Update: The White House has issue a statement:
“ We will continue to closely follow the international investigations into this tragic incident and advocate for justice that is timely, transparent, and in accordance with all due process. We are saddened to hear confirmation of Mr. Khashoggi’s death, and we offer our deepest condolences to his family, fiancée, and friends.”
And Democrat Congressman Schiff has piped in, claiming “the Saudi report of Khashoggi is not credible.”

Saudi Arabia confirmed tonight that Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi was killed at its consulate in Istanbul on 2 October.
In a statement put out on Saudi state television, citing an initial investigation by Saudi prosecutors, SPA said that:
“an argument erupted between him [Khashoggi] and others whom he met in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul leading to a fistfight which led to his death.”
IMPORTANT: I understand from a senior Saudi source that Jamal Khashoggi died from a chokehold during a physical altercation, not a fist fight which was mistranslated by foreign media.

Prosecutors said the investigation was still ongoing and that 18 people, all Saudi nationals, had so far been arrested, SPA reported.
“The Kingdom expresses its deep regret at the painful developments that have taken place and stresses the commitment of the authorities in the Kingdom to bring the facts to the public,” the statement said.
Additionally, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has removed a key royal adviser and a senior intelligence official..
King Salman issued an order to remove Saud al-Qahtani, an adviser to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to the state-run Ikhbariya television.
The monarch also relieved deputy intelligence chief Gen. Ahmed al-Assiri.
This follows the narrative reported by The New York Times on Thursday that Riyadh is looking to blame Assiri for the purported murder of Khashoggi in an effort to shield Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman from the blame.
Saudi King Salman has also ordered the formation of ministerial committee led by crown prince Mohammad bin Salman to restructure the general intelligence agency.
As Ali Shihabi, Founder, The Arabia Foundation, tweets:
“The removal of two top officials, a cabinet ranking, very powerful and close advisor of MBS and the Deputy Head of Foreign intelligence + 4 other Generals in foreign intelligence (virtually its whole top leadership) cannot be written off as a cover up. This is unprecedented.”
“This is not saying “rogue killers” but implicating virtually the whole top leadership of foreign intelligence. They carried out a mission that went sour very quickly and tried to cover it up initially. Bad news travels slowly to the top.”
We await President Trump’s “very severe consequences.”
Frankly, I could give a shit if they offed this guy. He was BFFs with Osama and was tied to the Muslim Brotherhood.
The media is calling him a journalist. That’s bullshit. He wrote some op-ed pieces. BFD. That would make anyone who wrote op-ed pieces a journalist.
I wish the left and these media assholes would have been as concerned about the 4 Americans killed in Benghazi as they are about this terrorist. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Amen, brother!
Amen. I think none of us on TBP gives a shit.
Not much has been written about this Khashoggi dude’s politics. His criticism of the Sauds was because they were becoming too secular!! He’s a hard-line mooslimfuk and gave full support to the Muslim Brotherhood, and was active behind-the-scenes to overthrow the Egyptian government. His persona in America as a “moderate” was pure concocted bullshit.
Don’t attempt to speak for the rest of us . If you want to condone dismemberment of a live person by a criminal cartel masquerading as a government then have the balls to stand alone and own your psychopathic attitude.
If you knew jack shit about what was going on you would know we are on the wrong side of this shit as usual. But you are another “Murica right or wrong” ignoramus.
Listen up JooDog ….. I said I don’t give a fuck that he was chopped up. That is NOT the same as “condoning”.
You’ve been a Truly Dumbfuk DonkeyDickSucker since you started posting here. Can’t you take an online course, or something?
On Khashoggi, the Saudis have a new story with a glaring hole

On Friday, Saudi Arabia acknowledged that Jamal Khashoggi was, in fact, dead. The cover story devised by the kingdom would be laughable if the matter weren’t so serious. According to Saudi media, Khashoggi died in a physical altercation at the consulate in Istanbul.
Not only is that ridiculous and contrary to all evidence, but it also has a glaring hole that the crown prince will be hard-put to fill.
Based on the Saudi telling, the Washington Post columnist and dissident journalist entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul and got into some sort of fight with the 15-person hit team flown in to meet him. Then, in the course of that fight, he died.
The Saudis should have done a better job thinking through their lie, as this version of events means that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is reportedly heading the investigation, will have to produce a body.
If, as Turkish media report based on audio recordings of the incident, Khashoggi’s body was dismembered and his fingers cut off, it’s going to be pretty hard to explain that away as an accidental death from a fight.
Failure to do so would only further the already readily-transparent lies that the kingdom has peddled so far.
Before today, the official line was that he had somehow left the consulate alive without his fiancee, who was waiting outside, knowing and then somehow disappeared. Never mind the mounting evidence that he was killed inside the consulate, followed by a hasty cover-up.
In short, it seems that at least one more person should have been added to that list of Saudi officials fired over the murder: whoever thought that this story would work.
That’s why they’re called sand-ni66ers.
Uhhm, maybe not?
To be an observant Moslem, the body is interred within 3 days after death, I believe.
Would they have kept him from going to Heaven just for a trivial post-mortem inquiry, autopsy and subsequent media furor / bad publicity? I think not.
So the Arabs are weeding out double agents. No problem, but they’re very clumsy and messy, and brutal to boot.
What I find disturbing is the fact US media outlets are involved. Once the oil and money agreement lapses what will happen?
“I was just standing there on a giant sheet of polyethylene – minding my own business – when the dude fucking bumped into me, so I accidentally whipped out my bone saw, cut him into chunks and we put the chunks in the plastic bags that we brought along.”
I don’t know. Seems plausible to me.
“Donald Trump says he finds Saudi explanation of Khashoggi death ‘credible’ ”
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/oct/20/donald-trump-says-he-finds-saudi-explanation-of-khashoggi-death-credible
Yo, Trump-eteers!! Trump is buying this bullshit story! Bwaahahahahaha!
Can you ‘splain that? Hmmmm?
Trump should have just told John Bolton to make the talk show circuit so he could tell everyone that it happened because of a video on the Internet. Just like the last honest politician we had for president.
Trump is lying.
Do ya think?
Yeah, that’s DTs way of saying he could care less, and wont blow-up our alliances w/the Saudis, like the insane media lap-dogs are barking for. And I agree.
Maybe, at this point, the people addicted to Saudi money and oil are just hoping for any excuse that might allow them to keep the pipeline open.
Oh, kill a journalist in a fistfight and cut him into little pieces to hide it? Hey! It happens to all of us from time to time.
How can you get into a fistfight if all your fingers have been cut off?
Maybe it was a B Slappin’ contest.
I really don’t mind journalists being treated that way. But if they’re gonna bitch about it, maybe we can send Jim Acosta to the consulate to see if he can dig up some dirt.
Other really terrific happy news ….
A New York City gala held by the Friends of the Israel Defence Forces (FIDF) earlie this week raised $32 million for members of Israel’s occupation forces.
This is all crap. It will be out of sight and out of mind in a month.
ONLY paid shills, paid politicians(traitors) believe this bs fairytale.
Just like an Arab – bring fists to a knife fight. That never ends well.
What’s the big deal? A dead muslim is a good muslim.

It is Rand Paul’s comments about how the situation should be handled versus how it will be handled. I’m reminded that there are indeed very good intentions that send people to the nation’s Capital to try to make a difference. It is the terrible things which keep them there which cause our derision.
But, Rand seemed so despondent during parts of his comments, as if he knows good and well it is all just for show. And not a very good show at that.
