Now New York Schools are telling students not to mention their “mother” or “father” because that is offensive to someone who does not have a family. So what is next? It is starting to stir the pot that wedding rings are offensive and symbolize a modern form of slavery? The status symbolism of a wedding ring is simply a universally understood statement that a metal band on the left ring finger makes: Yoy belong to someone, and they belong to you.
The whole idea of family values seems to be destined to be offensive to someone, somewhere, at some time. That appears to be the criteria that the entire society must change as to not offend the tiny fraction of people who find it to be modern slavery. Typically, this indicates someone who perhaps has never been able to connect with another person so marriage has never been proposed.
So, if children call their mother “mother” and this is now offensive, then are we at the very place of Russian Communism? Children were taught that the STATE was their parents and if your biological parents spoke against the government, the children should report them to the police. Just how far down the Rabbit Hole are we going? I am offended by big government and Marxism. Can we ban that now too? Please!

The name of that school is GRACE CHURCH SCHOOL. I’m guessing it has some Christian affiliation.
Their guide says to replace “Merry Christmas” with — “have a great break!” Not kidding.
Instead of “mother” or “father” say —- “folks”.

I remember thinking that 50 years ago, and still do.
If you read “Brave New World”, you knew this was coming. Animals are not this dumb, and they are called “dumb animals”. Jeebus, why can’t the owners just leave us alone?
I find all these ‘offended’ people are merely jealous. So rather than just focus on themselves and find their own happiness, they must turn outward and try and bring everyone else down to their miserable level.
Then they have to claim they belong to some ‘group’. And that everyone is making them feel bad.
Listen, no one, and I mean no one, can make you feel anything. This is a fantasy.
The truth is, if you feel bad, or sad, or mad, or whatever the fuck you feel, you need to sit with your feelings and figure out what the hell is going on. Because the deficiency is usually you. You are insecure with your body, or your face, or your hair, or your lack of something. I am very sorry your dad was gone, or your mom was a day drinker and never there for you, or she was a narcissist. It’s really rough that you may have been abused, or neglected. These things all suck, and suck hard.
Own it, and then work to change. And then remember it’s progress not perfection. And then realize no one is perfect. There comes a time in every person’s life that you realize that being a victim is a shitty way to go through life, you’re not helping yourself, and knock it the fuck off. Get therapy. Read some self-help books. Volunteer to give service to those less fortunate than yourself. Get a pet. Call your grandma. Pick up trash in the neighborhood. Find a hobby. And for heaven’s sake, STAY THE FUCK OFF SOCIAL MEDIA. Social media is mostly a cancer that will destroy your soul and isolate you even more than you already are.
And then the days get better. You wake up a little happier each day. Sometimes you’re still sad. Sometimes you remember the suck and it brings you down.
Then the day comes where you are driving in your car, or walking around, and you’re just free. Free of being a victim. And it is glorious.
My dad had to run from the Law; my mom was a very stupid mean crazy nut case who cops got locked up in insane hospitals countless times; I left home and it all became history. The painful scars remain but what idiot wants to continue wearing those chains; break free, run far away and begin a good life.
What I would like to know is when the people saying these things are going to begin to get the broken noses they deserve?
I wouldn’t pay any attention to the captains of ‘wokesterism.’ Ignore them. Don’t send your kids to public school and don’t worry about the ol college fund because we no longer have a valid and vibrant higher education system. All you would be doing is paying for their indoctrination into the new American Khmer Rouge.
