If you are referring to the romaine/e.Coli issue, it wasn’t the salad that killed anyone, but more likely the EPA policy of allowing biosludge (the leftovers from wastewater treatment plants) to be used as fertilizer on farms, combined with the age-old practice of using the massive tonnage of animal waste produced by factory farms for the same purpose, or the massive runoff from factory farms onto vegetable farmland, that led to the presence of e. Coli on the lettuce. Neither lettuce nor any plant, can sustain a colony of e. coli or other animal-based bacteria within its structure (as virtually all animals can).

I thought the contamination was from illegals shitting in the irrigation ditches, hence the reason why you never hear of any follow-up in the media as to why so many got sick/died.

There is probably some contribution there, but the other sources are far more voluminous. And you still don’t hear any followup because the government doesn’t want to admit that they have blessed or are willfully ignoring these contamination sources (mostly because they are being paid to ignore them).

Do ADVERSE PHARMACEUTICAL DRUG REACTIONS still kill over 100,000 Americans a year or was that just 20 years ago?

Serious question.

I would suspect many more. Throw in the explosion of antibiotic resistant bacterial infections due to pharmaceutical drug overuse for both humans and feed animals and it ain’t even close. They put the CAFO’S next to the Ethanol plants and feed the refuse to the cows whose steaks you are eating at Outback. Gross!

I’ve read in medical journals that Ibuprofen kills 16,000 per year alone.

This angrified female should get a way to monetize her face. I keep seeing current photos of her on a friend’s FB page. She clearly likes her notoriety as she keeps the same hair cut and glasses to this day…

TR, I do not know the origin of the photo. The female is a local who works in publishing- a local slick image rag is where she has a by line and she is involved with PR work. She hob nobs with my friend who once was my employee/co worker and good friend – and was once a Bosnia deployed pistol packing Army Sgt and now works on the new mayor’s transition team working on K-12 education among many other things.

I fantasize about doing an interview with the angry icon , asking questions submitted by the usual suspects of TBP. I have reported before she appeared in a FB post with a purple swatch of top hair on her coiffure, a press badge and a rainbow pin/button on her shirt. A fair minded exchange of ideologies and political views might be nigh impossible. Her undignified and indignant mug shot is one for the ages.

Yeah, that’s her, Tampa. Melissa Click, I think is her name. If I remember correctly, she left or was forced to resign and found a job at a college in Washington state or Oregon.

Long ago I worked the lettuce harvest and heads were dumped in a sluice that floated them by women on benches that pruned them and placed them neatly in large boxes which were loaded in trucks and box cars, iced and shipped North. The water was clean but this is planet Earth.

When I lived in Turkey, vegetables were fertilized using the contents of family “honey pots” and their gardens always smelled like Iowa in the Springtime. I think Turks carry natural immunity to germs that would kill us. Their kids swim in water that would kill Americans because they receive immunity from their mothers and then develop their own resistance. Americans rinsed all vegetables we didn’t cook in Clorox water and never swam in their polluted waters. I believe this will become a problem for city slickers when TSHTF.

Q. Why is it always the romaine lettuce? A. Because it’s hard to wipe your ass with iceberg

Any type of leafy green is good for you except iceberg lettuce. It turns to slime in your gut and seems to just stay there forever.

Pretty much everything kills more people than AR15s in America, but immigrants and their diseases are far more deadly…crickets from the Media.
