Quite a while back, the local parish priest in my small village allowed a transvestite to play the role of one of the Three Kings in our local Reyes cavalcade on Epiphany, following the Spanish custom that has the Kings distribute gifts in lieu of Santa Claus, who is not a Latin figure. Following this outrage, I had a chat with the priest, the employer of the tranny and with the tranny himself, not a bad guy really, but… This was before my grandchildren were born. Now that I have three? Well… Happily, the tranny left town and we have not seen a repeat of this incident. Was I responsible for this? My guess is that I contributed, because I was far from the only person to raise a fuss. But I’m very, very glad I added my two cents in a very serious way. This sort of thing must be stopped dead in its tracks.
