SCIENCE LESSON

It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. Please consider contributing an amount commensurate to the value that you receive from this site and community, or even by becoming a sustaining supporter through periodic contributions. Almost all my Public School Teachers were old, stupid and lazy liberals. In 12 years, I had two good teachers and both taught advanced Math. Please support Vouchers so no White or Asian students are left behind in Public Schools.

Sorry Charlie, I was a very poor kid who scored 472 points out of 495 possible on the Florida 12th Grade Placement Test (250 was average), the Florida Secretary of Agriculture (Dole Conner) invited a dozen of us high scorers to lunch, got a STEM scholarship to FSU and exempted all my Freshman classes. That’s dumb to you?

For a while there I thought EC was having a couple of bad days, but now am wondering if he is having an off month?

I share your idea that public education is lacking, for a variety of reasons. We took our kids out of public schools (Motto: we produce average students); their new teachers-although paid substantially less than the union teachers-almost always would tell us how much more they liked teaching in an environment where all the players took on a win-win attitude and helped out in so many different ways.

Sometimes you get out of the world what you put into it.

Our Public Schools are not producing average in the developed world: the most recent Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) results from 2015 placed the U.S. an unimpressive 38th out of 71 countries in math and 24th in science.

Teacher reminded me of Michael Corleone’s first wife, Apolonia.

Modern kids are wimps. My physics teacher did that with me. Had me stand with my head against a concrete wall and then pulled the bowling ball up to my nose. Told me not to move. I didn’t. Great demo.

He was trying to impress the girls in the class and his hot teacher and forgot about the momentum lesson. His black and blue balls will be a good reminder to pay attention.
