We could sure use some globull warming down here in TN this week.
I heard, like, 6F in San Antonio or something. Holy Moly! Obviously we’re using to occasional below zero temps here in Minneapolis, but we’ve had two weeks of sub-zero highs. I usually figure you can just layer up, but I was outside for a couple hours yesterday (helping one of my knucklehead kids with their vehicle) and it took about 5 hours indoors to get the chill out of my bones.
My son lives in OKC and they have been low single digits all day and projecting -6 tonight. They are expected to go 10 days below freezing temperature. In my 40 years in OK, I never recall more than 3 days in single digits and never below 0. Welcome to the new ice age.
I went out earlier to put another light in my greenhouse and shovel the walk and it was quite cold, but the shoveling warmed me up. When the snow stops, I will take the garbage can to the road which should warm me up again.
My son moved to Burnsville last Nov from the Okanagan. He texted… Its cold. Trying to come up with a response that doesn’t involve laughing raucously and portraying a smidgeon of sympathy. I’m completely blank…
You should have taken a nice hot bath, then wrapped yourself in a warm blanket, and then sat in front of either a fireplace or heater, along with a nice hot drink or soup. You would warm right up.
The real funny part is all the liberal comments that followed the posting… even got a few snort laughs from the shear stupidity of the comments. un smeg’n believable.
The incongruity is delicious.

I’ve worked on two wind farms, Flatridge phase 1 and phase 3 , the two main things it takes to build a wind farm is a lot of taxpayer money and a lot hydrocarbons.
I’d say that is photoshopped. Heli is WAY too small.
Saw footage of them using drones with external liquid tanks to de-ice one today. More troubling is that they had one ready to go to do that. At least that is not as wasteful as a helicopter.
So when’s the Keystone line restarted?
