Kathy Zhu a pretty Asian Miss Michigan found out that she doesn’t have free speech. The organization Miss World America took away her Miss Michigan title and banned Miss Zhu from further participation in their pageants. The reason? Someone complained that Miss Zhu’s posted opinions on social media are “offensive, insensitive and inappropriate.”
Did Miss Zhu post hateful comments like “the squad” did about President Trump and America? No. Miss Zhu did much worse things: She refused to don a hijab, which means she is Islamophobic, and she stated that black Americans kill more black Americans than do the police, which means she is racist.
If Miss Zhu had donned a hijab, she would have risked being lumped in with congresswoman Ilhan Omar and said to be anti-American, not a helpful designation for a beauty queen. Have we already forgotten that, according to the official story, we were attacked on 9/11 by Islamic terrorists who destroyed 3 New York skyscrapers, part of the Pentagon and many US lives? Muslims are the reason we have TSA and searches of airline passengers. Why would Michigan’s beauty queen want to associate herself with these memories?
If Miss Zhu had said that the police are the main killers of black Americans, it would have been a lie, but not distressing to victim groups. By telling the truth, Miss Zhu caused “distress” and, therefore, was guilty of a racist act. Miss World America officials decided that as Miss Zhu was Islamophobic and racist she was no longer “of good character” and, thus, her association with the Miss World America organization was terminated by Laurie DeJack, Michigan state director of the organization.
Perhaps Laurie isn’t very bright and can’t tell the difference between free speech, truth, and racism and also cannot see good sense in Miss Zhu’s reluctance to associate herself with Muslims with whom the US is at war and has been at war since Miss Zhu was two years old. As my readers know, I think the “Muslim terrorist” threat in America is a hoax and a Ziocon orchestration to deceive Americans into fighting Israel’s wars, but most Americans don’t. The minute Miss Zhu donned a hijab and a photo was snapped, she would have been history.
There is an alternative explanation to Laurie DeJack’s arbitrary action against Miss Zhu. Perhaps Miss World America is a white supremacist organization and has seized the opportunity to get back one of its titles from a racial minority. It seems to me that Miss Zhu has a racial discrimination suit.
Miss Zhu’s pageant colleagues should rally around her and let Laurie DeJack know that if Miss Zhu goes, they go too. It will be interesting to see if women are as mutually supportive as feminists want them to be.

I’ve had a little bit of exposure to “beauty queens” and, an initial summation is that their mindset tends to be, “I’m pretty and all other women are bitches”. So, no, I would not expect her to receive any support from her fellow pageant participants – they got bills to pay, pictures to take, and names to make. That she has stood on principle means that the rest of them have one less competitor.
I think it might better read “It will be interesting to see if women are as mutually supportive as feminists ALLOW them to be.”
I have found the bias against conservative women who choose somewhat traditional roles for themselves, (such as I chose after becoming a mother) to be overwhelming.
Even here at TBP. Where I managed to save enough money to pay for my retirement at age 53 and was disparaged for clipping coupons and sending in Tampon rebates because I haven’t a small head.
Hypocrisy exists where it exists, boys.

The pageant’s parent company is obviously discriminating against this woman of East Asian heritage. I hope Ms. Zhu sues them for millions of dollars. In fact I hope the sexist organization and their productions, which exploits females for profit, is boycotted and ultimately fails.

I’m curious, since this article didn’t specify, did the contest require/expect the participants to don a hijab? That would be shocking unto itself. Nothing uglier than a white woman in a hijab – especially because only the fattest, ugliest cows convert to that fucked up religion just to get a man.
Obviously it’s true that more black people are killed by (non-cop) black people than by cops. It’s roughly 40:1. The Washington Post has been putting out an annual compilation of killings by police in the US. Since 2015, they kill about 1,000/year and blacks constitute about 29-30%, whites 45+%.
“It’s ok to be white” was a brilliant slogan. I think that another line that should gain currency is:
“Is it racist if it’s true?”
The girl is a UM student and the incident regarding the hijab was done on campus, not associated with any beauty contest events. I don’t blame her for avoiding the Islamic bag.
You will find many Chinese immigrants to the USA are culturally conservative and have little patience for the SJW antics going on at university. They’re too busy getting a real education and ignore the fools.
Ms. Zhu seems to like social media and her opinions weren’t welcome in that Prog-infested swamp.

Muslim students at the college then began a campaign to have Zhu expelled. One, who said she was manning the booth, replied, “I invited you to try one on and you said ‘no thank you…You didn’t take the time to even ask questions or try to understand what Hijab is. That’s ignorant of you. You literally sprinted after taking the photos. That’s pathetic.””

When they first started reporting their data (mid 2015) they inadvertently undercut the narrative that cops were mostly shooting black people, even though they try to frame the data that way.
I came to US with the hope of liberty and prosperity. It seems that both are out of reach to common people now.
Miss Zhu is from my race. We usually are very skeptical to Muslim culture.
My wife is ethnic Han Chinese and has been a citizen of the US for years. Her prescient mother dragged the family away from Mao’s Communists before they became victims. I’m as white as the day is long and am considered a cultural novelty among her Chinese friends. At first her friends wondered about the cultural and social divide until they got used to idea of our common values of work, education, and family. Our political and spiritual values do not conflict even though we are somewhat different in that respect.
We keep a photo of her mother in the kitchen which is the most active part of the house. At certain times she and the kids will burn incense in Old Na’s memory, something I will never discourage. If that old woman was still alive I’d thank her, but as a matter of fact, I thank her in spirit no matter what.
True strength in diversity was never about skin color or race. It’s a deadly lesson the Progs and their socialist friends will have to learn – again.

We allowed one boy to go to state university because his personality is somewhat different than the two younger ones because everyone has their own path to follow. After his four years of school he had to re-adjust and began de-programming himself away from the garbage they required for his four year degree.
The two younger ones have been sent to a very reputable private military school where the PC lunacy is less of a problem in a military environment, something that pleases me to no end because it’s more or less a finger in the eye of state-sponsored education.
There are no liberal arts majors in my house. LOL

Beauty contests are subjective. It’s marginally better than being reduced to pole dancing in order to get an extra scholarship or two.
All contests are now about “political correctness.” Last year they probably had a black girl, the year before that, a hispanic, etc. Just the asian’s turn. Sometimes its all about television ratings for the show.
