Hmm, I wonder how many rounds you’d like to have in this situation. Hell, even a .22 with 16-18 rounds MIGHT be better than a 7 rounds of .45 IN THIS SITUATION.

Wow, I wonder if the guy that went out the door bled out? ?I’ve seen it play out multiple times now in other videos like this one. If you don’t hit them in the noggin or in the heart they will live long enough to continue to do you harm, no matter the caliber but, especially with anything smaller than .45 ACP.
How about 13 rds of .45? Mod. 2. Or 14? Para-Ordnance 14-45.
Got both and they work quite well.
That’s not the time to play around.
Well a shorty shotgun with a birds head grip and 6 rounds of 00 buck…..would have fixed that in a couple of shots……no perps running out the door.
So true. Problem is you can’t pack that around every step of your day.
Oh Sir!, Could I interest you in one of these?
Sorry, no. Still no 12ga. version. 🙁
Oh, sir, could I interest you in a fucking moniker? Otherwise I don’t want need or appreciate comments from any of the anonymous unwashed.
The governor is also in that catagory. S&W, uses 45 acp as well.
A .410 with 00buck still puts 3x the lead in the air than a regular revolver….
Mac 10, UZI, P90, MP5.
Quantity has a quality all its own.
Be sure to have whatever you shoot
loaded with hollow points.
I love a happy ending.
They all are, except practice. Even my .22s are hp.
Para-Ordnance 14-45.
My favorite, the OEM Canadian version and the one I’ve used forever for concealed carry. All metal and so heavy a .45 barely moves it, you almost can’t miss with it.
My Glock that I bought in ’02.
I got so good at the range with that thing (me and a buddy got into it for a while) that I could consistently place body shots – like an entire clip – from 50+ feet away. Burned through a ton of American Eagle at the time to get it down.
I did not know that Glock used clips.
Funny!
I got called out and corrected at my ccw class years ago for using that term.
True observation. However, generally speaking, semantics belongs in the classroom. If it holds lead/bullets/cartridges and can throw them through a tube/gun/pistol at bad guys then I don’t care if you call it a garter. As long as they have holes in them and I don’t.
No one cares what term is used when the powder/propellant is being burnt.
Just sayin’. 🙂
Now grammar, that’s a whole different area. Poor grammar deserves the wrath of EC upon ye.
I miss the Coyote’s song lyrics and posting of old music; his grammar correction, not so much. Glock caught me yesterday, but he was kind in his correction.
I believe it is important to use the proper terms when referring to firearms. Progressives misuse terms all the time, showing their ignorance of firearms and we do not want to give them a break by committing the same mistake.
…his grammar correction, not so much.
Lol. It was a game that went on long before you showed up, TN. A oneupsmanship kind of thing. I can see where it might be annoying to someone not used to it.
I agree that we should know the proper terms. It’s just that everyone I’m around has been shooting since we were really young, like 4 or so, and we all use those terms interchangeably.
“Got a mag? My clip’s almost empty.” or “Quick, I need some bullets before he gets away.”
Pretty informal.
Fiiiiiiiiine…Magazine. Ya old hound dog.
You’re like my mechanic telling me it’s a manual and not a stick.
But I concede your point. And you are right.
Cheers Patriot.
The only weapon I have that uses “clips” is an AK.
Stripper clips. They “strip” the cartridges into the magazine.
My SKS used the same ones. Too bad I lost it.
Glock illegal in MA.
And yet criminals don’t give a dam about that since they are….well crimials. So the Commonwealth essentially enables criminals over the law abiding. But they don’t see it that way.
Even my old Colt 1911 would be now considered illegal in Taxachusetts.
Here’s what happens when you drive out normal people and replace them with illegals who aren’t interested in anything but joining the local Free Shit Army.
No one should give a damn about the bullshit gun laws.
Under this government, we are all criminals eventually.
Only if you get caught…..
Red shirt man hiding behind a tent. Classic.
Concealment, but not cover.
The thinking there was it was water-repellent and he was trying to protect himself from the guy running out who was pissing himself and those nearby.
Looks like the .45 round pretty much worked. A .22 can work but hit for hit, a .45 is always going to be preferable.
I didn’t see either of those perps stop and ask if he was shooting a .45 or a 9mm or a .22. No, I think from the very first moment they saw a gun and heard it go bang bang, they ran for the hills. I think in THIS instance I’d want a bunch of rounds so I don’t run out. At the end, did you see that the guy outside was still shooting at the guy inside? If he’d only had 7 rounds or so, he wouldn’t be able to repel him from coming back into the store and killing everyone.
That’s why you carry a spare mag and practice, practice, practice on reloading.
Practicing the reload is as important as placing rounds on target. You never wait until you run out of bullets either, but when the opportunity presents itself, tactical reloads are a thing… So is learning to deal with malfunctions.
If you have a semi auto, drop a blank into the magazine somewhere. Firing and clearing that dud or reloading a mag could save your life…
Clearing any failure to fire quickly is MANDATORY if you carry.
Damn, looks like that guy carries on chamber and off safety. I’d have a backup gun hidden somewhere in the store as well. Looks as if he expects this kind of trouble from time to time.
Probably has a trigger safety.
At the end the clerk heads behind the counter to retrieve another firearm, likley a pump shotgun
He works a gun store so he probably realizes the chances are high that he’s not only a target but one where they will come shooting first knowing he’s going to be armed. Man, he was pretty quick on the draw too.
Were the two “customers” intentionally working together? Or was the guy who entered first just joining in the shootout because he saw an opportunity?
First guy would be the distraction. Notice he wasn’t caught by surprise. They were working together.
The clerk was shooting off balance and sitting in a chair that was rolling and leaning back. Hit both targets which is pretty good shooting if you ask me.
Or lucky?
Sometimes it is better to be lucky than skillful.
Until the covid scam we at the local gun club would hold our weekend fun shoots. They always have an element of off balance shooting. Criminals are never going to wait until you are positioned and planted before launching their attacks. So be prepared… practice…
He also drew his weapon and brought it on target in under a 1/2 second
and KEPT himself moving.
That man clearly had extensive training and he practices constantly.
There’s a guy on YT who breaks down shoots on video surveillance. He should do this one, that was as skilled a response you’re likely to see by a civilian. You’re right about the training, he didn’t miss a beat.
Active Self Protection is the name of his YT channel. He does a pretty solid job of analysis.
Pretty good draw from seated.
Liked that movie star drop and roll across the tent to dodge the onslaught of bullets.
Hornaday critical self defense rounds knock things down and create a maximum wound channel. Good ammo is a must for any kind of short distance gunfight. Multiple mags, easy to reach, and a well practiced dump and load skillset is a smart move for someone in the high risk workplace- especially with multiple shooters. he didn’t look like he had a mag change before he dashed into the next room, but he might have been going for the artillery, clip was too short to tell what he was up to.
I thought the guy handled that like a champ and I got the feeling it wasn’t his first gunfight. He was quick on the draw, he was already chambered and he hit center mass on his closest attacker with the first round.
The guy in the muscle shirt appeared to have been shot by the second perp. His arm was moving kinda wonky when he made his move to concealment.
And for the soft of heart…the second guy came in shooting. He was not going to ask for compliance, he was going to kill the owner if he could. No such thing as a fair gun fight…just a gun fight.
Yes, best have self defense rounds. A must for CC imo.
Looks to me that the first perp firing may have taken a hit to the spine with that first shot that dropped him. It also appears that the clerk got hit in the upper right arm, maybe grazed as it didn’t immobilize it. When he moved across the room to get behind the counter, he put his hand on the supposed wound and looked at it. I don’t think man in red was hit. It looks like the first perp dropped as he was turning the gun towards him and before he could fire it. Clerk saved his buddy’s ass.
The key to that situation, was he had his piece quickly accessible. He also knew how to handle it. Good job.
