AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – A Colorado woman with stage 5 renal failure was months away from getting a new kidney. Now, she and her donor are looking for another hospital after learning UCHealth’s new policy.
According to UCHealth, the majority of transplant recipients and living donors are now required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Neither woman has received their shots.
Leilani Lutali met her donor, Jaimee Fougner, in Bible study just 10 months ago.
“It’s your choice on what treatment you have. In Leilani’s case, the choice has been taken from her. Her life has now been held hostage because of this mandate,” said Fougner.
Fougner says she hasn’t received the vaccine for religious reasons. Lutali hasn’t gotten the shot because she says there are too many unknowns. Until last week, neither woman thought they needed to be vaccinated for the transplant.
“At the end of August, they confirmed that there was no COVID shot needed at that time,” said Lutali. “Fast forward to Sept. 28. That’s when I found out. Jamie learned they have this policy around the COVID shot for both for the donor and the recipient.
UCHealth says they are “non-compliant by not receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.” The hospital has given them 30 days to begin the vaccine series. If they refuse, they will be removed from the kidney transplant list.
“I said I’ll sign a medical waiver. I have to sign a waiver anyway for the transplant itself, releasing them from anything that could possibly go wrong,” said Lutali. “It’s surgery, it’s invasive. I sign a waiver for my life. I’m not sure why I can’t sign a waiver for the COVID shot.”
UCHealth recently implemented the policy to protect the health of its patients.
In a statement, UCHealth said:
“For transplant patients who contract COVID-19, the mortality rate ranges from about 20% to more than 30%. This shows the extreme risk that COVID-19 poses to transplant recipients after their surgeries”
UCHealth and transplant centers across the nation have requirements in place to protect surgical patients. For example, patients can be required to receive other vaccinations like hepatitis B and MMR, and even make lifestyle changes. UCHealth says these requirements increase the likelihood that a transplant will be successful and the patient will avoid rejection.
“Here I am, willing to be a direct donor to her. It does not affect any other patient on the transplant list,” said Fougner. “How can I sit here and allow them to murder my friend when I’ve got a perfectly good kidney and can save her life?”
The women haven’t been able to find a hospital in Colorado that will do the transplant while they’re unvaccinated. They’re now looking at other states.

I listened to a man’s testimony at the S.C State House about his father who died of Covid. He begged his doctors to give his Dad the ” Alternative Therapies” he had heard about. They refused. He said they allowed his father to die. I’d bet without remorse.
I know the good book says vengeance is mine but sometimes it may need help to prevent more damage from cruel puppets .
I can see the rise of vigilante justice, since the State can no longer be relied upon for that basic function.
I hope it never comes to where I am put in this position. However, I feel as you do, let nature take it’s course.
Pretty sure that if they keep that up they will run across the wrong family, and learn that they aren’t the only people who can act without remorse.

Medical ethics is dead. Probably because the Jews demanded ethics boards so they could control what is ethical.
The “medical industrial complex” must fall. Physicians of good will must come together with others who have the means to build new practices, new hospitals, void of such utter (likely insurance driven) sickness.

Free people do not require “license” from anyone to build such a system. Screw the state, they cannot arrest us all. These systems need to be built outside of the “state”; the “state” needs to be ignored; pushed back if/when necessary.

Really? Have you ever seen where and how most of the Drs live? If the average pinhead has security systems, what do you think physicians have ? With videos and recordings the cops will be on your ass in minutes. This isn’t the 1950s anymore or something from the mafia. Your “talking things out” will end badly.

At first I was disturbed by the fact that so many medical professionals had taken the injections and that many would likely succumb to the side effects of the toxic goo they allowed to be injected into them.

Having survived renal failure with a transplant 8 plus years ago due to PKD a genetic renal issue affecting approximately 1 out of every 100 people I cannot believe that political LIES and DEADLY vaccines must get the opportunity to kill before a life saving transplant can be done !

I’m actually looking at it right now. It reports 2,201,851 adverse reactions of all sorts and types. If this was “normal” life, this shot would have been stopped long ago or perhaps never begun. But the times they are far from normal ain’t they…

I believe some study said, at least with Vaers here in the US, the reporting of adverse reactions/ deaths was at best one in ten. Apply that here and the actual number is most likely 22 million plus. I have no idea how many of the worlds 7 billion people have actually been vaccinated but let’s just say 50 % and that’s likely generous. That makes the chance of an adverse event from the vaccine about 0.6% or about 6 in 1000 people vaccinated. The chance of dying from the coof is about 0.2% or 2 in 1000. I may have been born at night but it wasn’t last night. I’m staying away from this vaccine.
