I was an analytical thinker as a small child. Disney always rubbed me the wrong way, especially the sorcerer’s apprentice short. I didn’t come from a Christian home, but Sunday School caused me to love the Bible. I wasn’t exposed to Disney except for at my aunt’s house, where they absolutely worshipped everything Disney. The common themes of witchcraft, space aliens, unseen forces, and magic in the movies bothered me, but the Sorcerer’s Apprentice was over the top.
I couldn’t figure out why such an upstanding Christian family would partake in a slap in the face to the Bible’s basic teachings. My aunt was a Sunday School teacher. I couldn’t reconcile the contradiction.
Now, her children and grandchildren are still completely wrapped up in the cult. I don’t even try to break this familiar, well-loved spirit(s) within them, as it is so deeply rooted that they would take it as a personal attack on them.

“Fantasia” was entrancing. Otherwise, their content sucks. We had an Exxon Jobbers conference at WDW around 84-85. The place creeped me out. Idiots in doubleknit, yes doubleknit, suits running the place.
Only good thing about the place was that Esso sponsored the Energy of Tomorrow exhibit, so we got to bypass the line.
