing Abnormal Is Now Normal

Authored by Charles Hugh Smith via OfTwoMinds blog,

Disturbing, destabilizing abnormalities are now accepted as normal life in America.

Forgive me for wondering if the populace of America hasn’t fallen for a Jedi mind trick:

Disturbing, destabilizing abnormalities are now accepted as normal life in America:

1. Sprawling tent camps of homeless sprout like flowers of poverty in U.S. cities, leaving mountains of trash that speak volumes about systemic failure, destitution and overwhelmed city services.

2. The Federal Reserve’s vaunted “Wealth Effect” that was supposed to be a tide that raised all boats at least a bit has concentrated wealth and power in the top 5%, 1%, and 1/10th of 1%, leaving the bottom 95% with diminished prospects and a thinning stake in The American Project.

3. The stock market’s year-long levitation while the real-world economy decays is a perverse counter-correlation that reflects the widening divide between those enriched by the asset bubbles and those left further behind.

4. In the midst of a supposedly resurgent U.S. “recovery” in its 9th year of wonderfulness, the opioid epidemic has killed tens of thousands and crippled hundreds of thousands of lives and families, yet the federal government, supposedly the most powerful force on the planet, is frozen in a decades-long law-enforcement/Drug Gulag obsession, blind to the Big Pharma Cartel that has created and fueled the epidemic as a means of reaping billions in profits.

5. The nation’s Corporate/Billionaire-owned Media obsess endlessly over the chimera of Russian collusion, as if that was the Big Story That Matters, while the nation’s rigged economy is coming apart at the seams.

6. While the Sports Media Empires fret over the decline of fan engagement in the NFL, nobody dares mention that Pro Sports is now unaffordable to the vast majority of households.

7. Healthcare costs continue spiraling higher, even as Americans are visibly less healthy.

8. The endless media circus of celebrity scandal, the Russian collusion propaganda parade and the over-saturation of sports obscure the Permanent War Policies of America’s Central State.

9. While The Deep State has entered the common lexicon, all the media chatter does little to illuminate the internecine battles within the Deep State that are playing out as shadows cast in the Russian Collusion Kabuki theater.

10. The reality that all these social, political and financial abnormalities are inherently destabilizing is never covered in the Corporate Media, but this orchestrated refusal to face the disturbing facts of systemic decay leaves the status quo increasingly fragile and prone to unexpected disruption.

If the “America” displayed in the Corporate Media seems like “the Real America,” then this is not the America you’re looking for.

Hey Morpheus, if we want everyone to wake up we are going to need a lot more red pills.

While it doesn’t “boggle” the mind, it roils the spirit to see the world gone mad. Real men dare to be women and women are heroes for throwing off the shackles of propriety. The rich settle for more and the poor console themselves with free shit. Grandmas wear tats and stretch jeans, pushing the envelope of good taste. Excess is the new measure of success. Bitcoin is the new faith, winning converts by the day. Predators by night, Americans recoil at the leering looks foreigners give the fallen lady Liberty.

‘The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom…You never know what is enough until you know what is more than enough.’ Wm Blake. Maybe Robert Blake, too.

Individually. Not collectively. It would emerge collectively, were there mostly individuals. Theoretically.

Whether coyote thinks that thought every morning, before going out to chase roadrunner, or not, he does live it.

Maybe it isn’t age or disease that kills us in the end. Maybe were just grossed out of existence.

De stables are for horses. The domesticated ones. Not the free ones…that helicowpterboys hunt.

Stables & domesticity are real. Stability isn’t. Pining for it won’t make the pine box it takes to have it arrive any quicker.

Or maybe it will. Voodoo death is supposedly a thing for some believers.

Ditto brick immurements voodoo economics has built…supposedly a thing. All it takes is a cask of free amontillado.

Mind tricks, hacked minds, hijacked hinds, jedi, veni, vidi, vici – whatever – rely on words, don’t they? Ones that interlock & clock the glockenspiel just rite, right? Might be better to hear it than to be it…or shot on the little wing:

1. Nothing under the sun is new. What will happen? What has happened before. (Ecclesiastes) We’ve just been taught that America is somehow exempt from history and reality. Only certain individuals living in certain small periods of American history have been immune to history and reality, but they can’t be held back forever.

There are only two types of people: rich and poor. The rich have enough money that their money makes enough money passively to support them with plenty left over; the poor is everyone else. The idea of a “middle class” is absurd. It’s just folks who haven’t lost their job yet and experienced the effects of what happens to the “working poor” when the job is lost.
2. See the last part of 1. It’s futile to think you’ll not be poor because of some supposed “wealth effect.”
3. For the most part. Many of us have 401Ks that can stave off poverty until we die, and for some a bit beyond. Increasing stock prices help us working poor stave off poverty until we die ….
4. It’s all about money. If the billionaires have to slaughter millions of people to get more billions, it shall be done. Legal and illegal drugs, no problem. Ruining lives with SSRIs (while ignoring the suicides and violence), no problem.
5. There’s more “growth” left in the economy, most likely, as it make its final lurch to the ultimate collapse point. The next Democrat in the White House will likely preside over this awesome event.
6. Oh no, I can’t afford to go to an NFL game and watch entitled millionaire thugs carry a ball up and down manicured fields owned by billionaires but paid for by taxpayers (me) while “commentators” remind me of how awful I am for being a white male. This is the biggest bummer of all.
7. If you’ve allowed yourself to be part of the system, can’t help you. They will feed you poison to sicken you, then manage your chronic illness until you die. At huge profits (for the billionaires).
8. This makes money too (for you know who). Whoever gets killed doesn’t matter (because the poor are always with us, and the supply is always replenished).
9. More distractions, irrelevant otherwise.
10. If there was still an America to destabilize this might be an issue. The nation came apart long ago, we’re just waiting for the mop-up crews to move in and complete our subjugation.

There is a middle ground in-between rich and poor, extravagance and poverty: no debt, some land to work and build into self-sufficiency, a modest lifestyle and fierce independence.

It’s never been more obvious the MSM represents the “Breakaway Civilization” coined by researcher Rich Dolan and adopted by many others. The rest of us can go to hell; useless eaters according to them. Sorta like “The Hunger Games”. Fuck ’em.
BTW I think they’re pretty much admitting UFOs are real and they’ve been studying them for decades. What they’re not telling us is what’s on the other side of reality.

So true Charles Hugh-Smith! The deep state may be closer to home than people realize. They are destroying honest, hard working, productive people’s lives. Mine in particular. I also wonder if every neighborhood has CIA agents. A neighbor in NJ worked for the CIA. Maybe he was the one blowing up mail boxes with pipe bombs.

The sleazy scumbags are so embarrassed by their complete tax payer heist that they will not allow me to add a photo of the hideously tacky monstrosity that they built for themselves as a monument to their lack of taste, style, class, sophistication, design, aesthetics, and frugality. It is truly repugnant, just like they are.
