Is a Cold War II with China Inevitable?

Beijing is not apologetically but proudly Communist. It believes its system has been proven superior in this century. It does not believe in an equality of ideologies, religions or peoples. It openly rejects American democracy as a failed and failing system…

Today, the four premier leaders of The Quad — the U.S., Australia, India and Japan — conduct their first summit, by teleconference.

The Quad, or Quadrilateral Security Dialogue, is an informal strategy forum of the major Indo-Pacific democracies that some wish to see evolve into an Asian NATO to contain China, as NATO contained the Soviet Union for 40 years of Cold War.

Next week, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and national security adviser Jake Sullivan meet their Chinese counterparts midway between Beijing and Washington — in Anchorage, Alaska.

The Chinese are said to have sought out the two-day meeting since before the inauguration of Biden.

And understandably so. For while the Chinese are hoping for a reset of relations after a troubled last year with the Trump administration, leaders of both U.S. parties — to compensate for decades of congressional indulgence of Beijing —suddenly seem to be on their muscle.

Consider. During the transition, the Biden foreign policy team gave a war guarantee to Manila to fight alongside the Philippines in any clash with the Chinese over disputed rocks and reefs in the South China Sea.

Tokyo was informed that its mutual security treaty with the United States that dates to the 1950s covers the uninhabited Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea. But Beijing also claims these islands as her own.

On the eve of his taking office, Blinken said he agreed with Mike Pompeo’s view that China’s brutal repression of the Uighurs in Xinjiang constitutes “genocide” and crimes against humanity. That latter charge is what the Nazis were hanged for at Nuremberg.

How can the United States send athletes to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, if the Chinese are still crushing Hong Kong and committing crimes against humanity in western China that compare to the worst Nazi crimes of World War II?

Testifying before Congress this week, four-star Admiral Phil Davidson, retiring commander of the Indo-Pacific, called for new defensive missiles to protect Guam against Chinese DF-21 and DF-26 missiles. China calls these missiles “Guam killers.”

The admiral also called for the U.S. to develop intermediate-range missiles that can be fired from Guam and allied territory closer to China. Describing the need for offensive missiles to hit Chinese targets, Davidson said, “If I can’t score some runs, I can’t win the game.”

Addressing Taiwan, Davidson said:

“Over the past year, Beijing has pursued a coordinated campaign of diplomatic, information, economic, and — increasingly — military tools to isolate Taipei from the international community and if necessary compel unification with the (Peoples Republic of China.)”

Chinese warplanes have lately flown in formation toward the island of 25 million, which Beijing claims as its national territory — a claim President Nixon seemed to concede in the Shanghai Communique after his Peking summit of 1972.

“Our commitment to Taiwan is rock-solid,” was how the Biden State Department answered China’s aggressive moves.

If we don’t establish rules of the road for U.S. and Chinese ships and planes in the East and South China Sea and Taiwan strait, how do we indefinitely avoid the kind of collision that could turn into a shooting war?

In this widening and deepening confrontation, China is not backing down. She makes no apologies for the crackdown in Hong Kong or the concentration camps of the Uighurs. She continues to stonewall about how the coronavirus escaped from Wuhan to kill 500,000 Americans and many times that number worldwide.

Meanwhile, Chinese bombers, fighters, warships and patrol boats approach closer and closer to planes, vessels and territory of America and her friends and allies. Nor has China surrendered a rock or reef or shoal in the South or East China Sea.

Last week, Blinken called China the “biggest geopolitical test of the 21st century,” the only country able “to seriously challenge the stable and open international system.”

And in America, whatever your political party, “standing up to China” seems to be a winning posture. But where is all this going? Where does all this end?

Beijing is not apologetically but proudly Communist. It believes its system has been proven superior in this century. It does not believe in an equality of ideologies, religions or peoples. It openly rejects American democracy as a failed and failing system, and rejects any suggestion of American primacy in creating a “rules-based international order.”

And if it continues to grow in real and relative terms for the next two decades as it did in the last two decades — given that China has four times the population of the United States — it could emerge not only as the dominant power in Asia and the Indo-Pacific but in the world.

And what can we do to assure that does not happen — short of a war that could be disaster to us both, as World War II was for the British as well as the Germans.

How do we decouple from a country that provides necessities of national life — such as pharmaceuticals — for our people?

Or maybe they’ll just serially shut down the power grid throughout the US – using the tools they amassed through cyber intrusions – and pay American politicians to blame it on Russia.

So I guess you’re right. China attacks us and we retaliate against Russia. Where have we seen that before? Russia’s Satan II missile would dissuade sane American rulers – if we had those.

The Chinese send us plastic junk for Wallyworld and we send them tons of grain and food. We could just cut them off. We must have a nuclear sub within a thousand miles of China. We don’t need to spend billions on defending Guam. Fuk the Chicoms!

This is the same lame question thrown out there in article after article. It must be the go to article question when writers block sets in.

The answer to this profound question is… quit buying their shyt… Bring back the manufacturing ability home and produce onshore products soup to nuts. Buy ONLY products made onshore and let the manufactures of these products KNOW you will support them buy voting with your dollars.

Oh… but I really really want the newest appleI 52 super shiny smart phone… then you are part of the problem.

Given the illustrious elites who think they are running things, is there any way to avoid it?

Cold War II? Stop dreaming, Pat.
In the wake of the utterly surreal, pitiful Biden stream-of-consciousness flow of twaddle last night, let me tell you a little secret. Actually, I have known this for quite some time but did not mention it because it was still classified. An old friend took me into his confidence. Now it has been published.
There will be no “Cold War” with China. There will be a very hot war and we will lose. That, my friends, is the official U.S. military assessment of the results of a prospective war with China. If it lasts 30 days we might – might! – hold our own. After that, we are toast. We will not be able to project enough power to defeat China in even a limited conflict and we can’t go nuclear, thanks to Bill Clinton authorizing the sale to China of ICBM guidance technology. At the very least the U.S. population west of the Mississippi would get a rather severe suntan.
The China are dead serious about their major goals in Asia. Seize the South China Sea, take Taiwan, humble Japan, and expel the U.S. from the western Pacific and Asia in general. Pesky little shit hole countries like Vietnam and others in the region will be forced to bend the knee. The Chinese have a limited window of opportunity to accomplish this set of objectives and they know it.
You can bet that the Chinese leaders were watching the Biden “speech” in grim silence. They have taken the measure of the man and the buffoons who surround him. Leaving aside the obvious fact that Biden is in severe mental and physical decline, his incredible comments about maternity flight suits and pony tails in the military must have removed all doubt that the time to strike is very soon. The sight of “General” Lloyd Austin as Secretary of Defense could only have added impetus to this thought. Austin is an ignorant gorilla, a yes-man, and a pure affirmative action case. He would not have made it past corporal in a real army. [Note: Austin was priceless in Congressional hearings when he was asked how many “moderate Islamists” he had managed to train, arm and equip for $500 million dollars. His Response was, “A small number”. How small? “Seven”. Actually, there were more trainees but after they received weapons and bribes from Uncle Sugar, they promptly ran off to join ISIS.]
The American idiots who voted for Biden betrayed their country, full stop. No excuses, no explanations, no “Orange Man Bad” crap. These silly fools have placed our national existence in mortal danger because they thought Trump was rude. Oh, they will see rude soon enough. When China drop kicks us out of Asia, all of the air will instantly go out of the so-called “American Empire”. Full spectrum dominance, indeed. The meatheads in the Pentagon and elsewhere who dreamed up this sicko idea of a “Unipolar World” are going to be buggered until their eyes pop out, along with the rest of us.
The U.S. dollar will lose its reserve status and then we will really be going over Niagara Falls without a barrel. For those of you who believe, like me, that only a civil war can prevent the disappearance of the United States as a sovereign, independent, more-or-less united political entity, we will surely have the chance to put our theory to the test.
I give as an example of the shameful giveaways voted by Congress as “Covid relief”. More than half of our population is slobbering like mangy, starving dogs for this “free money”. it is a nauseating spectacle and proof positive of the complete degeneracy of the American people. I could add comment son the horde of foreigners who have invaded our country, the sinister campaign of the left to destroy our history, laws, traditions and even common sense, but what is the point? You all know we are trapped in a world rapidly losing all resemblance to reality.
I will close with an example of how bad things really are, one that turns my bowels to water. In each branch of the armed services there is a senior enlisted man. In the army this person is known as the Sergeant Major of the Army (SMA). It is a powerful position, as he sits at the right hand of the army chief of staff. The real job of the SMA is to ensure that the enlisted ranks receive “The Word” and toe the line established by the military and civilian leadership of the country.
The current occupant is one Michael Grinston, a native of Jasper, Alabama. HIs photo shows a tough-looking man with row upon row of campaign medals and personal decorations. But Grinston is not what he seems.
Grinston is a perfect example of the rot that has eaten into the very core of the army and the other services, my beloved USMC not excepted. Grinston has just declared that women in combat roles are absolutely essential for our war-fighting capability. Indeed, these ladies will “dominate” future battlefields! He is outraged that Tucker Carlson cast doubt on this proposition.
By any reasonable standard Grinston is a traitor to his country and to the U.S. Army. My father, who fought at Anzio and took German steel in his leg there, would smash in his face with the buttstock of an M1 rifle, if he were still alive.
No, Grinston is not a fool. You do not get into a senior position like that if you are a moron. He is much worse than that. He lies and he knows he lies. He is doing the bidding of the Obama generals above him and the useless Secretary of Defense.
Grinston knows perfectly well that women do not belong anywhere near combat units. They can and should play useful roles in many support positions but combat units are different. Grinston knows this as well.
When I was in the service I spent some time in what is called a Headquarters and Support Battalion. This is a dog-and-cat unit composed of various support personnel. Important work, to be sure, but these are NOT combat units. Needless to say, they have an abundance of women. It is mostly inside work with no heavy lifting.
Even in this relaxed, semi-military atmosphere, the women were able to sow chaos. The Marines used to make a special effort to recruit attractive young girls and, believe me, that is about all there was in this H&S Battalion. And did they know it!
Women are women. They will always use their charms to get their way, when they are not lesbians or worn out alcoholics (as one female Lt. Colonel was, bless her soul – she was the best of the lot).
Combat units have one mission: To close with and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver, period. They do not need distractions, especially 18 year-old cuties. And don’t disgust me with sermons about discipline and that these girls are your “sisters”. Unless you come from a place where bedding your sister is accepted, that is bullshit.
We are in for it, my friends. That is the plain, hard truth, Prepare accordingly!

In my experience, even ugly AND /or lesbian WM’s start looking and acting like hotties when they are forward deployed for weeks and months, or at sea, and have zero competition. It’s a female thing, or at least it applies to female Marines.

We are going to be totally defeated in the Pacific so rapidly that we won’t have time for a Draft and a true mobilization. What we could “mobilize” anyway without a functioning scalable industrial manufacturing capability is also an open question.

I am not saying a Draft is going to help us at all, but…

IF having women in our combat arms is so essential, then WHEN are we going to require ALL American females to register with Selective Service when they turn 18? Seriously.

If our beta-male, feminized military and political leaders truly believe in the bullshit they advocate, let THEIR daughters answer the call. Surely the Chinese men who capture them will treat them as “honorable sisters at arms” instead of the traditonal “vae victus”.

We are already at war with China, have been for years. Most people just don’t pay attention enough to realize that fact. It’s not a “shooting war”….yet, but it’s a very real war with espionage, sabotage, economic warfare and the suborning and coopting of politicians. Ad the CCP intends to win this war, defeat us, exterminate us and take out country as a place for their progeny to expand. They are DEAD SERIOUS about this. If we don’t wake up and fight back we are DEAD.

You are spot on. China is currently planning to invade our country with its 20 million man all male army. They are to be the jailers of the North American continent at the behest of the coming one world communist government. They are at the begining stage of staging and deployment in rural Canada. The plan is to blow the power grid (that Biden just gave them access to) and invade without Americans ever realizing what is going on until they are here. This is why President Xi keeps calling for the US government to disarm its citizens. This is deadly serious and a very real threat to each and every American. When these gookers do invade be prepared to fight to the death or be exterminated.
