Is Thinking Cancelled?

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

Everything’s in play now. Consensual reality is on the run — the old certainties of US history and the receding promises of the future sink into a fiery sludge of the corona virus present. Things happen without apparent consequence. Authority is on lam. Coercion stalks the land rooting out thought-crime. Fantasies and delusions rush into the space that reason has vacated in fear of its life. Maybe better not think it all. But you can’t help it, can you? To be human is to be dogged by your own thought.

One thought I can’t help thinking is that the failure to resolve the dishonest operations of RussiaGate is a big part of what drove authority and responsibility, those two sentinels of sanity, AWOL. The crimes of officers in the FBI, DOJ, CIA, and other agencies go unadjudicated while clear evidence of their seditious misdeeds has been publicly documented and widely published. It seems as if this great matter of attempting to overthrow the president has come down to the sheer will of William Barr and John Durham daring to ignite the engines of consequence, and you wonder if they have any idea how their stalling damages the national psyche.

General Flynn, the American Dreyfus, remains twisting slowly in the wind despite the DOJ dropping charges against him. Judge Emmet Sullivan is busy destroying the credibility and authority of the federal bench with bad faith procedural shenanigans underwritten by Ben Wittes’s Lawfare claque of Beltway shysters maneuvering in the background to protect Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Is it not past time for the DC Circuit Court of Appeals to force Judge Sullivan to end the case, or admonish and remove him?

Beyond all the legalese bullshit, an innocent man’s life is stuck unfairly and unjustly in limbo after three years of a malicious prosecution. Why has the attorney general not preferred charges against Gen. Flynn’s chief prosecutor, Brandon Van Crack — or, for that matter, against Robert Mueller, Andrew Weissmann and the whole Special Counsel staff — for withholding evidence and plenty of other obvious prosecutorial mischief? Mr. Barr has stated plainly more than once that the agency he took charge over in 2019 “us[ed] the criminal justice process as a political weapon.” Is that against the law or not? Does it injure this society to leave that question unanswered, month after month?

In a better society, the newspapers would have rushed to Gen. Flynn’s defense. Except our leading newspapers are so vested in years of their own untruth that they don’t dare to cover the story. Where is the consequence for Dean Baquet, editor of The New York Times, since Times staffer Bari Weiss disclosed his failure to control the ideological bullying, coercion, and hostility to fair play in his newsroom?  Mr. Baquet has not just wrecked an institution; he’s made the whole business of covering reality look like a hustle. Does The New York Times’s board of directors not care about its reputation? Maybe the message is: why should anyone care about his or her reputation? And what kind of culture grows out of that code?

The mayors of New York, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, Portland, Atlanta, and Washington DC have all allowed rioting, looting, property destruction, and arson to reign in their streets, and entertained measures to defund and hogtie the police, or abolish them altogether. These are all Democratic Party-controlled cities with Democratic mayors.

Do you suppose that voters have had a good look at these scenes and concluded that the Democratic Party is perhaps uninterested in civil order? And for what purpose, exactly? Does it reflect badly on President Trump that the murder rate under Bill de Blasio and Lori Lightfoot is suddenly off-the-charts while they are busy undermining police authority and its ability to protect the public. What do you make of St. Louis Chief Prosecutor (effectively DA) Kim Gardner moving to prosecute Mark and Patricia McCloskey for defending their house against a mob that threatened to burn it down? Missouri governor Mike Parson declared over the weekend that he’ll pardon the couple in short order if they are charged — at last, an unequivocal and decisive action on behalf of sanity.

There will be a whole lot more in the way of real-life problems to make the American people crazy in the months ahead. We have not even cleared up the affronts to decency and reason that happened before the corona virus landed and began destroying millions of lives and livelihoods. The siren call from anarchy is already blaring. Is there anything about this republic that you think is worth defending? Is thinking cancelled?

Thinking is still ok….so long as you don’t verbally express your thoughts.

Gonna take a lot of lead to cure this disease.

Thinking is a White Man’s activity. THAT’S why it’s now a ‘sin’ to think… and not to FEEL your way to a ‘solution’- It’s the payout of the fictional dystopian novels, ‘Earth Abides’ from the 1950’s and ‘Camp of the Saints’ from the 1970’s.

“The people should be led, not followed, as God has ordained… Those who say, ‘The voice of the people is the voice of God,’ are not to be listened to, for the unruliness of the mob is always close to madness.”
– Deacon Alcuin of York to Charlemagne

“Nature has made them slaves; all that law and government can do, is to regulate, modify and mitigate their slavery.” – George Fitzhugh, Sociology for the South, or, The Failure of Free Society

“You can only tell what laws, institutions and governments will effect, when you apply them to the same race or nation under the same circumstances in which they have already been tried.”- ibid.

” The siren call from anarchy is already blaring.”
-JHK

America is, and has been, under attack by the Communists; Negroists; Maoists; Trotskyites; anarchists; jihadists; and other interested parties for almost a century and now the warfare is overt.

Is the Truth strong enough to wake the somnambulating nation from the torpor induced by C0Vid-19(84), economic implosion and race riots? ( Auntie doesn’t think so, unfortunately.)

On the positive side of the cancelled-thinking malady — the U.P*.S.A is still Bringing Them Democracy (TM) to Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, Niger…..

*Psychotic.

We are in an undeclared war. We don’t quite realize it at present, we just want to go on about our business, raise our families and be left alone however, the days of that happening are long over. Just like the folk in Syria (and many other countries) wanted to raise their families and be left alone, they didn’t realize they were at war until the mortars hit.

Nope, the Imperial War Machine is grinding along and now that machine has turned it’s gaze inward. If anyone is so naïve as to believe the Antifa/BLM nonsense is spontaneous and grassroots then they need a swift kick in the ass. The same group that promotes and funds the external war machine is also funding and promoting the internal war machine and they do it for profit and control.

Boobus Americanus is too lazy, fat, willfully ignorant and stupid to understand what is happening. The lower classes get their tattoos, watch the TV and consume while playing on their phones. If black they riot and steal shit and attack whatever moves.

The more affluent ones are happy to snitch on their neighbors like the good little Karens and Kevins that they are, they promote the propaganda while bemoaning their whiteness and attacking anyone who goes counter to the narrative. They aren’t worth bothering with or sacrificing oneself over and, sadly, they are legion.

Oh, honey, the war has been declared. It’s been declared since Brown v. Board, the Hart-Celler Immigration ‘Reform’ Act, Little Rock, George Wallace, Kennedy’s murder, LBJew’s ‘Civil Wrongs’ act, Loving v. Virginia…. well, it actually was legalized (if immoral and anti-biblical laws can ever be ‘legal’) by the WBTS. And I’m a Yankee!

There is plenty worth defending for most.
Juxtaposed with very little worth defending for many.
Let’s take China and focus there in this context.
Is our current economic model, service industry, coupled with consumption of cheap, disposable, chinese crap, worth defending?
No.
That’s a big fuckin problem.
An answer China and their paid for traitors, will not accept without repercussions.
The CCP paid, and now they intend to collect.
The current Marxist/Fascist revolutionary salad is devoid of principals other than those expedient enough to destabilize sufficiently to seize power.
Marxism sells to the bereft street urchins and fascism sells to their corporate overlords.
All to be replaced by a burgeoning technototalitarian AI system incubated in China, released worldwide at financial reset via 5G infrastructure.
What is worth defending in this light?

I still believe this country is worth fighting for.,and I have made my mind up. When the time comes I will fight for it.The only problem is…..I have met very few who are interested in fighting for it. Also I have met very few I would allow to fight along side me. It is sad when I feel I am alone on an island with my thinking. Still the time is coming when the choice will have to be made by more than just myself.

Been downhill ever since.

DC is not worth defending. The enemy has already conquered it. Whoever firebombs it must make sure congress is in session and that they also get the suburbs where the lobbyists and thinktankers live.

I am now a veteran of the psychic war known as Covid-19 (soon to be replaced with Covid-20, 21, etc)

After having my name and number forwarded to the “authorities” by my dufuss neighbor, who finally tested positive after months of testing (he thinks he won something, he is an idiot). I am now getting harassed on the phone by multiple entities: Contact tracers, State Dept. of Health, (who’s next?)

They are all calls from hysterical women, who are obviously reading from a script, logic has no impact:

“you have been exposed to the virus” – no, I have not, some old fart did.

” you may be infected now” – the words “may be” is not part of the Constitution, or any of the amendments, specifically the 4th.

“you need to get tested” – fuck you, fuck you, fuck you

here is what the CDC says:

1. there is no approved treatment for the covid
2. If you test negative, then it only means you are negative for that test only, you could still have covid
3. you could be exposed to covid after the test, in which case, you probably have covid and have no symptoms, and need to get retested.

4. return to number 1 and repeat for ever, you are now stuck in the vortex of covid circular logic, and there is no escape.

You can not make this shit up.

Yes , Barr and Durham know full well what damage is being done to the body politic. They are doing it purposefully, with malice and forethought. None of what is going on is happening by chance, except (perhaps… perhaps not…) the demise of Mr. Floyd. All the rest, without any exception, is part of the plan to stop pretending that the rule of law, not of men is paramount. Those days are over, and it is way past time to stop imagining and hoping otherwise.

It really is US versus Them. There are only a few thousand of them, maybe 15 thousand if you include all immediate staff. They meant to win, bigly. They will only be defeated when we act on the decision to begin the killing and not stop until the job is done, and all the various swamps drained. Hard, vicious stuff. Not pretty. Not fair. Not legal. You don’t like it,? Prepare to wear chains for a while, then starve. It is coming pretty quick.

Llpoh, I do not get invited to the meetings, or keep the roll, so I can’t say for sure what the actual total is but… the real players are in the smaller 5 figures worldwide. Those people have a lot of enthusiastic aides, but the direction and impetus comes from a very small number of selfish freaks. Get rid of them, and the beast will be defanged. Others will rise quickly, but that is the way it will always be.

Add up the politicians and their staff heads, add the department heads. Add the C-suite of all the traded companies. Add the “independently wealthy” like Gates and Soros, and their blood relatives. Not really that many people. Way less than are attributed to the Coronavirus® scam in the US (maybe NY!) alone.

It is a doable deal. It would be ugly, but we could find and whack everyone on a good list in about 3 days, tops. It probably won’t happen, but nothing else will do the job.

Maybe this outing of the true nature of our government will be of use, but perhaps not. Unless you have maintained your television in quarantine, then you are likely infected.

Civil disobedience has returned as a normal thing for some of us. For others, tyranny has become a right ensconced into law by government fiat and those who cannot imagine life without the usual heavy yoke. These two views are not easily resolved. I laugh when various Karens film me walking about without a muzzle – but it has yet to become confrontational, maybe due to the many people buying handguns? Not sure, but something holds back the confrontations turning physical for now.

Everyone should exercise that civil disobedience muscle – it is long atrophied here in western society, even though the sheer volume of laws on the books make NOT breaking them impossible. It has been this way most of my life, so to me it is good that people show their natures by overtly disobeying or not. Government needs to understand this will not be easy for them outside of urban zones.

Not too worried about the inevitable confrontation. In a country where most people have never even butchered an animal, much less experienced being shot or stabbed, things will not last long. When you have no idea where your food or water even come from, you do not last long unless you are young and flexible enough to learn.

We were killing feral hogs on my farm, and threw several young keepers into the truck. We were gutting them on the tailgate where it is easily washed off, when a minivan drove by. It pulled over and a man opened the door to puke, then they sped away most rapidly.

The threshing floor is going to be interesting to observe and write about in the next few years – most people have no idea what happens when you corner a frightened animal with teeth or tusks – including these “government types”.

Thinking isn’t “cancelled” per se, its just that consensus and the tragedy of offending someone who should have been minding their own business to begin with has become far more important. Plus, thinking is hard. How’d I do?
