To save SS and Medicare, all Congress has to do is change them into welfare, as welfare is never threatened with going bankrupt. //s
It’s not only the roads, it’s Everything. All the infrastructure from water mains, to the grid, bridges, sewers, and beyond. This country hasn’t invested any major funds for any of that. I used to work in the transportation field. Every six years congress would allocate about 600 billion for roads, keep in mind that would be a SIX year transportation bill. They allocated over 800 billion to the MIC THIS year alone and have been doing that for decades.
Also keep in mind the highway use taxes we pay have about 10% siphoned off for public transportation, bike lanes, green belts, etc. for those who do not pay highway use taxes.
The solution only requires a spine…. Stop paying fed taxes…
Then demand accountability on taxes within your state/prov or you’ll stop paying there as well…
