The whole purpose of the war on drugs is to create a lucrative black market that government can exploit for huge profits that can remain “off books.” In that way our death squads, and other CIA extensions, can operate without ANY oversight but with all the funding they need. The government is not simply running the war on drugs to protect bigPharma, but to keep the black market profits rolling in.
Supposedly about the only things that will grow there are opium and cotton. The government won’t spend money encouraging them to grow cotton and compete with US cotton growers, so they encourage them to grow fucking opium. I’ve read this in several places. No idea if its true or not, and don’t have a way to verify it, but there you go. Completely fucked up.
But yes, the Taliban had almost eradicated the opium trade, something like 95 % of it. You know something else they had been getting rid of? The whole child rape thing, where powerful men would keep young boys in their tents and rape them. So, now that the US has been there 17 years, opium production is at an all time high, as is child rape. All of it paid for by our tax dollars.

I don’t know about now but in the 70s, the CIA was flying unmarked C-130s with no lights into Homestead at night that were loaded with drugs. The tower did not log anything. GW and Jeb Bush as young men flew from Texas to Homestead one night to buy some and were apprehended but their dad (POTUS) had them released (read Compromised by Reed and Cummings).

Obviously nothing to see or connect here . As for the fentynol additives to illegally produced and imported into the US that little booster chem comes from CHINA in most cases .
