There were no firearms within reach when that happened, otherwise my desktop would not be functioning right now.

I’ll believe it when I see it. Ford said no more lockdowns or vaccine passports last summer, meanwhile we are still in lockdown here in Ontario and have to present a vaccine passport to enter many public spaces or eat in a restaurant.
Doug Ford has turned out to be a bigger liar than Trudeau. We thought we were getting a man of the people like his brother Rob Ford, and instead we got a communist who’s just like Trudeau and whose policies are worse than the provincial liberal government he replaced.
Ford promised to get Ontario open for business and instead he closed it for two years and destroyed many businesses in the process. What business in their right mind would even consider doing business or investing in this province after this?

When Biden announced his vaccine mandates I talked to an acquaintance who is in the Reserves and had flown missions over Afghanistan. I asked him whether he knew of any servicemen who were reluctant to get vaccinated. He laughed at me. He laughed at “being afraid of a needle”. Following orders is their uttermost “duty”. This Canadian is a good man. Most military and police will follow orders.
Just following orders isn’t a very good excuse, didn’t work for many back in the day, so won’t work today…
The vast majority will follow orders. Following orders is the foundation of military service. They used to spend a minuscule amount of time in basic telling you that you had a duty to disobey unlawful orders but they didn’t really mean it.
They are following orders to protect their pensions. Many will do whatever they are told by the government, no matter how illegal, because they also know if the government falls, so does their chance of getting the big payoff for being a good mercenary.
