Spot on. Those who control the institutions are the only ones with enough reach to effectuate such a comprehensive collapse. But it extends beyond financial institutions. Politics, law, education, military, organized religion, medicine, whole business sectors…you name it.

But everybody was willing to go along with it. We were bought. Farmers got paid to not grow crops. We don’t have to worry about Grandma because she’s got medicare and social security. I watched houses go from the 20ks to the 80ks in a couple of years in the 1980s. How many people do you know that have zero debt? We’re not the same people that this country started with.

Gen X slips under the radar once again
Yup. My generation. The one that’s done fuck-all to stop bad things or create good things, and which is constantly pointing its fingers at the generations in front and behind.
We spent our childhoods being told the USSR was going to nuke us at any moment, the world was about to run out of oil, and global cooling, killer bees and AIDS were going to kill us all as well as many other ways the universe was out to get us. We saw our parents get fired from long held jobs in the name of cheap labour and stuff from abroad. We accepted these things because we had no power to change it and kept putting one foot in front of the other. We learned to live in the world that is, not what we wished it to be.

The younger generations, Gen X, Millenials, Z’s, whatever are more amenable to censorship, putting almost no value on free speech. So they’re making it worse thought control.
I agree they make it worse by playing the victim card without cease, but they didn’t start this mess.
Some among the younger generations parroting ‘alternative facts’ is a symptom of what you might call ‘effective information operations’ (i.e. holistic propaganda). This process includes stripping away cultural or moral norms that make you resilient to exploitation.
Amenability to censorship is a by-product of individuals conditioned to NOT think critically.
Not sure how much of this was by design though. My own experience with self-interested, maleficent overlords teaches me that they’re often too self-interested to be very competent at planning.

Plank 5 MUST be destroyed FIRST. So, The Fed and the “law” that allows it to exist. That must be attacked like a Fabian Socialist attacks Individualism: RELENTLESSY until completely destroyed, infiltrated or castrated.

When those who claimed to be fighting “fascism” came home and didn’t do anything about the fascism, socialism, and totalitarianism that had been openly embraced while they were in Europe and the Pacific, it set the foundation for everything we have seen since. Of course 1860 began the destruction, and nobody was truly allowed to learn anything from that mass slaughter event to protect the northern manufacturing base, the railroads, and the current version of American mercantilism, but 1913 sealed the deal. One can hardly put the blame on one generation, when every generation is to blame in their own way. His ideas on efficiency successfully infected just about every organizational endeavor in the western world and turned them into some type of assembly line. The main purpose of human beings was to be cajoled into working as hard as possible as a cog in the machine of national efficiency.
The net result was he ideologically handed over the complete control of everything to a handful of experts, owners, and bosses with the assumption that they were most capable of leading any organization (be it business, school, gov’t, whatever). Systems no longer existed to serve humanity, humanity existed to serve the system as run by a handful of elites who Taylor envisioned as being the most qualified people.
