Who is it that keeps buying those bonds in order to keep that 10 yr. under 3% so the the equity mkt stays up? Well, that would the “fed”. They will lose control soon and we will see gold/silver aproach true value. I can’t wait.

When you are creating money out of thin air, lending money at essentially 0%, etc. that money is going to go somewhere. In the late 90s it went into the dotcom bubble. When that burst, Bush demanded of Greenspan and Bernanke that a new bubble be created and that was the housing bubble. Bush helped this along with his “ownership society” bullshit. When that bubble burst, the money machine went into overdrive and all that money went again into the stock market. Is the Fed specifically manipulating the market as in one stock versus another? To the extent that certain corporations, banks, defense contractors, and others directly benefit from the massive flow of newly created dollars that flow through the crony-capitalist hands of government…..yes, for sure. But overall, the meteoric rise of the market is 100% attributable to QE, low interest rates, bond purchases, lending to foreign governments, direct bailouts of corporations and banks, and the like.
