The Real Story Behind The Baby Formula Crisis Isn’t What You Think

Via The Blue State Conservative

by Tom Williams

The baby formula out-of-stock rate nationwide sits at 40%, according to a report from Datasembly. In Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri, Texas, and Tennessee, the rates were greater than 50% during the last week of April. See below an ABC report on this baby formula shortage.

“This issue has been compounded by supply chain issues, product recalls, and historic inflation,” Datasembly CEO Ben Reich said in a report from mid-April. “Unfortunately, given the unprecedented amount of volatility to the category, we anticipate baby formula to continue to be one of the most affected products in the market.”

The formula shortage, which has become a national crisis, was triggered by supply chain issues but spiked recently with the closure of the Abbott plant due to alleged production issues that have led to two infant deaths. Abbott Laboratories, the biggest baby formula supplier in the US, whose Michigan plant was shut down nearly three months ago, claims the bacterial infection that killed at least two infants did not come from their products.

In mid-February, Abbott Laboratories issued a nationwide baby formula recall and ceased operations at its plant in Sturgis, Michigan, amid reports of babies contracting bacterial infections from its products. Despite this issue with Abbott, the baby formula supply chain issues have been building for nearly a year. See this in the chart below and learn more here and here.

Baby Formula Shortages 2022

See below the states in the US that have been hit the hardest by this baby formula shortage crisis.

Baby Formula Shortages by State 2022

Unfortunately, Abbott’s Sturgis plant is responsible for the manufacturing of 75% of all amino acid baby formulas in the US. The Abbott plant still remains closed despite the findings after shutting down in February amid a major product recall. So far, the FDA refuses to allow it to reopen. Abbott says it’s “working closely with the FDA to restart operations” at the plant as parents across the nation are struggling to get formula for their babies.

Again, the supply chain issues have been ongoing for nearly a year, while the Biden administration has done little to alleviate the issues. It is almost as if it was part of a plan to drive an agenda that more government control is needed over the free market – when the opposite would be the better solution to relieve these shortage issues.

This story is not over.

Matthew 24:6 Context

3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

Michigan Statistics
Black women had 14,854 of the 26,801 abortions performed on Michigan residents in 2020 with racial data available.

While Black women make up only about 14% of Michigan’s female population, they had 55.4% of all abortions reported in the state in 2018.

92.5% of Black women having abortions are not married.

Black abortion rate (per 1,000 women of reproductive age) by age group:
Under 20 —20.8
20-24 — 72
25-29 — 76.7
30-34 — 57.8
35-39 — 24.2
40 and over — 7.2

Different source…
In 2008, the abortion rate for non-Hispanic White women was 12 abortions per 1000 reproductive-age women, compared with 29 per 1000 for Hispanic women, and 40 per 1000 for non-Hispanic Black women

If instead of fighting abortion, Christians switched their emphasis to black irresponsibility and lack of impulse control we might be on to something. Many of these black pregnancies are from incest (mostly cousins and uncles), and step-relationships, but you will find to little data on that factor. But not to worry, white trash people are catching up quickly, not to be outdone by their black counterparts. Thank God for the Asians.

But hey, muh freedom!

Just out of curiosity, would it be a good thing if the black birth rate doubled?

Take a look at the work of Midwestern Doctor on Substack. He makes the historical case that the rise of baby formula was a corporate crime. It is an interesting analysis.

The salient points:
1. Two (2) babies die from bacterial infection
2. FDA makes Abbott recall their product.
3. Zero evidence the bacteria came from Abbott
4. FDA refuses to allow Abbott to restart production.
5. The US government is going to take over baby formula distribution (equity and shit)

Key takeaways:
1. Government says it is a supply chain issue when all the evidence points to an FDA issue.
2. Never believe anything the government says.
3. Never.
4. No. 5 above says that lots more babies are going to die. Welcome to Communism.

I’ve got a thyroid condition known as hypothyroidism — under-active thyroid gland. For years, I’ve taken Nature-Throid — a porcine glandular — by RLC Labs — and it’s worked wonders beyond anything that the medicare favored synthroid.

Armour also makes a porcine thyroid glandular — at about 4-5x the cost ($56 for 35 tablets vs. $25 for 90 tablets of the Nature-Throid) of the Nature-Throid. Rather mysteriously, Nature-Throid was closed down by the FDA when 2 of the batches of production contained only 87% of the active ingredient vs. the 90% the FDA requires. This happened almost 2 years ago … and the company seemingly is unable to meet the FDA guidelines to restart production.

Something smelled awfully fishy about this as soon as it happened … and the fact that it continues — while Armour’s nearly identical product continues to be produced and sold — only confirms that suspicion.

The term supply chain issues seems to a be a catch all for anything that doesn’t go according to plan.

What supplies are we talking about and how could you write an entire article and never mention whatever it is? Or mention the fact that there are only three manufacturers of baby formula in the US? Both of those details seem pertinent, oddly they don’t even merit mention.

When an unelected government agency (FDA) can shut down a national industry because of two deaths …. deaths that weren’t even confirmed to have been caused by that industry, then read no further because THAT IS THE REAL STORY.

I have always felt the FDA is the most evil and dangerous of all agencies because their tyranny affects me each and every day; what I can or can’t eat, or drink, or even the supplements I want ….. in addition to putting out massive nutritional bullshit year round.

That shithole of mediocre evil people needs to be eliminated ASAP.

In Oz, there are people who run around gathering up formula for shipment to China. In large quantities. My guess is that this happens in the US, too. Seems that the Chinese do not trust the quality of the formula made in China. Who would have thought it?

Anyway, my guess is a lot of formula is stripped from shelves, packaged up, and sent to China where it is sold at huge mark-ups. Stores in Oz have managed to slow those bastards down, but not complete stop the activity by placing low limits on the amount an individual can buy at a time.
