I wrote a piece that I had hoped to post this morning but I wasn’t quite done with it yesterday. Yet it never made it to post, because I couldn’t finish it last night. Do you know why? Because my bride dragged me to a nearby college to watch a play of which the troupe looked very much like the characters above – even the actresses.
It was an “artistic” self-actualized production whereby the students played themselves revealing their innermost secrets. Of course all of the little socialists pranced around on stage celebrating their “pride” – and one guy even professed his affection for “bears” (i.e. fat middle-aged hairy homosexual men).
And for the grand finale, they all pointed fake rifles at the audience and shouted in unison how guns make us all targets.
Thanks honey. For nothing. But, to be fair, it wasn’t what she expected either. They tricked us with bait and switch marketing tactics.

We got there late and ended up sitting in the front row, too. People were staring at me for not clapping, including some of the players on stage. It was awkward. For them.
I think that perhaps a perfectly legitimate spectator response to such avant garde “artistic” theatre would be to drop trou’ and take a shit right there at the orchestra or proscenium just prior to leaving the venue. This definitive act and statement could be called a “San Francisco salute.”
