If Durham cuts down a tree in the forest and no one hears it, does it make a sound? (Part 2)

Guest Post by Pat Smith

It’s finally happened.  The Durham investigation, moving with the blitzkrieg speed of a two toed sloth has finally brought down the Democrat Party with this most recent indictment.

In Part 1 we discussed the background of the Durham investigation and teased the importance of the Durham’s indictment of Michael Sussman.  Is this the indictment that blows the whole Russia Collusion hoax wide open and exposes the swamp or a nothing burger as described by the court media represented by CNN, NBC, et al?  It’s actually both.  It shines tiny light on the swamp, yet in the end will turn out to be a nothing burger.

A nothing burger because we took our shot at the swamp 5 years ago and ultimately missed.  Swamp wins, you lose, so everything going forward will amount to nothing.  Depressing but true, but the indictment does show a little of how the swamp operated at the time, undoubtedly operates to this day and will continue to do operate until the colossal steaming pile of bureaucracy finally runs out of money and implodes on itself.

The light gets shined in the third paragraph when we learn the FBI launched yet another investigation into the Trump campaign under the specious cause that somehow there was a backchannel between the campaign and the Kremlin facilitated through the Russian bank, Alpha Bank, called out in the indictment as Alpha Bank 1.  The FBI launched this investigation as a result of a meeting between Sussman and the FBI General Counsel, James Baker.  From the indictment:

The FBI had, in fact, initiated an investigation of these allegations in response to a meeting that MICHAEL A. SUSSMANN, the defendant herein-a lawyer at a major international law firm (“Law Firm-I”) -requested and held with the FBI General Counsel on or about September 19, 2016 at FBI Headquarters in the District of Columbia. SUSSMANN provided to the FBI General Counsel three “white papers” along with data files allegedly containing evidence supporting the existence of this purported secret communications channel.

  1. During the meeting, SUSSMANN lied about the capacity m which he was providing the allegations to the FBI. Specifically, SUSSMANN stated falsely that he was not doing his work on the aforementioned allegations “for any client,” which led the FBI General Counsel to understand that SUSSMANN was acting as a good citizen merely passing along information, not as a paid advocate or political operative. In fact, and as alleged in further detail below, this statement was intentionally false and misleading because, in assembling and conveying these allegations, SUSSMANN acted on behalf of specific clients, namely, (i) a U.S. technology industry executive (“Tech Executive-I”) at a U.S. Internet company (“Internet Company-I”), and (ii) the Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign (the “Clinton Campaign”).

Are we supposed to believe that an attorney at Perkins Coie, the same firm that has represented the Democrat Party since Andrew Jackson’s Administration walks into the FBI with salacious information on Donald Trump and the FBI General Counsel thinks this is just a good citizen doing his civic duty?  Well, that’s what they want you to think.  This part of the indictment bears repeating:

“FBI General Counsel to understand that SUSSMANN was acting as a good citizen merely passing along information, not as a paid advocate or political operative”

How stupid do they think we are?  Pretty stupid it turns out.  You know who isn’t stupid?  Former FBI General Counsel, James Baker, that’s who.  Corrupt?  Duplicitous? An arrogant swamp dwelling hack willing to do anything to protect the deep state?  Of course, but not stupid.  Try to imagine the conversation.  “Gee Mark, this is really helpful.  My word but aren’t you a concerned citizen who has no ties to any political campaign or any interest in the current election.”  You should get a medal for this.  Maybe I can talk General Milley into parting with one of the 500 or so that bedazzles his chest.

And what other private concerned citizen can pick up the phone and arrange a meeting with FBI General Counsel?   Shut up you rubes, you’re too stupid to understand FBI business so stay out of it

It’s also important to keep in mind the timing of all this.  This meeting occurred in September 2016 or 3 months after Crossfire Hurricane, the bogus FBI investigation into the Trump campaign was opened.  Jim Baker was intimitely involved in this investigation having advised his former boss, James Baker on the legality, or in this case illegality of opening an investigation into a rival political party’s presidential campaign.  Baker continued to be involved through the election and the phony takedown of Mike Flynn during the transition after the election.  He was part of the Fab Five alongside Comey, Peter Strozk, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr.  The “Trump can’t win, we won’t let that happen” Fab Five.

The question isn’t whether Sussman is guilty or not.  (He is.) The question is how could he get an audience with the General Counsel and then how could he not be ushered out the door like a lunatic?  He then delivers fanciful “information” about a Trump-Kremlin backchannel engineered by a Russian bank.  Sussman then reiterates that he is there as a concerned citizen and not a partner of the law firm whose two biggest clients are the DNC and the Clinton campaign.  James Baker knows all this.  He knows Sussman is lying but instead of throwing him out or arresting him on the spot, he accepts the “white papers” without hesitation.  (Take note readers, when presenting false information to FBI hacks make sure it is in the form of “White Papers.”  Scribbled notes on the back of cocktail napkins just won’t fly.)  This just shows how corrupt the FBI is and how it is completely in the tank of the deep state.  Clinton’s lawyer walks into the office of the FBI General Counsel, commits a crime right in front of him, and walks out with the full confidence that the garbage information he just handed over will result in the opening of yet another investigation tarnishing the reputation of his client’s opponent.  He was so confident he billed his client, the Clinton Campaign for his time at the meeting.  Being a concerned citizen is highly noble, but not at the expense of billable hours.

The outcome is all too predictable.  Sussman will plead out to some lesser crime and be sentenced to 40 or so hours of ZOOM community service.   Baker landed at the Brookings Institute and is untouchable as are the rest of the Fab Five, or Six if you count Andrew McCabe.  Uncle Sleepy gets to remain president and The Wicked Witch of Chappaqua flies off on her broom to Belfast where she is named Madam Chancellor of Queen’s University.  To paraphrase John Adams on his death bed, “The swamp survives.”

Hillary was correct. What difference does it make? None, it never did. The Donald is a reality TV star, do you still need more of an explaination than that? If you still require more proof 2 items. Eisenhower’s fair well speech. JFK when you REALLY threaten the deep state.

Seriously? I can see the Item Description now:

Fake report planted with FBI – 2 hours.

I did read the article by Paul Sperry at Real Clear Investigations. It does appear they have the goods on some people who probably don’t want to be the fall guy. Perhaps they can be persuaded to implicate the real culprits.

I skimmed the article after I posted the above comment. Sperry’s article is much better and more complete. It has names this article doesn’t.

I’m skeptical that this will lead anywhere. However I do find it interesting that many of the ‘players’ have been silent.
Comey/Clapper/Strozk. So maybe just maybe there is something to this investigation.

If Durrrr-ham cuts down a tree in the forest and no one hears it, does anyone really believe he cut down a tree in the first place? Promises of a Kraken and not one lousy sniff of fried calamari anywhere.
