Today at the playground: my child is playing with a toy and another child is staring at it, clearly wanting to play with it. Child was roughly 7 years old, long braided hair, pink glasses, pink shirt, pink shoes. So I say: “Buddy, why don’t you let the girl play, too?”
The Mom says: “Nora is a boy.”
WTF? I was so stunned that I did not have a witty quick answer. Should’ve said: “No, she’s not.” Or: “She’s not doing a very convincing job pretending.” Or “So he is cross dressing?”
My husband said I should’ve said to the Mom: “Why are you dressing him funny then?”
Listened to the first few minutes of the interview, appalling. I had to quit though when both the interviewer and mom were like “we are not against the alphabet shit and if you want to send your kids have at it”…

People have been put on notice for years about the kind of things that go on in public indoctrination centers. It doesn’t stop most from sending children there.
For this reason, I cannot fathom why most people even have children. They don’t want to raise them at all. They want the government to take full control and responsibility.
I’ve tried for years to warn people that the agenda is for the state to own all children. I recently realized that my warnings (not that most ever heard them) fell on deaf ears because that is exactly what most “parents” want, too.

People will make all sorts of causal relationships, but the biggest one is that normal sane people mostly don’t want to have to deal with public education. I would have loved to teach, but fuck that. Now parents are talking about education co-ops and that is a pretty slick idea.
Education co-ops are my term for parents pooling together to hire instructors that will come to the homes and teach kids things better suited for subject matter experts (SMEs) to supplement (or in some cases replace) home schooling.
The major problem with the education paradigm is that humans are supposed to be instructed and parented by parents and other close associations, not put into the equivalent of an education feedlot and abandoned to the wolves. There is no substitute for the mentorship and parenting of actual parenting. None. I am going to make the same argument as Pfizer here: the outcome will always have been better without the public education.
The amount of former teachers now turned homeschooling parents is stunning.
Also, I know a few former high school math teachers and they all got out when they could to do something else with numbers (actuary, sales, real estate, finance).
