I used a paint scraper to get most of it off. So there wasn’t much dust. The final layer I didn’t bother with because it was sticking pretty good. The old paint was nasty though..

I’ve always been able to find stuff at Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Ace Hardware. Not as good as they used to be before everyone needed to be “safe,” but some still do the job if you let them do the work instead of you. Just be careful if any of the paint is older than 1970 or so because of lead content. Although using a liquid stripper is actually safer than sanding, etc.
