Having been there 2x, once with the Tea Party in ‘09, and again at a Glen Beck event several years later, protests there do absolutely no good. No minds are changed, reporting of it is not accurate, and you may very well end up in a cell like the 1/6 Patriots.
As far as where the author went on Malone and the others, I think he is off base. He admits to not listening to Malone interviews. Well, I have. I’m guessing that perhaps Trump was advised to sign the executive order by Fauci or some other sycophantic backstabbing bureaucrat like that other old grifter Frances Collins who just retired (got the hell out of Dodge while the getting was good.) However, as things began to unroll in the late fall and early 2020, I was put off by his continued pursuit of the vaccine at WARP speed even after he’d had Covid and recovered!

The subject of Trump came up when one of them stated that they thought more of him now than previously — as in positive! I honestly couldn’t believe what I heard because this person is very bright, very conservative, very Christian, and she made this statement. I could not hold back and went into my little rant about all the things wrong with this man. The failed promises (the wall, the border, the federal defecit, the stock market he took credit for contrary to his candidate remarks) the swamp creatures he kept around him, the ones he fired only to appoint other deep state actors, and then the lead up to Warp speed, doubling down on it, and NOTHING about those still imprisoned from 1/6). She did open her eyes and say “gosh, you are right (on 1/6 anyway). I know for sure 2 of the other 5 are jabbed and maybe all of them are, IDK.
On a side note, did you see this morning that now Ted Cruz is calling 1/6 a terrorist attack? I guess he plans on running for POTUS again.

It was not long ago that I accepted that 9/11 was in inside job and that we never made it to the moon. I’m not sure where you might be on this but, I know that there is a contingent of Christians that believe there is biblical “proof” or at least an interpretation of scripture that says…wait for it…the world is flat. I believe this may be in the book you are reading. If so, I would really like to hear the support for this belief and the specific verses that are interpreted as supporting this theory.
As I stated in another reply, it took me awhile before I realized that 9/11 was an inside job and that the moon landing was a hoax. The flat earth theory is a bridge too far for me so, I would like to hear rational thought and evidence of why this is believed to be so.
One last thing…I know of 2 people that are boat captains that have sailed around the world. When I told them that this is a theory/belief they looked at me like I was crazy.

It had always been a bridge too far for me…until it wasn’t.
I came to it extremely slowly…over many years and after massive research. Now that had happened before with many FF’s and other deceptions rammed down my public school system throat, and through all the other blanket propaganda we have been forced feed.
After realizing EVERYTHING else I had been taught was a lie…and after one investigation after another (remember I spent my pre-retirement entire adult life as a business fraud investigator) proving EVERYTHING else I had been taught was a lie…I found ‘Confusion in the Cosmos’.
To me it was the cherry on the icing on the top of the investigation cake.
The author and I have e-mailed back and forth a couple of years ago…his real identity is not revealed because I believe that would end his career. (I suspect this he has not told me that).
He sent me three free copies once that I gave to Christian Friends. I have bought three more copies to give to others.
On person told me this book changed his life…far past the subject.
The author brings many deceptions up and how they tie in to this one…and he goes back through the biblically and the secular/scientism history of this deception.
Read it and judge for yourself. It is at many parts a page turner!
Amazon banned it for a long time…that was a big endorsement for me.

You are basing your belief in a flat earth by that one verse? Really? That is one huge stretch to come up with all you said. Just because the bible does not spell out exactly how the Lord formed the earth, the stars, the planets, etc., does not translate to it being flat. In Genesis 1, one book of the bible, the Lord God creates everything — our world, the heavens, the light, the waters, etc. etc. There are no details regarding shapes, sizes, etc.
We know next to nothing about the first 30 years in the life of Christ. There are heretics that claim he was married and had a family. My point is that people can take a verse, or series of verses, and draw various conclusions about unwritten words and descriptions. That’s fine, but when one tries to extrapolate it into things like flat earth theory, or Jesus being married, I think that is a bridge too far.
There is a mountain here in NE Georgia, the highest point in the state. The temperature on the top is usually 15-20 degrees cooler than at the base. One can see quite a distance on a clear day AND, one can see with the naked eye a curvature looking out to the horizon.
There are scholars that are all over the map on when the rapture will occur based on their interpretation of scripture in multiple places in the bible. (Revelation, Daniel, Thessalonians, etc.). I’ve listened to many debates on this issue alone by very smart Jesus following, bible believing, Christian scholars. They are a lot smarter than me and each has taken the same scriptures and posited different theories on what happens in the end times based on the same verses.
There is also a growing group of Christians that are part of the NAR or Dominionism movement. They have interpreted scripture to believe that we need to set things right here on earth or Christ will not return! What?? This is why Christ will return — we’ve all mucked things up pretty good.
Back to this belief in flat earth. When I first heard about it 2-3 years ago, I was open to trying to understand where this belief would come from as I knew it was from bible believing Christians, and not pagans. I watched no less than 3 or 4 long YouTube videos of other Christians proving, with lasers, targets and precise measurements that there was a curvature of the earth. Also, as I mentioned elsewhere, I know of several friends that have navigated the globe. They did not fall off the edge!
Sorry guys, for those of you in this camp, I can’t buy it. I’ve put this to rest in my own mind and have not, and will not, go down that road. I’m not here to argue with you, Grace Country Pastor, or Mark, as I think highly of you both and have followed your posts for years. But, IMHO (I’ll always say I could be wrong), I’m just not buying it. When I get to heaven, I’ll ask Jesus about it!!
I don’t base my own beliefs on that one verse, no. But I do believe it’s literally true, as is the Genesis creation. My beliefs, like Marks, came from much cognitive pain. The last thing I wanted to be when I grew up was a flat earther. But, here we are. We don’t have to believe the same things but I have come to believe that this is the mother of all conspiracies. If we are on a minute speck of dust hurtling accidentally through infinite space with trillions of other inhabited worlds abounding, we really don’t matter all that much, do we? That’s what “they” want us to believe. That’s not me.

She told me her next appointment is January 27, when another MRI will either show the same tumors or different sized tumors or no tumors at all. We are believing they are smaller than lime and peanut sized, but I’m still suspicious of her sister-in-law’s prayer for her brother and husband to come with Jesus to get her. I suspect she prayed “me too” and I looked at their 60th anniversary photo taken just months before his death. They literally had it all.
I shared with her what the Mennonite barn builder told me regarding her husband’s uncanny ability to call his own date of death. He’d called his son in Pennsylvania on Wednesday and told him Jesus was coming for him Saturday. He died 11 p.m. Saturday with all his children/grandchildren with him and Geneva.*
So, the Mennonite looked at me solemnly and said “That man was EXACTLY right with the Lord.”
And Geneva knew exactly what he’d meant too. I know it meant a lot to her.
She misses him and I miss him for her.

Today, I needed to take my UTV (utility vehicle) in for service. After I was checked in with what needed to be done, the owner shared with me that my UTV (manufactured in 2005) that was approximately $4500 new would now cost me close to $10,000. He said in the last year, and especially in the last few months, prices have skyrocketed.
After I left there, I called my local Lp (liquid propane) company about purchasing a second tank, one that will hold 500 gallons of propane. I’ve known the owner for awhile and we chatted a bit. He told me that he had just gotten in a shipment of various size tanks (250, 500 & 1,000 gallon). He was told by the manufacturer, located in Mississippi that any further orders would have a delivery date sometime in 2023! He told him they are having problems getting steel, that help in the factory is down 25%, and the 13 drivers they used to have is down to 9. The price on tanks have gone through the roof too.
He went on to say that this is just the beginning of major inflationary prices and we have not seen nothing yet. He was also concerned that not many people have a clue as to how bad it is getting.
I meant to add that the propane business guy said he has done more business in the last year than in the previous 10 years. Many are buying propane generators and, like me, bigger or additional tanks for that “rainy day”.
We picked up a 100 gallon diesel storage tank for $400. Serious bargain.
