Just need to ram those babies through the platforms a couple of times to widen ’em.

“Ram the Ol’ Avenger home!” I always say.

The geniuses at NASA did the same thing with the Hubble telescope. One of the lenses was designed with inch parameters and another was designed with the metric system. It took an additional space mission to install a “corrective lens”

Actually I think it was a Mars mission that failed due to an inch/metric fuckup.

Story I always heard about Hubble was that it was perfectly focused at approximately 100 miles, but not at the billions+ miles (infinity focus) needed for astronomy.

Why would a bus-sized telescope be correctly focused at approximately 100 miles? Oh, no reason, NRO reason at all…

What we sheople refer to as government incompetence, the government refers to as Standard Operating Procedure.

Do I ever feel dumb?

Not as dumb as the person who created this meme and doesn’t know the difference between “feel” and “felt”.

The earliest track gauge (width between rails) was established by the Romans for horse drawn carts.

The gauge was determined as the width of two horse’s hindquarters side-by-side.

Maybe the French trains were ordered by the wrong horse’s ass…

YOU and I suffer consequences for our mistakes. Government parasites simply pass their failures onto the victims of taxation (aka – the slaves). In Atlanta, we have a “train” that profited Siemens immensely. It runs for about 3 miles (yeah, that’s it), and has virtually NO ridership. They ran the trains for free for quite a while and had plenty of homeless riders looking to escape the brutal Atlanta summer heat, but when they raised the fares to $1, ridership plummeted. The cost was in the double-digit millions and now they want to “expand” the line so that they can have even fewer riders per mile I guess.

Atlanta, say no more; must be the Affirmative Action Capital of the South. I hate Atlanta; I hate driving thru Atlanta and I hate trying to drive around Atlanta. Georgia should have to pay all interstate motorist a fine because of the Atlanta roadblock.

Same sort of incompetence here in Australia. I don’t know if I am allowed to post links here , yet search NSW trains too wide and see the results. Incompetence knows no nationality, race or religion.

Go ahead and post the links. If Admin has a problem with it, two men in a black sedan with no plates will arrive at your house to break your computer or smart phone. They may even raid your fridge for any Foster’s you may have stashed. Do not kid yourself, Admin has an inside connection in OZ.

Yeah, Admin has a wet-work agent in Oz. Only one guy. If you cross his path, he’ll beat you senseless while telling you how much better Oz is compared to the USA.

Isn’t the term Government incompetence a redundancy? Just saying….
