Buy your vegetable seeds while you can. Non-gmo, heritage open pollination seeds if possible. Read everything now on the internet, save on a document and print about saving seed, sometimes one forgets information as we grow older. Seed not stored properly (light, humidity) the germanation rates go down quite a bit.
Also on ebay one can buy a really cheap book on canning with a pressure cooker, can even can meat and greens such as collards, so a couple of cases of canning jars might be a good investment. You’ve got to eat.
