It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. Never hear songs like that on the radio any more . At least I don’t.

Haunting, this melody and Familiar images, especially for men of my age. My morning mourning meditation returned it to me first thing this day. I played it several times. I had to look up the lyrics as my high frequency hearing loss makes it difficult to understand the words. When the words and melody of a song match, it is artful evidence to me, of the divine.

Providence works in wondrous ways.

I posted here a while back about dead cats and a floral feline funeral. The same day I sent the text of my comment to my white witch, several states away, sharing my grief. She replied within an hour telling me of her cat’s immediate crisis and slow unfolding demise that began just after reading my letter. She had to let the vet put down her beloved cat Bama the next day. Her love for the cat prompted contact with a taxidermist do what Roy Rogers did to Trigger.

So I shared the song with her today and I prefaced the viddy with a quote from an introduction by Douglas H. Gresham to the short booklet A Grief Observed by C. S. Lewis. All to help her heal her heart.

“Encountering amid her reading of a wide variety of authors the work of the British writer C. S. Lewis, she became aware that beneath the fragile and very human veneer of the organized churches of the world, there lies a truth so real and so pristine that all of man’s concocted philosophical posings tumble into ruin beside it.”

“And I tend to close my eyes when it hurts sometimes
I fall into your arms
I’ll be safe in your sound ’til I come back around”
