If you wish to see the origins of Animal Farm and 1984 then you must read Orwell’s book Homage to Catalonia. Orwell is fighting alongside the Anarchists at the time the Stalinists come to help the Republic. Instead of attacking the Fascists, the Stalinists purge the Anarchists which was too bad because up until that time, the only people that had had any success fighting the Fascists were the Anarchists. Orwell witnesses things that he probably thought were impossible but to his surprise he was to learn that some animals were more equal than others.
Read that book, very interesting, and at times funny (like when they lobbed fake bombs across their lines with messages on them).

Funny how those that kill prists, rape and kill nuns, and slaughter thousands upon thousands of those that go against anything your leadership demands are always portrayed by the media and history books as the “good guys”…
But you throw 120 commies out of helicopters because they were trying to “fundamentally transforming” the country you grew up in and love…
