“Don’t Buy Goodyear Tires” – Trump Rages Over Firms’ “Diversity”-Driven MAGA-Hat Ban

Via ZeroHedge

Update (1040ET): President Trump is furious at Goodyear’s clearly biased “diversity” training and has tweeted a rather angry response:

Goodyear shares are down 4%…

*  *  *

As we detailed earlier, a slide that purports to be from Goodyear’s diversity training has leaked and appears to show that the company considers “Blue Lives Matter,” “All Lives Matter” and “MAGA” attire “unacceptable,” while at the same time encouraging “Black Lives Matter” and “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride (LGBT)” attire.

The differences are shown under a slide that appears to be outlining a zero tolerance policy. Aptly named, if we say so ourselves.

As The Gateway Pundit put it, the slide appears to be “zero tolerance” against support for police or conservative values. Which, of course, flies in the face of actually engaging in the values of tolerance and equality.

The employee who took the photo of the slide claimed that it was “presented at a Topeka plant by an area manager and says it came from their corporate office out of Akron, Ohio,” according to a report from WIBW.

The employee told WIBW: “If someone wants to wear a BLM shirt in here, then cool. I’m not going to get offended about it. But at the same time, if someone’s not going to be able to wear something that is politically based, even in the farthest stretch of the imagination, that’s discriminatory.”

They continued: “If we’re talking about equality, then it needs to be equality. If not, it’s discrimination.”

Goodyear responded to WIBW, but dodged inquiries about whether or not the slide came from their corporate office. The company stated:

“Goodyear is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where all of our associates can do their best in a spirit of teamwork. As part of this commitment, we do allow our associates to express their support on racial injustice and other equity issues but ask that they refrain from workplace expressions, verbal or otherwise, in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party as well as other similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of equity issues.”

So supporting the fair treatment of “all lives” and police is no longer an “equity issue”?

The radical left has been “voting with their dollars” for years, and we adopted that approach a couple years ago. We have had to stop transacting with probably 30-40 companies and have stopped using countless products/brands since we made a real commitment to it. It kinda hurts for a minute, but I will not let my hard earned income go to support Antifa, BLM, the homo agenda, communism or any other such evil bullshit if I can help it. It also means we have abandoned all forms of sports as entertainment. Except shooting of course.

A good 3-gun match demonstrates an awful lot of skill and athleticism. It is one of the only sports where you see an 18 year old competing against people all the way up to 65 year old Jerry Miculeck in the same match.

Now only waiting for Goodyear tires to become the official sponsor of BLM-Antifa “necklacing” riots since we now know they wholeheartedly support those communist terrorist organizations.

Once a great company, their tires are now second tier garbage at best. Same with Firestone/Bridgestone. I hope Michelin isn’t infested with communist shitheads. Their Cross Climate SUV tires turn AWD and 4WD into snowmobiles.
What moron could think Rainbow flagging and BLM aren’t political? I can see Foxworthy “If you think Rainbow flags and BLM are non-political, you might be an Ivy League Democrat shithead.” Companies that tell half the country they hate them are also telling half their employees they hate them too. It is hard to imagine a guy busting his ass to turn out the finest product for a company that tells them to STFU and denigrates them.

I have Yokohama and they’ve been the best tires I’ve ever owned. Here’s a list of the top tier tire companies and what brands they control….

Michelin – France
Worlds number one tyre manufacturer. Own the brands Michelin, BF Goodrich, Kleber, Uniroyal* and Riken.

Bridgestone – Japan
One of the original big three. Own the brands Bridgestone, Firestone, Daytona and Europa.

Goodyear Dunlop – USA
Goodyear recently merged with Dunlop to form one of the largest tyre manufacturers in the world.
Own the brands Dunlop, Goodyear, Fulda, Falken and Kelly

So how come, because of the Constitution, a business cannot “discriminate” in hiring, etc. because of race, etc. But, they can discriminate because of speech, also from the Constitution, because “they are a private business,” etc. bs.

I have Hankook snow tires on an old all wheel drive. They absolutely tear it up in snow.
Anything they make Michelin Cross Climate SUV’s for needs them badly. They are #1 in every category and while not a dedicated snow tire, are snow tire rated as well. I am a fan.

I also use Hankook Tires. They came on the wife’s 2016 Honda Civic LX and we just replaced them earlier this year. We got a good 70k out of them. I put them on my 2017 Nissan Quest Van. The tires that were on the van only got about 20k before needing replacement and they were cheap tires sold by Firestone but made in China. However, I didn’t pay for those they came on the van when I bought it and I had a carfax showing when they were put on.

Goodyear tires are crap anyways.
FYI–purchase tires online and not through a Goodyear distributor.
Adivse purchasing Nokain tires (real good) made in Finland for tough weather/terrain up north.
Do it online and have tires shipped to you.
Find a local tire shop to have them installed.
