I see a common denominator in all of these photos.

2 poor kids in our school and 1 teacher. Nobody else.
Happy smiling kids without faces buried in i-gadgets?
one demographic.
Ginger was like the 60s version of a TikToker. MaryAnn all the way.
Agreed. MaryAnn was hot as well as actually being useful when stranded on an island. Ginger was mostly just taking up space.
Could be a QOTD topic
The only time Ginger gets a vote is when a gay guy interjects himself into the discussion.
MaryAnn made the crop top famous and sexy.
Brings back great memories of a much simpler time. I do miss it
When even the Lutherans had 4 kids. They key to those good old days was that there were a lot of kids – WAY more than now in most neighborhoods. We had about two dozen boys within 2 years of my age within two blocks.
… and those children were all born of US Citizens … not an anchor baby in sight … and English was the only language, period …
People could afford families. No big government. No big tax bills. Inflation moved forward at a snail’s pace.
You don’t remember the 70’s, do you?
Mary Ann of course, and I remember the gum that was a spring loaded gag that smashed your fingernail.
“After 50 years…”, being 60, I’m looking at “Lovey” now.
Ginger for about two weeks, Mary Ann for a lifrtime….also APBA baseball over Strat o matic
Had a Creepy Crawlers set. You could burn the hell out of yourself if not paying attention.
Been there did that. Forget how I still remember the sound the ball made. I still remember how I burned the shit out of my thumb on the thingmaker. Mattel blistermaker more like LOL. Can still see the scar 50 years later.
Don’t remember a ball thing. I also remember you could buy goop that was edible IIRC. Tasted nasty

We didn’t eat Tide, but many tried eating Pop Rocks and drinking soda right afterwards.
“room 222”
my afro was bigger than that guy’s.
Amen on the Tide picture.
Back in the late 1960’s, car dealers would put full page ad’s in the Saturday Kansas City Star Newspaper advertising new Plain Jane Pickups for $1,800.

Thanks Mr.Liberty!!!
What a horrible intro on George in that pilot, right? Thank god they got someone to write a theme song for them.
Slip ‘n’ Slides sucked when I was growing up in Florida – there wasn’t a hill to be found!
Is there blood on the bottom of that slip-n-slide?
There was always at least one rock underneath, no matter where you placed them.
I lived in the ultra-flat bottom of the San Fernando Valley, and we still had fun on them. Nobody died, that’s for sure. And our yard was St. Augustine grass, just like in Florida.
This goes back way further. I thought it interesting and cool the preservation and editing of the film. New York City, 1911.
That was indeed interesting. Thanks
Very cool, thank you.
Another one I enjoy that shows how chaotic streets were in the early 20th century; San Francisco in 1905. Not great quality, but I love the scene and music. The camera glitches subside as it progresses.

Unless it’s a mistaken memory… when I was but a wee lad, I’m pretty sure I was served a fried chicken meal on a jet flight. Now I wish I would have taken a polaroid picture to prove it.
All the hot chicks wore Candie’s.
