Victor Davis Hanson: Elections Now Meaningless Because of Big Interests

It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. I recently watched this post-election interview of VDH by retired Australian politician John Anderson. It’s an hour long, and I can’t say it’s worth an hour, but if you like VDH, you might like it. I’ve never been a huge fan because he seems like a Geo W Bush kind of guy. Also, I don’t really want to have to look up what the Peloponnesian War was. Somewhere in this interview, he ponders whether the populist, nationalist banner Trump carried could be picked up by Marco Rubio or Nikki Haley. Seriously. What the actual fuck? After all this time, he still thinks that neocon globalist scum like them are anything other than slightly less vile villains. I’m not sure I’ll ever vote again, but I damn sure won’t vote for either of those cunts.

If a party is allowed to print out enough fake ballots to make sure their candidate gets the most votes, is there any point to voting by regular citizens – hasn’t their vote already been nullified?

The talk is of “big interests,” but really we are talking about big power. When a government can steal $3Trillion a year in wealth and hand that out to their puppetmasters, we they can create another couple of trillion out of thin air to further sweeten the pot, when they can impose tariffs that can destroy some companies while profiting others, when they can impose regulations that can destroy some and protect others, when they can destroy entire businesses with bans, or prop up others with purchase mandates, when they can ruin individuals by simply taking away their DEA licenses to prescribe, and so, so, so, so, so, so, so much more, why wouldn’t as many people as possible want to control that government for their own benefit?

Unless there is a rejection of government power by the people, the problems will NEVER go away. So long as people continue to embrace government power as a way to impose THEIR will upon others, the problems will never go away. It isn’t going to end without that fundamental change….how could it?

Is there anything more valuable than the truth?

How the hell can something as simple as voting be made so damn complicated? This must change.
