I Feel Sorry For President Trump

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

Yes, I know.  I am lining up on the wrong side.  You are supposed to hate him. The presstitutes hate Trump.  So does the Democratic Party, part of the Republican Party, the military/security complex, the entirety of the liberal/progressive/left, the universities, feminists, and Washington’s vassal states.  No one likes him but the “racist, white supremacist Trump deplorables.”

Nevertheless, I feel sorry for him.  I started feeling sorry for him when he announced he would run for President of the United States.  You see, I had inside information. I had held a presidential appointment from a President of the United States.  I ended up fighting battles for him against entrenched interests who opposed his policies to end stagflation and the cold war.  I helped to win the battles for him, as his accolades to me testify, but my success ended any career for me in government.

I knew that, unlike Reagan who had prepared his run over the years and had a movement behind him, Trump had not.  Moreover, also unlike Reagan, Trump had no idea of what he was walking into and no idea of who to appoint to important offices who might be inclined to help him.  Generally speaking, the value of a presidential appointment, such as the one I had, lies NOT in helping the president, but in helping the ruling private establishment.  Any Assistant Secretary can be very helpful to private interests and end up a multi-millionaire.  Indeed, most of them do.

But I put the country’s interest ahead of mine and helped Reagan to cure stagflation and to end the cold war. Curing stagflation was perceived as a threat by the economics profession which had no cure and didn’t want to be shown up by dissident supply-side economists, and much of Wall Street misunderstood what the media called “Reaganomics” as more inflationary deficit spending that threatened their stock and bond portfolios.  Ending the Cold War threatened the budget of the military/security complex, a dangerous undertaking.

A decade or two ago a person I had known when I was in Washington, who was a professor in Massachusettes, telephoned me.  He said he had just returned from Washington where he had had lunch with some of my former colleagues.  He had asked them about me, and according to his report, they said:  “Poor Craig.  If he had not turned critic , he would be worth tens of millions of dollars like us.”  My former acquaintance said that he stood up and said that he didn’t realize that he was having lunch with a bunch of whores and left.

Obviously, my adquaintance did not intend to return to a Washington career.

What does this have to do with Trump?  Trump’s life was going well. He is a billionaire married to the most beautiful woman in the world.  The last thing he needed was the problems of the United States.  To change the locked in, interest group controlled course of America requires a superhero. This is definitely not a job for an unprepared man in his 70s.  The truckloads of mud dumped on him by porn stars and prostitutes are unlikely to have strengthened his relationship with his wife.

As I predicted would be the case, Trump had no idea who to appoint to help him.  Consequently, he appointed everyone opposed to his renewal of American jobs and peaceful relationships with Russia, China, Iran, and the Middle East.  So nothing has changed.  Why in the world a successful person covets an office where failure is the norm is beyond me.

Trump’s first, and perhaps only, term has been consumed in the Russiagate orchestration.  John Brennan, the CIA director, and James Comey, the FBI director, along with President Obama, the Obama Justice (sic) Department, the presstitute American media, and the Hilary Democratic National Committee concocted an absurd investigation of the elected President of the United States as a Russian agent, a tool of Vladimir Putin’s plan to rule America. https://www.newsweek.com/russia-picked-donald-trump-and-ran-him-president-former-israeli-intelligence-1273009

How anyone could believe such a preposterous story is incredible.  But Democrats and the presstitutes claimed it was true.  But Mueller was unable to establish it.  After his failure, Mueller’s testimony before Congress was immensely embarrassing to him, the Democrats, and the whore American media.

Trump, with the deck cleared, hoped to hold accountable those who tried to overthrow him in a coup. Comey was investigated.  He was found indictable on a number of offenses. The Department of Justice (sic)  Inspector General’s report concluded:

“The IG report confirms Mr. Comey improperly kept FBI files on President Trump at his home and that he illicitly leaked these FBI files to the New York Times in order to advance his personal agenda of getting a Special Counsel appointed to target the president. Comey also misled both the FBI and Congress about his handling of these documents. On top of all of that, in violation of law, he kept and disclosed classified information.” https://myjw.pr.judicialwatch.org/wta/display.php?M=13957859&C=3d797cdad6d066eb4aea5476abdb6c54&E=pcr3%2540mac.com&L=55&N=6905&S=41063&AGENCY=jw&utm_source=deployer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=press+release&utm_content=20190831211224

Here is Howie Carr’s summary: Let me summarize the 80-plus pages for you by pulling out some quotes: “Violated Department and FBI policies. … Comey Improperly Disclosed … Comey’s Improper Disclosures… Comey’s characterization finds no support in the law and is wholly incompatible with the plain language of the statutes, regulations and policies defining federal records, and the terms of Comey’s FBI Employment Agreement. … Comey violated … this assertion is without legal basis. … Unauthorized disclosure … Former Director Comey failed to live up to this responsibility … a dangerous example …..” And so on.  http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/52184.htm

The IG report generously forgot that Comey went before the FISA Court with a fraudelant request, which is a felony.

Comey’s offenses exceed those of Mike Milken, Leona Helmsley, and Martha Stewart, all of whom were put in prison on false charges in order to raise the name recognization of ambitious publicity-seeking prosecutors, one of whom was Comey himself.  Comey framed Martha Stewart.

Rudi Guiliana framed Milken in order to become New York City Mayor.  Helmsley was framed on the basis of a false statement by an accounant solicited by the Justice (sic) Department in exchange for dropping prosecution of the accountant for his own misdeeds.

Mueller presided over the FBI’s 9/11 investigation and deepsixed all the real evidence in order to protect the false official story.

So, what did the Justice (sic) Department IG suggest for Comey?  The Justice  Department refused to prosecute.  Justice is far less important to the department than protecting its own.  The Justice  Department is itself engaging in misconduct by refusing to prosecute a person that the Justice  Department knows beyond all doubt committed crimes.  Did the Justice  Department decide that Comey’s crimes can be forgiven because they were committed for good cause—getting rid of President Trump?

Former US Attorneys and Assistant US Attorneys are on record predicting that there would be indictments of those who orchestrated Russiagate in a conspiracy of sedition to overthrow the elected President of the United States.   I would have liked to have believed it, but I never did.  The United States does not have a Justice system. In the place of justice the US has a weapon in the hands of the state.  It is not a weapon that the state often uses against its own functionaries.

Don’t forget.  The Justice  Department and FBI covered up for Hillary. She had broken laws governing official State Department email and used a private server to hide her wheeling and dealing.  Judicial Watch is attempting to open up the coverup. A federal court has given Judicial Watch  power to depose Hillary Clinton and Cheryl Mills and to interrogate others.  I suspect the judge will be overturned by a politically chosen Appeals Court, and that will be the end of the matter.

I am unable to recall examples of the US government or its officials being held accountable and do not remember a single incident other than President Reagan’s prosecution of the Iran-Contra neoconservatives, who were pardoned by President George H.W. Bush .

Now that Comey has been protected, we have to expect that his co-conspirators in the plot to overthrow the President of the United States will also be protected from prosecution.  It will be interesting to count all the crimes that will not be punished and add up all the prison years that won’t be served. When you think about the large percentage of innocent people in prison and on death row and about the mothers of young children who are imprisoned for drug possession, it makes you sick that Comey who tried to overthrow the elected President of the United States is permitted to walk.

All future presidents will have learned from Trump’s fate that their real job is to foment enough American enemies to keep the military/security complex’s budget expanding.  The United States will continue on its course toward war with its homemade adversaries.

I SO WISH the tens of thousands of oath keepers, minutemen, and similar armed militia groups would all gather and march on Washington in solidarity, in an ultimate peaceful show of force to show the enemies of our constitutional freedoms who they will face if they continue trampling on our values and rights… I know I would be there…

There’s a good message here. If you give Trump the benefit of the doubt, he was a loyal American who ran for selfless reasons to save his country. The full weight of the criminal federal government against him made it impossible for him to succeed. Ergo; the cure for this diseased government is beyond the electoral process. Stop hoping for a saviour.

I completely agree. The man was already rich and famous, why become President?
The “crimes” he has been accused of were 1. Possible moral failings in the form of cheating with women which is between him and his wife
2. A good faith effort to engage Putin and put a stop to the nonsense and possible escalation to war with Russia
Is he likable? Not really. Hes doesn’t use the “correct” words and he can be smug and arrogant, but really, show me someone in power who isn’t.
I don’t vote or support someone because of their likeability.
Imagine what could have been done had all this time and money not been wasted on nothing.
There are genuinely people out there who believe Putin has some kind of ridiculous movies of Trump peeing on prostitutes. I mean… come on.
Real crimes go unpunished and the corrupt are held up as saviors. The mind boggles.

When did the mass deportation of the 50+ million illegal aliens happen?

When did ending birthright citizenship for the children of non-citizens happen?

When did the Clinton-Obama crime syndicate go to prison?

When did the H1B visa scam end? How about ending chain migration?

When did we stop the white genocide in South Africa?

When did the opioid epidemic get solved?

Tip of the iceberg.

Straight over your head it goes. I’ll let Julian Assange explain it to you.

Here’s Why the Book Julian Assange Was Holding When He Was Arrested is Vitally Important
An excerpt by Gore Vidal in his book History of the National Security State
“It doesn’t actually make any difference whether the President is Republican or Democrat. The genius of the American ruling class is that it has been able to make the people think that they have had something to do with the electing of presidents for 200 years when they’ve had absolutely nothing to say about the candidates or the policies or the way the country is run.” ~ Gore Vidal

Your presence in the booth allows the oligarchy to maintain the fiction that our democracy is alive. By your attitude is is apparent that you are living in 1984’s Oceania where you are taught brainwashed that you have freedom of choice. You have no choice. That’s why Don the Con was Donald Trump in 2016, then at midnight on January 21st he transformed into Hillary Clinton. You chose Trump but you got Clinton. Think Soviet style red flag laws! Trump and Clinton will be throwing a party when that gets signed into law after 2020. And why isn’t that bitch in jail like Trump promised, “Lock her up”. Does your normalcy bias make you overlook that too? You have no control over nothing!

Americans have no control over the direction their country takes through voting and elections:

https://www.businessinsider.com/major-study-finds-that-the-us-is-an-oligarchy-2014-4

Voting doesn’t change the country. Never has and never will. Please continue in your fantasies of freedom and democracy, and the constitution dead letter which the government no longer recognizes, but in your dream state, you still believe they do. You would make a great fictitious character in George Orwell’s 1984.

Yes, just don’t vote. Sit on your hands and whine….you are an idiot. Did you not catch the part about Trump winning DESPITE all the push against him? And if voting were so unimportant then explain how the democrats are so desperate to give the vote to anything with a pulse. I don’t give a shit what Assange was reading or what Vidal wrote. Where you make your mistake is in believing that the status quo can be changed without protest. Voting didn’t create 1984, public apathy did. You armchair quarterback constantly but don’t get off your ass to do anything. Big mouth, no action.

You and your ilk are controlled opposition, you discourage voting but offer no recourse. If no one votes against the opposition then guess what happens. The opposition wins.
Instead of telling people to not vote, why don’t you tell them how to prevent 1984. You can’t. All you can do is bitch and pretend to be superior because your inaction expresses your protest against the system. Get real, come up with some solutions and quit whining.

Yes, just don’t vote.

Hey sheep shit, show me where I said not to vote at all. Go ahead you illiterate cock breath troll.

Here is what I said as quoted above;

1. “When you point out to the voting sheep the bogus promises unfulfilled by their orange Jesus, they just resort to normalcy bias and cognitive dissonance.”

3. “Voting doesn’t change the country. Never has and never will.”

What I have said, is that voting does not change anything. Voting does not set public policy. Voters have no control over the destiny of their country. When you vote, you do so in vain.

Where do I say not to vote at all?? Showing that voting has no effect is not the same as “not voting at all”. Vote all you want, but it won’t change anything. Voting is a slaves suggestion box and nothing more. As far as controlled opposition is concerned, WTF do you think voting actually does? Two party politics IS CONTROLLED OPPOSITION by it’s own nature.

It’s funny how I attributed 1984 to your cognitive dissonance and then you mention it back at me. We know from your writing that mind control is working on the masses and you. This cognitive dissonance is shrewdly imposed upon you without you even knowing it. When the state does this (as it has successfully done to you) it serves as the glue that holds together the collectivist mentality that you possess. That’s 1984 in you par excellence.

So continue to vote by all means. But just know that it is an action of faith and nothing more. It is purely symbolic. You will understand this better after 2020 when you or someone you know is “Red Flagged” by the Soviet leader in orange when he signs this into law with the blessing of the democrats.

Did you not catch the part about Trump winning DESPITE all the push against him?

People don’t vote for a person. They vote for what the person is going to do. Trump ain’t done shit for his constituency that put his ass in office. Middle America is the bulk of who put him in office. What has he done for them? NOTHING. He is the ultimate Judas Goat POTUS. Instead he cow tows and cuddles the wealth class while throwing the middle class under the bus. Instead of building a big wall, he built a big Wall Street. He purposefully waited until after the mid term elections to seek border wall funding. Because he knows people like you and the masses are not smart enough to see that it was a planned delay so that he could say, “See, look I tried to get the money for the wall and those dems in congress wouldn’t let me”. Jokes on you and your religion of voting. VOTE HARDER!

M G..
For the sake of the other readers, this is the last time I’ll repeat this story of voting in the 90’s.
We were on the verge of open rebellion by mid 93. After Bush and his NWO speech and then Ruby ridge followed by Clinton’s massacre 5 weeks after his swearing in.
WE were forming Constitution group, 2nd amendment groups and Militias all over the country and we we planning real sabbatoge like they drill for today. Key points were going to be taken out. We didn’t see any other option.
Along came our Simon Bolivar in the form of Newt Gingrich. He sold us on the Republican revolution. We broke our back turning Blue states Red in 94 and 96. By 98 nothing whatsoever had changed except that the new Republican controlled House and Senate turned a blind eye while Bill and Hill sent their goon squads around to see us ring leaders openly enough to scare off our supporters.
The heartache and letdown was so pervasive you could cut it with a knife. Being single and childless, I could afford to continue the fight but most just went home. Has everything you hold dear been threatened by the IRS or EPA? If not then you are also not doing anything but sniveling. When is the last time a white boy got in trouble for voting? When is the last time your wife got hysterical over the possibility of losing her home because of your politics. My service record has been altered in subtle ways to make it appear that I’m “Questionable”. Regardless of the amount of truth involved, it wasn’t like that when I was discharged.
Tell me something we fixed with the Republican Revolution. We kicked the deficit into this century and called the budget balanced when in fact we are now just beginning to pay for that lie 20 some years ago. We have had two Presidents who started out with majorities in House and Senate. Tell me what’s different. Tell Admin where he is wrong in his essay at the top of the page. And don’t insult me with “AT LEAST HE’S NOT HILLARY”. What horseshit. All those Faux Conservatives wouldn’t have suddenly retired and given the house to the Dems and we would be plotting her impeachment instead of Donnie’s but nothing else would be any different except we wouldn’t hate Russia so much and they would have even more of our Uranium.
So now that my rant is over, start a real revolt and YOU GO FIRST THIS TIME.

I’m not the one whinging and whining because the status quo continues despite who’s in office. You make no mention of the uphill battle that Trump faces, you forget all that Obama did and you negate the impact that a Hillary would have had. You forget how the Russiagate bullshit got started, who started it and you ignore the complicit media. You don’t like that Trump hasn’t fulfilled your lofty goals, but you ignore what he has accomplished. You like the Obamacare insurance requirement? That’s gone. You like the Small Arms Treaty, the World Waterways
You believe yourself enlightened but all you are is a nihilist. You offer no solutions, you armchair quarterback.
I have absolutely no illusions about how things work, the malfeasance of government and the evils of same. I have no illusions about propaganda and it’s functions and I’m well aware of cognitive dissonance, I don’t hold any illusions therefore I’m not hanging onto false beliefs. I do believe that a difference can be made, sometimes just with the wallet and non-compliance.

You did a great job of obfuscating and putting words in my mouth.
I did offer solutions. Two of them that we applied in the 90’s and what happened. Then I told you that I soldiered on when my friends with families went home, I just didn’t tell you how I continued on because I guessed correctly that you are the whiner cloaked in self pity. I asked you scars you had from fighting the system. I asked you what’s different. The best you could do is offer some fantasies about what would happen if Hillary had won. What ifs. Nobody talked about “all that Obama did” so why should I mention it. You accused some of us of not doing anything and I spent a fair amount of time telling you what we did and out of respect for a sincere answer you shoot back with the same cheap trash your crowd always resorts to.
Tell me again what you have done. No white boy has been arrested for voting republican so just voting is squat. Have you put together a functional underground network or joined one. Have you gone to black neighborhoods and canvased for black conservatives.
Give me some skin you sniveley motherfucker. What have you done and whats better after 3 years of trump. Not what Hillary would have done. whats better you wormy fucking piece of shit.

Almost verbatim to the response my conservative dad used to tell me. Point being I’ve fought the wasteful and deceitful spending, nepotism, outright theft by deception; I’ve called the ‘lodge’ out, whether he be a plumber/electrician/dept. head/supervisor, or the local yocal that campaigned saying one thing and did another…..

Quick to incite revolt but slow to show up at the schoolyard on Saturday to take on the bully.

The actions that go on in the upper levels of our govt are reprehensible. It’s open and observable to anyone who cares to take a look beyond the MSM. What it would take to cure the disease will apparently never happen. That being legal action that’s already on the books to put the criminals where they belong. My disgust grows daily.

This is the 2nd “helpless Trump vs the Swamp” article in a week. Boy they sure don’t want conservatives leaving the 2-party plantation.

In the beginning I almost felt sorry for Him, but the many displays of his arrogance and hubris quickly reminded me why he is El Douche

The “stable genius” “chosen one ” , “King of Israel” haha
Who invited the Douche??comment image

“He didn’t realize he was having lunch with a bunch of whores and left.” Best line I’ve read in decades. It describes DC to a T.

what really bothered me about this article is what the link about israel stated–it was to a newsweek story & quoted the former head of the mossad as saying that the russians worked hard to ensure trump’s victory–
that guy should know better–

Red.
Yes he should know better. All the votes they created for hillary. He didn’t lose the popular vote. Said strictly from a vote counting view.
I still think he was selected to keep conservatives from open rebellion.

He was selected, you hit the nail on the head. The establishment/corporatocracy/deep state is always looking for a candidate with lots of skeletons, Hillary was too far gone mentally, and everyone knew it, (she is a drunk) so they picked the carnival barker, the tv personality, the egomaniac, and thought they could roll him over with their tools.

Unfortunately for them, the guy is smart, and fires back.

What they are doing now, believe it or not, is to actually promote a recession, so they can blame it on him, and get it him out of office.

These are the people who run our country, they obviously are not looking out for our best interests.

Even if every patriot pulled his money from the system and stuffed it in a mattress, it wouldn’t even make a dent in the market.

We are powerless, the only thing we could do, is stop working, and force their hand. Forget marching, forget protesting, just stop working, and wait for them to come to the table.

And as all the intelligent comments have pointed out, voting is useless, it is not going to change the machinery behind the curtain, only the actors on the stage.

I agree, anymouse;

“We are powerless, the only thing we could do, is stop working, and force their hand. Forget marching, forget protesting, just stop working, and wait for them to come to the table”

Every four years they hold a big ole party called an election, and at the last one there were about 130 million participants. As long as we're loadin the bowl, let's load it with the dream of NOBODY showing up to the dance…..130 million no longer signing up for 'implied consent'

At the rate we’re going there won’t be many more Presidents. Our institutions will soon have the same gravitas as the institutions of the Soviet Union. They will cease to exist. God knows what kind of institutions will rise to replace them, but I suspect that a bullet pocked brick wall in the back alley may well be a necessary feature of many of them.

This piece really depressed me. I know or think I know how bad the swamp really is but this one hit a nerve like a rotten tooth sending the ignoble message of severe pain.
Try to stay positive and push forward always.
But this sent me into a fury at the tomato horned worm eating the final tomatoes, chickens being fowl chickens and Japanese beetles munching and copulating on the asparagus. I want to bulldoze the garden and, well, not just yet.
No doubt we are as a nation, like a turd circling the bowl, going down.

I don’t feel sorry for Trump. He’s a cunning opportunist. He’s a salesman who was clever enough to sniff the wind and see an opportunity which would at least add a lot of value to his brand. His personality type thrives on conflict. Like Uriah the Hittite Trump is always “in the forefront of the battle”, ’cause that’s where he wants to be
