Dramatic Footage Shows Home Owner Fight Off Home Invaders In Fatal Confrontation
It was a normal day for one homeowner in the wealthy Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights. When the doorbell rang, he assumed his landscapers had arrived, and opened the door.
However, the masked men standing outside weren’t his landscapers. They pushed their way into the house, carrying a bag of zip ties and a blow torch. Doorbell footage that later leaked to the Internet shows the two would-be robbers, Bradley Finnan, 39, of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Larry Brodacz, 58, of another nearby suburb, pushing their way into the house, followed by the sounds of a scuffle indoors.
20 seconds later, Finnan can be seen running out of the house, with the homeowner in pursuit. The homeowner can be seen tackling, then brutally pummeling Finnan with his fists, while shouting for help from his neighbors. Finnan gets away, but trips, and was later taken into custody by police.
However, his partner wasn’t so lucky.
What happened exactly isn’t clear, but at some point, the homeowner managed to fatally shoot Brodacz. The two home invaders appeared to not b
Now, Finnan has been charged with home invasion and murder (since, in most states, if someone is killed in commission of a felony their accomplices are held responsible for the killing) by prosecutors in Cook County.

Masked men force their way into someones home for criminal purposes? The homeowner is very lucky and obviously a stalwart fellow. I would have liked for him to put the scumbag he was beating into a bloody coma right there at the porch.
NO namby pamby for the vile criminal who survived. Full due process; a speedy trial; an appeal if warranted; if duly convicted – a publicly held execution for all the townspeople to observe and learn from.
All of their (the criminals) property confiscated to pay for court costs and left over funds for the victim homeowner. Any children put into foster homes.
I will add, and kill their families, parents and children to underline the message. When criminals fear what happens to their families they will stop. The sins of the fathers will be visited on their offspring. Harsh but effective. Economically sound. By breaking societal norms they are beyond the pale.
What a shame that the taxpayers will be victimized again prosecuting and incarcerating the other scumbag.

When it comes to home defense I preach one gospel. Never open the door without your hand on your gun. Never open it all the way. Make them break the chain lock so the first one falls inward. Shoot the one behind him then shoot the first one before he gets his balance.

In my old life I was a two bit thug who had the good fortune of being the 3rd guy in line. We were after some other thugs and got surprised by a first rate BAMF’r.
The media has got to be the torn on this one – on the one hand you’ve got video evidence of white guys committing a crime, but on the other hand the footage bolsters the idea of self defense and gun ownership. My guess is that in their minds the former isn’t worth risking the latter and you won’t see this on any major news channel.
Fighting off home invaders is pretty straightforward.
Fight back with everything you’ve got.

The guy who lived… on his mug shot, he’s almost weeping. He got pummeled by the homeowner, and inmates are going to make the rest of his life rather miserable.
Pleasantly surprised the homeowner hasn’t been charged given this is Illinois, but I hope other wanna-be burglars take note and realize that this can happen to them.
