The kid will skate, he’s 14.
Lawsuit?
Generally, injuries resulting while in the commission of a felony don’t tend to do well in civil suits.
But it is Philadelphia…
This type suit is filed in Memphrica all the time. The lawyers are hoping for a quick settlement by the insurance company who knows the chances of getting a sympathetic jury is high. I think it is referred to as the “Lawsuit Lottery”
Much better vid of it around. Holmes gets the shot and starts to slump over the counter and drops the money as his fist unclenches and the bills float to the ground.

Know your target – check – and what’s beyond it – oops.
Indeed.
Could’ve snuffed the customer behind him instead of the rose spray.

Suggestion for the cops: instead of taking the ‘victim’ to the hospital drop him off at the incinerator at the landfill.

Around 20 yrs. ago was in Philly for a week-long CE class. Took the Blue Line to the Rittenhouse area. At a bar I met an interesting lawyer, Chris ??? (forgot his last name and lost his card). Criminal defense atty. Told me some crazy stories about practcing law there. This was when Allen Iverson pistol-whipped his shorty. Asked him “Is he your client?”
Answer, “No. My main client is Joey Merlino and his ‘family’.”

The opening statement said the clip contained distressing content, I didn’t see why until the end, when I realized he went to the hospital (and likely lived). That part indeed was distressing, but the rest was pretty awesome.
I’ll bet the kid is in deep loads of trouble and his family will be sued out of existence by the poor chap who was just “tryin to feed his kids.”
Clearly, a HATE crime! He’ll probably get a life sentence.
