What am I supposed to do if I want to talk about peace and understanding, but you only understand the language of the sword? What if I want to make you understand that the path you chose leads to downfall, but you only understand the language of the sword? What if I want to tell you to leave me and my beloved ones in peace, but you only understand the language of the sword?
I let the blade do the talking. So my tongue shall become iron, and my words the mighty roar of war. Revealing my divine anger’s arrow shall strike all action for the good of all.
I see my reflection in your eyes, but my new age has just begun. The sword is soft in the fire of the furnace. It hungers to be hit and wants to have a hundred sisters. In the coldest state of their existence they may dance the maddest.
In the morass of the red rain beloved brother enemy I sing my sword song for you …. the lullaby of obliteration so I can wake up with a smile, and bliss in my heart.

The text above the video are the lyrics (translated) of the song “Krigsgaldr” by the folk music group Heilung. Heilung is a folk music band made up of members from Denmark, Norway, and Germany. Their music is based on texts and runic inscriptions from Germanic peoples of the Bronze Age,Iron Age, and Viking Age. The band describes their music as “amplified history from early medieval northern Europe” The trio blends the cinematic clang of human bones, reconstructed swords and frame drums, and even Tibetan throat singing. The lyrics of the above song come from the Eggja rune stone found in Norway
Heilung means “healing” in German. This particular Germanic/Norse concept of “healing” is defined by disconnecting from the artificial barriers of modern life, be it religion or class or politics, and tapping into a more universal tribal spirit.
“We try to give a little spark of that emotion: to make people feel how it is to be surrounded by nature, to slaughter their own cattle, to build their own drum, to live from the Earth. Every attempt to connect it to modern stuff that makes us sad is not important.”
During their performances the transfixed audience often rises to a deafening roar, and the lead singer realizes with awe — “We were all standing there and it was like, ‘Look at us. My god, we’re a tribe!’”
More of their philosophy of life and music here; “Experimental folk-metal group talks musical, spiritual quest to conjure primal wildness of Viking age.”
“What is best in life? To crush your enemies — See them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.”
Conan the Barbarian.
As I am reading the post my mind is going WTH? How did he conceal such a poetic streak for so long?
Then I got to the end.
You’re getting very good at this, I must say.
You read my thoughts to a T. I figured someone had already hacked his computer.
Reminds me of our family reunions except we have bigger antlers and the sound of kicking empty beer cans off the stage is missing.
I’d have given you ALL of my saved, thumbs up, but alas I’m only allowed one.
Thought about joining the Asatru Folk Assembly?
Never heard of it.
Wiki says; —- “The Asatru Folk Assembly is a white supremacist international Ásatrú organization, …. Its racist doctrines are based on ethnicity, an approach it calls “folkish'”
Hmmmm. I think I like it!!
Then I went to the Asatru Folk Assembly web page —–> https://www.runestone.org/.
I’m really liking it now! Thanks for the suggestion. Page is bookmarked.
This is what they have to say. Yes, it’s long. But, this is my thread and I can do what I wanna do. Ha!
============================= =
Asatru is an expression of the native, pre-Christian spirituality of Europe. More specifically, it is the religion by which the Ethnic European Folk have traditionally related to the Divine and to the world around them.
From Iceland to Russia, from the frozen north of Scandinavia to the Mediterranean, the Ethnic European Folk wandered and settled over a span of thousands of years. Today, their descendants are spread around the world.
We may refer to ourselves as Americans or English, Germans or Canadians, but behind these labels lurks an older, more essential identity. Our forefathers were Angles and Saxons, Lombards and Heruli, Goths and Vikings – and, as sons and daughters of these peoples, we are united by ties of blood and culture undimmed by the centuries.
Asatru is our native religion. It gave our ancestors comfort in millennia past, and it can give us strength and inspiration today. The word “Asatru” comes to us from Old Norse, the tongue of ancient Scandinavia, where it means “those loyal to the Gods.”
Since the ancient Scandinavian version of our religion is the best documented, it has given us much of Asatru’s terminology and imagery. The soul of Asatru, however, is not confined to the Scandinavian model but encapsulates the belief of all the Ethnic European Folk. Indeed, Asatru reflects the deeper religiosity common to virtually all the nations of Europe.
As a part of the great Aryan religiosity, Asatru has a number of characteristic beliefs. Some of these are:
—The world is good. Prosperity is good. Life is good, and we should live it with joy and enthusiasm. We are free to shape our lives to the extent allowed by our skill, courage, and might. There is no predestination, no fatalism, no limitations imposed by the will of any external deity.
— We do not need salvation. All we need is the freedom to face our destiny with courage and honor.
— We are connected to all our ancestors. They are a part of us. We in turn will be a part of our descendants.
— We are also linked to all our living kin – to our families and to every man and woman rooted in the tribes of Europe. They are our “greater family.”
— We are connected to Nature and subject to its laws. The Holy Powers often express themselves in Nature’s beauty and might.
— We believe that morality does not depend on commandments, but rather arises from the dignity and honor of noble men and noble women.
— We do not fear the Holy Powers or consider ourselves their slaves. On the contrary, we share community and fellowship with the Divine. The Gods encourage us to grow and advance to higher levels.
— We honor the Gods under the names given to them by our Germanic/Norse ancestors.
— We practice Asatru by honoring the turning of the seasons… the ancestors… the Gods… and our Folk… in everyday life!

What’s there not to like??? Damn, this just might be one of The Greatest New Finds of all time. Not kidding, either.
I especially like the part about not needing salvation. Really.
The whole concept of a Daddy God needing to kill/murder his Son, also God, in order to please …. Himself …. is becoming increasingly bizarre and nonsensical to me. Yes, really.
Vote me down Christian Soldiers!!!
–>”The whole concept of a Daddy God needing to kill/murder his Son, also God, in order to please …. Himself …. ” is the product not of God — but of people (priests, rabbis, mullahs, etc.) wanting to have financial and other benefits for themselves …
God has nothing to do with ‘organized religion’ —
That pretty much says it all right there. You’ve read lots of scripture otherwise you wouldn’t post it, seemingly looking for a fight as opposed to understanding. I could quote scripture all day long both in warnings and encouragements to seeking for understanding, but it would be senseless.
As I suspect many Bible thumpers here have done so over the years.
Nutty as a fruitcake, regularly claims to hope for salvation when not too busy mocking God. See if you can find the article on his favorite devil worship book, he says a special prayer to satan then encourages all to join in. Hilarious shit.
Bwahahahahaha!! Thanks for the laugh, Mr. Fruitcake. lol
Here’s something you may have never heard. God is not the only god.
Our Terminology IS NOT Adequate to Describe the God of the Bible
I was watching part 3 of his 4 part Supernatural series last night , when all of a sudden Youtube sans any explanation deleted all 4. I have no idea why. There are more of his talks on Youtube , but damn I was interested in watching that one…. YTES !
LOL… really??? a species at that too…
Then the Creator, the one who wrote the most complex language that is still not fully understood after its discovery, DNA, is somehow incapable of communicating with the people he created?!?!?
He must also be a liar as He stated that there were no other Gods besides Him. The Creator who confused the languages at Babel, was he able to understand the different languages or did he have to learn them along the way?!?
I’m going out on a limb here and make the suggestion that the God who claimed to be the Creator of all you see living and not, is also a Master of Languages and is quite capable of not only clearly communicating just who he is but his intensions as well. He can not only communicate exceedingly well but also has the ability to preserve His written words.
DNA absolutely IS a good argument for the existence of God. Some kind of God … not necessarily the one you claim.
Regardless of who this DNA creator is ….
— Why is 99% of DNA non-coding …aka “junk DNA” … meaning, during the chopping, the non-coding stretches — the junk — are discarded, meaning they are never used to make proteins.
— It is true … that some of our genes have counterparts in bananas! Some people say as high as 50%, some as low as 1%. That’s irrelevant to me. Why did God decide I need to be part banana?? I don’t wanna be related to a banana!!
I wonder …. when God created this “complex language” did He, as many computer programmers do, have an “Oh, shit, what the hell did I just do?” moment?
There is no ‘junk’ DNA. That term was coined by evolutionists at a time when little was understood about DNA. Now we are finding that that ‘junk’ DNA definitely has purpose, not everything is build instruction, but also control. Its also discovered there are multiple layers of language in the DNA. Like being able to read the english version then rereading it in Portuguese version, two different languages and two different stories.
Well if you are a fruitcake why would you object to being part banana??? Why do Ford and GM both use round wheels?? Why do they use the same basic engine design??
The “no other God besides him” means he is the true God, the almighty, whereas other gods are nothing compared to him.
BTW, just to be clear, Michael Heiser has some great stuff but seems to miss some of the obvious things as well. Not tossing the baby with the bathwater here, but just saying he kinda misses the mark on this for a number of reasons.
He is a day ager and believes in evolution. So Genesis is a problem for him. Because of this position he thinks that man was once a brute. Yet has admitted before that ancients have very definitive descriptors for defining things like rain, for example. Still not sure why he can’t put this together, from supposedly brutes with rudimentary language, assumed, to examining ancient languages that are very deep and complex.
Or how ancients can be assumed to be not as learned and yet build pyramids and other structures with very high degrees of accuracy. Load bearing technology used is mind blowing, and yet they seemed to lack the language to describe God. Thats why his terminology of God being a unique species is lets say…. off the wall.
I watched several hours of his talks now and have ro presume you and I are watching a different Heiser. I’ve heard Heiser speak on Genesis quite a bit, and I’ve yet to see him have a problem sharing his understanding of it.
Heiser does say that modern minds are not only incapable of understating the mindset of ancient peoples , but of God as well. I agree 100% . Heiser is a breath of fresh air from the churchian pension whores posing as preachers of today. Words indeed do have meaning and Heiser proves this again and again.
Also , I’ve yet to hear Heiser say the ancients were brutes or stupid, but if they are anything like humans today , I say yes to both. BTW, are you looking for the alien angle of creation ? Hint. There is none.
Did YOU know THIS about PYRAMIDS and the Garden of EDEN?
His problem with Genesis stems from the word day, yom. He is a day ager meaning a thousand years is a day for God. He doesn’t believe its a literal 24hr cycle. The word and in its context means 24 hrs plus given the context to believe anything other than a 24hr period poses significant problems. Not only geologically but scripturally as well.
His belief in evolution unfortunately colors quite a bit of his theology as well, hence the more simpler and brutish ancient mankind. He has some great work to be sure and yes the ancient aliens rubbish pushed by the History channel etc is just that… rubbish. Again not only scripturally, archeology but biologically as well.
I also agree that it is refreshing to have someone like Hieser giving a more accurate picture of ancient life but he’s wrong about understanding it or God. It implies that God, in His omniscience, hasn’t the ability to communicate His words to those He created. Comes up short. If God is fallible there what else is He fallible in??? Piled Higher and Deepers make a lot of mistakes too… keep that in mind, trust but verify.
Its our job to be as Bereans. in all areas where someone is selling a bill of goods as it were. We as Christians are not to disengage the brain but to engage it and discover what we’d been given charge over.
Only three thumbs down?? Bunch of pussies.
Yes, they worshiped gods before they knew of the true God.
I think I’ll stick to Christianity.
Stucky this is badass.
Yes, it is.
I can now get Youtube on my big screen high-def TV … cranked up the sound all the way (good thing momma Stucky is very hard of hearing!). Man,oh man, I really loved the visuals and both the haunting and aggressive sounds. I felt sooooo …. Germanish and Teutonish!! Stucky The Old and Fat Ass Warrior. lol lol
And you made it possible.

Think this is her. Remove the whitespace.
She’s pretty …. even with some of the more bizarre (temporary) tats.
Teutonish! Love it. I had an license plate “Teutonic” on my VW Corrado in the 90’s….. Memories….Thanks.
YW.
Interestingly … my dad had an Austrian flag emblem (those oval thingies) on his 1975 VW Rabbit bumper, and a sticker “Ein stolzer Österreicher” (A Proud Austrian) for the 10 years he owned the car. If it got even a LITTLE dirty or spotty from the rain, he’d quickly wipe it clean.
My 1984 Rabbit GTI was my favorite car of all time. The original pocket-rocket. 5 speed standard, golf ball shifter. Oh how I miss that car!!
After years of owning German cars (a few VWs, BMWs, and a couple of Benzes) that ’75 Rabbit was the last German car dad bought.
It was generally a piece of shit. Started to rust after just two years. Poor workmanship … the window crank broke the first year. And the catalytic converter crapped out so often that my dad considered moving into Bay 1 at the dealership.
I’m sure VW figured it all out by 1984. They sure sold a lot of them. Maybe we just got a lemon. By then it was too late … dad only bought Toyota Camry’s from then on. The gas mileage was phenomenal though.
Funny. My first car was a 1979 VW Dasher Diesel wagon, 0-60 in 25 minutes, my Dad gave it to me. Glow plugs and all. What a piece of shit!! But but but it was a car!!
Ahhh. Obviously you were going DOWN HILL to get to 60 mph that quickly. lol !
Have a good night, Herr Teuton!
You too my friend!! Hope to see you on July 4. You know where.
According to my son, nobody wants to drive a stick shift anymore. I told him, “How absolutely pathetic.”
Didn’t these guys play the US Capitol on January 6th?
Tribe up or die. It’s really is that simple.
nation (n.)
c. 1300, nacioun, “a race of people, large group of people with common ancestry and language,” from Old French nacion “birth, rank; descendants, relatives; country, homeland” (12c.) and directly from Latin nationem (nominative natio) “birth, origin; breed, stock, kind, species; race of people, tribe,”
These days, an even greater concept is that of a ‘Sovereign’ Nation … one that can define and defend its borders — determining and enforcing who may enter, under what terms and conditions, etc.
All others can and must be kept out … for the benefit of the Tribe known as US …
I completely agree here. The tribes will form soon and they will be family based. By this logicthey will also be color/race based. I hope that being “proud to be white” returns fast because the whites need to join together or this anti-whiye sentiment will eradicate the entire race that is a tiny minority of the globe now. Being proud to be black, Asian, Spanish etc is perfectly normal. Somehow only being proud to be white is being a supremacist/nazi/fascist etc. I want to treat everyone with as much respect as they give me. I think that is a general feeling in people. And it’s getting harder and harder to respect people who rag on the white race constantly. I do not respect their opinions and I’m finding it harder than ever to respect them as people. I can’t be the only one.
You would think the Deep South would have a huge problem between the races now due to the race baiting and pushing of whitey bad.” But where I live, I haven’t seen any change at all.
Danheim, Omnia, Evior, Dzivia, Munknorr, Wardruna, are all bands you may like if you enjoy Heilung concerning Nordic music.
Juno Rector, Lisa Gerrard, Carpenter Brutt, Pertubator, Enigma, and Metallica, Disturbed, Queen, the usual rock bands, etc are notable mentions for other music.
I haven’t listened to any in so long, I’m using an old recycled headset without any audio equipment, just onboard sound, and I would rather my ears be fresh when I finally upgrade to a higher end stack. DAC/AMP, and some good endgame level headphones that learn toward bass heavy.
I effectively have virgin ears again.
Enjoy.
THANK YOU!!
I will definitely check it out …all of them.
The pagan-Christian contrast can be seen in the movie The Wicker Man. Them pagans sure know how to have fun in that movie, but their idea of b-b-q is, well, problematic.
Heilung and Warduna always give me a beastly desire to go raid coastal villages and pillage. Danheim gets the Viking zerg going too.
Alfadhirhaiti is probably my favorite by Heilung.
Sounds like a new drug. Plug in the random alphabet machine and there it is! How about this, 999, or maybe nein nein nein. Saw them in the mid eighties, pinned against the stage. The guy I went with to all those concerts is now dead, drank himself to death. Sad. I think AOC will love this!!
Oh, yes … that one is very goooood!
Here is a 1:39 clip …. “Forest Ambush”. It very much reminded me of the opening sequence in “Gladiator”. Except in this version it’s the Teutons who kick Roman ass!! Yeah!
