Why Can’t The Sheep See?

Guest Post by Eric Peters

A reader brings up a subject worth examining at length regarding the willingness of people to perform the various rites of the Sickness Cult even in the absence of enforcement – as in the case of people who wear their Holy Rag everywhere they go, even within their own vehicle. He brought up the related cult – the Climate Change Cult – and asked why so many people eagerly embrace these faiths, even to their obvious detriment.

He writes:

Last week, Bill Gates appeared on 60 Minutes and talked about climate change, and said something like “every aspect of our lives will have to change” to combat global warming.  (Sort of like the “new normal” for WuFlu?) The next day people at my workplace were talking about how “smart” Gates is about so many things and how it’s so good that he wants to “help people” with his money. They also were looking forward to when they’d be “eligible” for the WuFlu shot.

So . . . a multibillionaire with the influence to do so wants to completely change your life to suit his ideals? And the government wants to inject you with a substance that changes you at the cellular level? This didn’t seem to raise any alarm whatsoever — in fact, they were cheering it on! This brought to mind your article about the “wolves and sheep.” Obviously these people are sheep — but do they even know they’re sheep, and why can’t they see that Gates, Fauci, and Biden are just playing them? And can they ever be “brought around” to be wolves? I don’t care what the likes of Bill Gates, Fauci, and Diaper Joe think — much less want them decide how I “should” live my life.  But why can I see this and all these other people can’t?  What makes “wrong thinkers” (the wolves) different in that we see though the BS?

The answer is as simple as it is frightening. These people do not want to see. They want to believe. Deeply, in the religious sense. In the sense of the religious fanatic; someone not content to just believe but who insists everyone else also believes – and behaves.

There can be no tolerance of heterodoxy in either faith – which faiths are really the same same faith. They are both Doomsday Cults that preach the imminence of the End Times (e.g., mass death and planetary death) unless the faithful abide and practice the tenets of the Faith. These tenets come down to – obey the priests of the Faith – such as Pope Fauci XVII – without question. They are the conduits of the Holy Will and only obedience will save you.

There is a masochistic, hair-shirting aspect to their fanaticism, too. A desire to suffer for the sins they believe they have committed. Which belief has been inculcated. It is a kind of Savonarola Syndrome extrapolated to and afflicting the general population rather than an individual religious fanatic. This is a natural elaboration of at least 50 years’ worth of general hectoring of the population about “the environment” and its imminent collapse – because of our “selfish” ways. The ways that have given ordinary people hot and cold running water, indoor toilets, lights in their homes and food in their refrigerators, the ability to easily travel almost anywhere; in sum a degree of affluence and comfort unknown to kings as recently as 150 years ago but now taken for granted by fools who believe these things just exist and will always exist.

These must all be sacrificed in the name of the Faith. To save the Earth. To prevent granny from dying.

Ever.

.

This masochistic tendency has a sadistic aspect to it – as is true of religious fanaticism generally. The urge to make others suffer. Specifically, to make it so that others cannot evade the suffering the ones urging it regard as necessary and devout. It is the same mindset that felt not only righteous but joyful when another human being was burned at the stake in Medieval Europe for refusing to “confess” and atone for their lack of faith in the one true Faith.

It is probably no accident or coincidence rather that these new religions – which are extremely fervent and ferocious faiths – have arisen as traditional religions have lost their salving effect on many people, having become go-through-the-motions faiths with little fervency and so do not give people the ethereal meaning and sense of connection they need. The Sickness Cult and the Climate Cult give these lost people something to hold onto that they feel is bigger than themselves, which gives their lives the meaning they feel is lacking.

And the direction.

This impulse is the same one Hitler used to fanaticize the Germans; the same one that urges on Marxists. All variants of the same sickness, the same faith.

Americans – who once touted their independence – are now characterized by dependence. Of mind and soul.

On Authority.

They not only like – they crave  – being directed; note the casual ubiquity of slogans about “leadership” . . . having been conditioned to it at school. Do what you’re told, without questioning what you are told. Being good means being the same.

Do not disagree.

Social pressure in what has become a hyper-socialized society (viz, the way kids are organized and practically never let alone, almost from the time the can toddle through adulthood) is used to enforce this conformity, this herd instinct. It is a weaponized strain of the childish/schoolyard pressure to wear the “right” clothes and like the “right” music – and so on.

It is how sheep are made from men.

Combine the social pressuring with a habit of mind – or rather a purposeful fracturing of mind; the writer Ayn Rand called it the anti-conceptual mentality. Such minds never developed the habit of mind that was once upon a time the goal of education in modern Western societies; i.e., to examine and question faiths and the do-as-we-say injunctions of Authority, because Authority.

This deliberate stunting of the human mind results in the creation of dangerously obedient people, including some very bright dangerous people, in the technical sense. They can add and subtract and even acquire very high-order skills, as engineers and doctors, even. And yet, they cannot reason in the way once subsumed under the general ideas of humanism and liberalism (in the old meaning of that term, before it was co-opted and corrupted into its opposite by Leftists) which are the antidotes to mindless fanaticism. A person of liberal mindset asks why – and insists on an answer that is more substantive than “because we say so” – or “because the good of the community requires it.”

That mindset led to the Reformation and the Renaissance and the flowering of humanism and the softening of the rigid hierarchies of the Middle and Dark ages. Also to hot and cold running water, indoor toilets and showers, food in the refrigerator and the ability of the average person to travel practically anywhere he wished, as opposed to spending a life within the confines of his village, keeping his head down and knowing his place, evincing the reflexive deference due his Lord and his Faith, forever amen.

That Faith – and the Lords who enforce it – are re-emerging from the darkness of the past and it is welcomed by people who have been prepared to accept it. For them, it is not merely a blessing; it is their salvation.

And those of us who do not share the faith – who question the “good news” – are as much their enemies as they are ours.

” …. someone not content to just believe but who insists everyone else also believes – and behaves.”

Ahhh, now I understand the need to post bible verses.

======

“Americans – who once touted their independence – are now characterized by dependence. Of mind and soul. On Authority. They not only like – they crave – being directed;”

A beautiful, simple, and accurate portrayal of the American mindset; — both Libtards, and sadly, non-Libtards.

One of EP’s best articles.

“Ahhh, now I understand the need to post bible verses.”

I promise you, you have no idea the motive. You don’t want to see it. I think you’re afraid of what lies behind them (it’s you, yourself). As one of few who do post them it is not because I “need” you to believe what I do. I “insist” upon nothing. I’m all set! I require absolutely nothing else than what God has already done for me. If I die a miserable death, so be it. I’m saved. It is more than enough. I post verses hoping in some way at some time the words will reach some person in some way as to cause them to ask WHY. Exactly as Eric says. Because the answers are there. Exactly the last thing you ever do.

The honest question naturally leads to further investigation. Further honest investigation leads to some very uncomfortable truths, which, if faced, lead to some profoundly beautiful realizations and a life of deep, rich understanding and ultimate joy. Even, dare I say especially, in the face of a world gone completely bonkers.

I personally don’t give a rats ass what you think of my or anyone’s posting of Bible verses. If they offend you so, ignore them. They are there for those who are earnestly asking “why” as they see reality as they thought they knew it, crumble around them. As it was written…

My Buzz Lightyear lesson is: it’s a gift, take it! Or not… up to you. The exact opposite of “obey or die”. I wonder if Mr. Peters has ever heard such a thing?

Ephesians 5:14 KJB… “Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”

GCP –

I “insist” upon nothing. I’m all set! I require absolutely nothing else than what God has already done for me.

We don’t agree on all things, nor are we expected to, iron sharpens iron and I would agree completely on your statement above. But where we both fail is that we do not even know our own motivations and obviously need to be told.

So I guess we best not quote any bible verses, because if triggers a few people. And as a reward some here will limit the volume of stoolspew all in the name of being the adult and self censoring.

Acts 5:28-30

28 saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man’s blood on us!”

29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.

“They are there for those who are earnestly asking “why” as they see reality as they thought they knew it, crumble around them.”

Yes, more and more people are asking “why” questions.

But, I do not think they are looking for someone to bombard then with Bible verses. You do. I guess we’ll always disagree on that,

Good luck with that.

I object to the Bible thumping because it grows tiresome. And you are not going to convince anyone here. People here already believe, or do not.

And also because my experience with Bible thumpers is that they are universally hypocrites. No exceptions. Not ever. Not once. You thumpers are all the same. And I do not give a rat’s ass if that offends you.

I guess you have no poor, disabled or elderly needing help in your part of the world. Because you could be spending your time helping them rather than thumping your Bible at us. But seeing as you aren’t, I can only assume there are none.

Riiiiight.

Tell that to those who have contacted me personally.

“And also because my experience with Bible thumpers is that they are universally hypocrites.”

I too am hypocritical at times though I do attempt to check myself. It’s not man that’s perfect, it’s Christ; and He’s forgiven me my imperfections. Yours too, if ya want. See, my experience with human beings is that we are all hypocritical. Even you! It’s not just us thumpers.

“I guess you have no poor, disabled or elderly needing help in your part of the world.”

You’re really stretching it now Llpoh… this is the best you got?

“The process which, if not checked, will abolish Man goes on apace among Communists and Democrats no less than among Fascists. The methods may (at first) differ in brutality. But many a mild-eyed scientist in pince-nez, many a popular dramatist, many an amateur philosopher in our midst, means in the long run just the same as the Nazi rulers of Germany. Traditional values are to be ‘debunked’ and mankind to be cut out into some fresh shape at the will (which must, by hypothesis, be an arbitrary will) of some few lucky people in one lucky generation which has learned how to do it. The belief that we can invent ‘ideologies’ at pleasure, and the consequent treatment of mankind as mere ulh, specimens, preparations, begins to affect our very language. Once we killed bad men: now we liquidate unsocial elements. Virtue has become integration and diligence dynamism, and boys likely to be worthy of a commission are ‘potential officer material’. Most wonderful of all, the virtues of thrift and temperance, and even of ordinary intelligence, are sales-resistance.”

But what makes a sheep or a wolf? Why do some look at everything one way and others another? I can see the difference but can’t understand why some and not others. Is it upbringing, DNA, intellect?

“Why do some look at everything one way and others another?”

A five year old does not look at things one way or another, Tell him or her there’s a Santa Claus, and they believe it. By the time they’re 15, they don’t. Why? They/we have accumulated knowledge and a way of thinking — of processing that knowledge.

By the time we are adults our “ways of thinking” are pretty much set in concrete. New knowledge is mostly absorbed or discarded based on what we already believe. Hardly anyone escapes this “prison” of the mind.

This is why I say …. once a Libtard, always a Libtard.

On the subject of bible verses, it’s a dead end because you can find quotes for almost everything and really who gives a shit. I just ignore them, because their quotes never matter. From here on out, I’m going to randomly quote Savitri Devi or something. Or Deep Thoughts, by Jack Handey

Falcon, Primarily born in, not taught, Nature, not nurture. Not exclusively, but substantially more than half. One of the really unfortunate aspects of this cancel culture dark age we are entering is that the really interesting even revolutionary research on human behavior and the genetic roots thereof cannot be reported, discussed, or debated. In short, be you meek or courageous, sweet or irritating, leading to left or right, most of that is made at conception. It can be ruined or damaged, but not too much effectively changed for the better.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. Teach not your children and they will learn behaviors from some source (s) and live according to the feedback resulting from their behaviors. A small percentage (Don’t know the percentage) whom have genetic proclivities (Mental illness) and are less resistant to aberrant behaviors. Positive socialization made not be able to overcome those proclivities. People are not born basically good.

The sheep can’t see because all they can see are sheep’s asses in front of them. So, they bleat. And they wait for the traffic to move.

Like driving in the city during rush hour.

I get it, there are just so many sheep’s asses out there, and yeah, if people would just shave their asses we might all can see again. That’s about the best sentence I’ve ever written, I think.

We really try to push the limits of not wearing masks. But when we are forced to, it’s a lot of fun to wear a raggedy, cheap, old surgical mask upside down and backwards with your nose hanging out. It makes the mask bulge out away from your face on both sides. One woman told me that the mask doesn’t work if you wear it that way. I said, “No kidding? Your mask doesn’t work either.”

I went to Lowes Home Improvement today in ‘the city’ or at least what we have for a city….was the only one inside unmasked…had a brief stare down with an employee…he was working in the aisle I came to visit.

It was just me and him…he said nothing…but he wanted to.

Then as I was in line…at the garden center…the same employee and another male employee were looking at me from a distance. I think if I would have stayed longer they would have called a manager.

The clown in front of me in line (no one was behind me) was a white guy, beard, early to mid-20’s at most, and he had one of those bright colored elaborate African masks on. Phtttttttttt….

He did a double take seeing me in line behind him with no mask…smirking at him. I made sure to grab onto his eyes with mine…and stand defiant…you know the stance…cocky…loose…body language that says… “Whata you looking at?” He never looked back.

Now, I dress for success when I go shopping unmasked. Had my black cap on that says: COME AND TAKE IT. Boots, Camo pants, black thin stretchy long sleeved top, rolled up at the sleeves (it was a warm day) but it barely covered the pistol on my hip…if you ‘slide’ the gun to your hip from your back at key moments of eye contact…it becomes obvious it’s a barely concealed gun.

The slide is a sheep tactic…a dance…a head game I play when the timing is right…when I go the City.

In town its always open carry.

“Understanding the Nine Veils of Illusion” by A. True Ott has explained to me that it isn’t because the sheep don’t want to see it’s because they simply CANNOT see……it just isn’t possible for them to see what we can see and no amount of pointing to the obvious makes them able to see what looms in front of them……I have since saved myself a lot of energy by not expending it on these people and save it for the ones who understand what I see.

Good article. I wish authors would study Pre-WWII Germany though, before stating fallacy’s to get a point across. Hitler did more for the German people to lead them to a prosperous life than any president of the US has accomplished for its citizens. A little journalistic study will reveal this. Otherwise, some very tangible points about the sheepishness of the American people.
