The following conversation (almost) occurred while I was hiking on the beautiful Trails around the Carl Sandburg homesite in Flat Rock, NC. I ran across a man walking alone in the woods with his Covid mask on……

Do you feel sick?
I don’t feel sick.
No fever, no cough or runny nose?
Not now.
But you think you are going to make someone sick when you are not sick.
Yes.
Have you ever been sick and not known you were sick?
Ahhh. I don’t think so. But this is different.
Why?
You must be living in a cave! This is reported every 15 minutes on the radio. Don’t you know that Covid can be spread from someone who has no symptoms?

Hmmmm. Do you know that as far back as we have good medical records there has never been a high mortality Pandemic disease that was spread to others from people that never had symptoms? Even mild forms of influenza, like the deadly Spanish Flu of 1918, causes you to get symptoms like Fever and Headache. Do have a headache or fever now?
No. But this is different. That’s why I could be sick with Covid and just not know it. Or…

I enjoy seeing these fucktards wearing their masks while driving alone in their vehicle. I am allergic to stupid, the mask makes it easy to identify the allergen from a distance >>6 feet.

I was taking a walk in the Tallac historical preserve in Lake Tahoe last week. The visitor count was nil in a large wooded area. By the closed visitor area was an old woman alone selling masks and wearing a mask AND face shield. I have nothing against people trying to make a buck, but she called us over to bummer us with the fact some time ago someone, one person, got the plague from squirrel fleas (while wearing as I said her mask and face shield outside with no one around). Unfortunately my girlfriend was with me or who knows, I might have something rude, i.e. “too much information”, or “thanks for ruining our stay”, or “take those masks and stuff/blow them out yer butt”, but no, that would be rude.

I’m a surgeon that has performed over 10,000 surgical procedures wearing a surgical mask. However, that fact alone doesn’t really qualify me as an expert on the matter. More importantly, I am a former editor of a medical journal. I know how to read the medical literature, distinguish good science from bad, and fact from fiction. Believe me, the medical literature is filled with bad fiction masquerading as medical science. It is very easy to be deceived by bad science.
Since the beginning of the pandemic I’ve read hundreds of studies on the science of medical masks. Based on extensive review and analysis, there is no question in my mind that healthy people should not be wearing surgical or cloth masks. Nor should we be recommending universal masking of all members of the population. That recommendation is not supported by the highest level of scientific evidence.
First, let’s be clear. The premise that surgeons wearing masks serves as evidence that “masks must work to prevent viral transmission” is a logical fallacy that I would classify as an argument of false equivalence, or comparing “apples to oranges.”
Although surgeons do wear masks to prevent their respiratory droplets from contaminating the surgical field and the exposed internal tissues of our surgical patients, that is about as far as the analogy extends. Obviously, surgeons cannot “socially distance” from their surgical patients (unless we use robotic surgical devices, in which case, I would definitely not wear a mask).
The CoVID-19 pandemic is about viral transmission. Surgical and cloth masks do nothing to prevent viral transmission. We should all realize by now that face masks have never been shown to prevent or protect against viral transmission. Which is exactly why they have never been recommended for use during the seasonal flu outbreak, epidemics, or previous pandemics.

Flash- What if there was a a diabolical plan to kill off millions of Americans with advanced technology and use Covid to pull it off? If they can use your smart meter to shut off your washer/dryer/air conditioner , could they use it to ramp up a frequency that would shut you down? Had he thought of saying “I could be COLONIZING Coronavirus but don’t yet have symptoms” then he may have had somewhere to go with the discussion. Even so you could argue that the masks, far from providing any protection, in fact place you at greater risk for a more severe round of infection through capturing and rebreathing virus that would otherwise be reduced in quantity with exhalation into the diluting atmosphere of the park. One could ask whether mask edicts are actually ensuring a pathway to more severe illness and whether this is actually the purpose of such edicts. We already know that they want to see us dead.

there is a married couple who teach at her school & fri. after school she was in the wife’s classroom when the husband came in to eat a late lunch–my wife could smell it thru her mask,something w/lots of strong spices–
she mentioned to me when she was tossing it in the washer that she could still the food on both sides of the mask–

I was windsurfing on the Columbia river. When I came ashore my girlfriend was talking to someone who was wearing a mask (she was not). He was standing downwind of her while there was a 20 knot wind.
There was no way for her to catch anything from him. He would surely be exposed to anything she would have even though he was wearing a mask.
