I had some black friends. They made me believe that we were all on the same page, equals. I certainly treated them as my equals. Being white, I could have thought of myself as superior, but I look upon a person as a spiritual being, not as a multicultural crayon. I agreed with Martin Luther King Jr., that it’s all about a person’s character, not their skin color. This spring they showed me their true colors– that they think that they are far superior to me because of their skin color. Some of them even believe that belief in a white Jesus is the mark of the beast. That insanity was a new one for me. They are nursing hurts that are not even their own, and their emotional mindset is keeping them from being logical and rational. They don’t see us as all in the same boat, instead they see an opportunity (ca-ching!). Whitey is not the enemy, fools, the government is.
