QUOTES OF THE DAY

“Over 100,000 of the Union army soldiers in the civil war were under the age of 15. The average age of a soldier killed on D-day was 22 years old. Today, we deal with men that cry and boycott if conservatives are schedule to speak on their campuses. Pathetic.”

Candace Owens

“Am I the only one who has a few friends who work for govt. and are “hoping” for a “govt. shutdown”? They claim they get days off & are later paid for them as if they’d worked. True or not?”

Sharyl Attkisson

Ms Attkisson: Back in the 90’s on a shutdown I as a contractor worked and got paid in support in the Army staff. There were US civil service employees working who had positions requiring that they work. I do not know if they got paid or not. These were not the classless clowns that we have today….they were true professionals.

They end up being paid because the politicians don’t want to punish innocent government leaches, err employees.

Yep, all this government shutdown business is pure nonsense. When does one miss the Department of Commerce, or Education, or Agriculture not being open?? And if nobody misses them, why have them??

So its all show business baloney.

The government always back pays the workers who were told to stay home. Shut the government down for a couple of years and those out of work government employees might have to find a real job. Of course, polluting the civilian workforce with that much government fodder would lower the GDP.

It would be a great bit of entertainment watching the “uneducated” Deplorable showing Ivy League shitheads how to perform simple tasks involving high tech devices like wrenches and shovels. “And son, if you get your fork lift certification you can expect a .45 cent per hour raise.”
That would be some good shit.

Those professionally trained in the mechanical fields have often been looked down upon and not considered intelligent , educated and worthy of high salaries . That is until something breaks or fails ! Then we get called in to repair or replace while someone much smarter than we will ever be suck on one thumb and poke the other up their ass and when you hand them a bill for $500 bucks in parts and labor the switch thumbs and gag !
I did a large electrical job for a cardiologist who complained about the hourly rate . I broke it down for him , we charge a journeyman’s rate for my time so I can pay $800 per month for health insurence so when I go to see a specialist for 30 minutes his or her office bills me and my insurence company $300 to $500 for 30 minutes work . I had to hear about his insurence his overhead so I showed him my Snap-On tool account book and my $10 MILLON dollar liability policy that at the time cost our company $30,000 per year for 3 of us !
But we are all just overpaid wrenches again till something goes to shit !

Every place I ever worked those deemed non-essential quickly found themselves unemployed . As for being paid after the fact for days not worked wow if there is equal protection under the law for all American citizen the times I was laid off due to lack of work between contract jobs I am owed a lot of money . I’ll call my worthless overpaid representitives certainly they will jump right on that after they secure health and welfare for anchor babies and their families and increase the debt already blocking my front sidewalk !
