I’m happy he can afford it.
I don’t care how much money someone has, or how they spend it, I care how they got it.
Entrepreneurship, hard work, or inheritance are OK by me.
Theft, the government trough, crony capitalism, profiteering, and corruption? OH FUCK NO!
Yup. One can hope a piece of deep fried squid gets lodged so deep, that the Heimlich manuever is ineffective on the calamari fritti inhaled the next time.
Some thieving corrupt pricks deserve to choke, be it by gluttony, or by the hands of one of the nameless, bankrupted victims of his actions.
$5000 for a Petrus! What a rip. Better have been a ’75 or ’82. I would rather pay $12 for a bottle of water. Unless it was a ’75 or ’82- those are hard to come by and would consider paying $1600 for a bottle, but sheesh, $4000+ markup?
I obviously meant to say $3000 + markup. I can do math. Just cannot type real good.

LOL, 12 bucks for a large water… and the east coast dipshits are always soooo superior to the western United States folks. I’ve guided east coast yahoo’s out west on the Salmon River and they are hopeless, helpless and comical in their ignorance.
danny boy, I read of a case where some American tourists gave a girl a $1 tip in the Weimar Republic. Her family soon gathered in the kitchen trying to figure out where she should invest her trillion PM riches.
I would suggest, if you want to live like a Trillionaire for a day, head out to Venezuela.
What the fuck is a la tache romanee co for $15000. That better have come with a blow job.

He landed in Indianapolis some years back while climbing his way to the top. His most lasting contribution here then was to fire hundreds of people, including my son. These banking bastards are ruthless and no more ethical or moral than lawyers. $12 water? You betchum little beaver, he stole the money fair and square.

I was at a Florence restaurant where an oligarcg and his fanboys order 12 bottles of $25k a pop burgundy. Now they knew how to spend money.
I would feel guilty that I didn’t slip poison into his meal.

Doesn’t JP Morgan chase make several billion as the “distributors” of EBT and SNAP cards for the US govt? What’s a $50,000 lunch when the taxpayers are helping to foot the bill. ( I forgot to mention the massive bonus Dimon took in 2008 after our taxes bailed out the TBTF banks and the QE’s)…..
On the other side, I agree with not having envy for people spending money that they earned honestly with their sweat, blood, intellect or talent– wealth is relative.
I know someone who collects coins. He might spend $500 on an old silver half dollar for his collection–people who collect coins and fill albums with state quarters may hate him for his extravagance. However there are collectors who pay hundreds of thousands for their purchases for rare issues– and there are others who are in another class who spend $5-10k for each coin in their sets. It is relative and if a high roller spends $300,000 for a Gold Eagle from the 1800’s it doesn’t affect the guy one bit from enjoying his $500 Buffalo nickel.
I’d rather have a steak and crab cake for $50 anyhow…………
Javelin Nailed the narrative above, just adding perspective minus a blase attitude that you seem to exhibit by defending the lifestyles of the Rich and famous and Jamie Dimons “right” to spend 40,000 dollars at a restaurant while things are deteriorating all around us! Go watch an episode of Undercover Boss!
While I’m at it, FUCK Robin Leach too and Xhibit with his promotion of excess pimp my ride, Yo MTV cribs, and Extreme home makeover bullshit!
Fuck the consumer material driven zombie promotion and fuck you and your butt brother Jamie Dimon!

Are you referring to the Trump empire?
That’s money he got from the taxpayers and the Fed, while it was destroying pensions and crushing the middle class.
$12 for a water? That’s an outrage!

Florence??? Kentucky, South Carolina or Alabama???
Dilemma: If you had been his waitress, would you have felt guilty taking the tip even though you pissed in his food or wine?

Fuck Jamie Dimon and his dinner bill that is more than double what minimum wage workers make in 2 years of their lives.

You’ve got at least two of those covered, probably three.
Hahaha,
I think Dimon fits your father’s quote to a T.

Let him spend the $$$ as he wishes. Hey, it looks like Italian meat & three for four but with vino instead of tea 😉
I dated a 10021 chick years ago (205 E 77th, #8E). Different breed. A “soft” demo but all she cared about was lowering her taxes via a Wyoming LLC.
