Everyone knows deaths come in threes. Two iconic 1970s rock and rollers have died in the last couple days. Who’s next?

I can tell you who WON’T be next … Keith Richards…!!
He’s harder to kill than Ruth Bader Ginsburg !
I listened to them a good bit in high school as I had a friend who loved that band. I was more of a hard rock type but that was ok between us .Damn I with be 58 years old in October. Getting old sucks.

Nova Scotia, what you got?
I am 58 now! Still running and cycling in neon Lycra, age is just a number!
Some numbers are more equal than others.
59 in December and not cycling but walking really fast.
Ooo Ooo I know Jagger
Well, I did see Journey in the same venue the same era as BOTH the aforementioned Dead guys.
(John Cougar and Bob Seger too… just sayin’ Maybe I should change the cemetery moniker?)
Aren’t we all.
David Crosby isn’t looking too good.
Am I missing something, is there a betting line?
I switched from graveside sobriety to gateside patriotism.
Anyone got McCartney for next week?
I’m betting on Mick Jagger…
Bad bet. They just PLAYED here two weeks ago.
Was he ever?
hasn’t looked good for years…
Just read that Rod Stewart has been battling the Big C for a few years.
olivia newton john’s cancer has come back badly enough that when asked about it in an interview she said that she told her doc that she didn’t want a prognosis but she told the interviewer that it wasn’t good–
She was headlining a New Year’s Eve TV special in ’74 when I fell in love with her. I could have been under the influence of alcohol.
The man must have been doing something right to keep Paulina around for 28 years.
RIP Ric.
I’ll never forget the first time I heard “Goodtimes Roll”. It was during the summer at my high-school buddy’s house. His brother was home from college, had a kick-ass system, and cranked it at near full volume.
Now, as for the third one? Well, let’s see. First went Money, then the lead singer for The Cars. Generally speaking, cars are the second largest expenditure for most American households.
So what does that leave? Obviously, the largest expenditure for most American households: The house.
Therefore, perhaps number 3 could be Eric Burdon who, I believe is now approaching 80 years of age. He was the lead singer for The Animals who sang “The House of the Rising Sun”.
Or, it could be David Byrne, the lead singer of The Talking Heads who sung “Burning Down the House”. I believe Byrne is in his upper 60s now?
Because when Money is gone, The Cars get repossessed and the house gets foreclosed. And usually in that order.
Or not.
Creative. I liked it, Unpredictable.
I jumped the gun, and followed MGs lead about Ocasek on the Moneyman’s thread.
Always liked The Dangerous Type. Even posted it here a few months back, underneath a hottie’s photo on a FF.
Used to crank volume up high and listen to The Cars “Stranger Eyes”, back in me late 20’s when equalizer amps were the rage in car audio, before subwoofers and crossovers started getting installed.
“Bye, bye, love” (your music, that is).
That, followed immediately after by Moving In Stereo / All Mixed Up, made up one side of a cassette.
These 2 should always play together, and not be split by DJs.
Like EJ’s Funeral For A Friend segues into Love Lies Bleeding;
Journey has a combo two like that, as does Seger, J. Geils, and more.
That’s my tops Cars song.
Neil Young

Speaking of tongue…
Gene Simmons?
I was not much a fan of The Cars.
But I really did like The Trucks.

Just think – Larry King is still alive. Also Kissinger, Soros, Greenspan.
Pineal glands of children…
Cokie Roberts?
