I found this site around 15 yrs ago, someone had posted a link in the message board to a marketwatch article I was reading when i first started to dabble in the market.
I remember reading the article about the mortgage crisis that was coming and then scrolled through the comments, blown away by all these different opinions, theories, views on just this one article. I would spend half the day researching the stuff I would read on the comments sections. You could judge how great the article was by scrolling through the comments section.

Not an echo chamber but at least somewhat similar lines of thinking. It does not whet my radicalism therefore it is not, for me, an echo chamber.
The highly repetitive ‘slant’ of articles chosen to repost here echoes. The repeating of way so many propagandized ‘reports’ by some MSM as if they’re face value news and the high repeat of authors who are oblivious to how much they’re still buying into some dead wrong aspect of the narrative constitute a huge echo chamber to me of either one person’s narrow awareness that a much smarter world is thriving and/or biases.
There’s many other very active authors and podcasters being ignored who are far more narrative smart and doing great dot connecting. I may not agree in every way with these people, but they are consistently putting out far more accurate and relevant content than especially the authors on high repeat here……

My list is not on tbp or taresa’s list and I don’t think my list is highest attained. I just set a high bar for who I take seriously as opposed to who I read or scan to stay abreast of what’s being sold this week. I agreed with his opening statement but he lost me with those two clown world actors. Typical B-listers from the diverse collection of allowable counterpoint vendors approved by the Company as alt-media, alt-right narrative distributors.
When our motives are altruistic, I have to believe we are the better people.
I could see your point with Greg, I have to give him some old school dullheadedness leeway, but he delivers a high volume of gems like the recent interview with Dr. Dowd for example. He’s not shutting out risky truth and he’s not pushing any personal agenda or has any ego about his own beliefs.
But make your Rappoport argument. Maybe show me more than one something from the last two years for what you mean. I’m critical and find him very hard to argue with. He’s among the few who called hoax and no isolation right out of the box, gets extremely medically specific about his claims and dot connecting and did it once before with HIV/AIDS.

Calling the hoax right out of the box does not count as anything for me because I not only called it here I did it before it came out of the box and predicted the medical martial law including travel restrictions. I say that because I’m just a garden variety truth seeker and it was too obvious not to see it. Only HSF was with me from the git go on it and we are still picking tar and feathers out of our hair.
He does a good enough job to induce bystanders to be more curious and I doubt he would willfully deceive anyone but that doesn’t mean his info helps anyone get to the real core or the head of the Hydra.
My biggest gripe is he is selling something.

If your blanket dismissal of Rappoport’s ‘trustworthiness’ without citing any examples of questionable content is tied solely to ‘his selling something’, then it would be hypocritical to not apply it 100% across the board to all writers selling something along with what they write for free. Boy do I disagree with that as value predictability criteria.

This place is the echo chamber of those who were blocked and banned from every other “official” place. “Society” had forsaken and aimed to silence us, so here we are.
TBP tends to be an echo chamber of sorts, but there is a wide range of comments thrown in with quite a diverse assortment of opinions. Many of the articles have a similar viewpoint that coincides with the thoughts of the regulars Covid=hoax; ivermectin=good; “vaccines”=bad. Buy gold. Ukraine is lost. Government = bad; politicians even worse.
We also get to read worldwide points of view that bring stories telling us what is going on in their neighborhood. I come here because the people tend to think like I do and are very intelligent. I have learned a lot in my 2 or 3 years on the platform. I feel like I have many friends here, even though we have never met or spoken in person.
This is the kind of joint you can step in to, flap your lips and get knocked on your ass. If you can’t get back up and start swinging again, somebody lends a hand. Echo chamber? Sure is…an echo of real life!

I think we’re a group of like minded people for the most part. An echo chamber? Maybe. What I do know for sure is that my dad, my friend and I had the same views that no one else had. 911 was inside. JFK assassination was inside. Voting didn’t matter. When dad went in 2007 the chamber decreased by 1. My friend introduced me here around pizza gate. I lurked but felt a weight off my being. Other people believed what my friend and I do. The world righted itself somehow. When the shitshot came and everyone I know took it, I found solace that I wasn’t the only one who wouldn’t.

I think it might be that those with challenging thoughts have come to the realization that it is time to pick our battles more carefully.
But, I miss El Coyote most of all.
When presenting opinions it has some characteristics of an echo chamber, and when presenting facts those facts support the opinions but are nonetheless facts.
This could be the result of living in a society so deeply enmeshed in a totalitarian-wannabe propaganda regime: we constantly reinforce ourselves and each other, and constantly look for the reinforcement.
There was always going to be an end. The left was always going to come out of the closet as authoritarian communists. There was always going to be a “great choosing of sides”, which is well underway now. It is very revealing of truths long suspected, principally that the uniparty is real, they hate all of us, and they’re willing to use all the power of their government to subdue, control and if necessary kill us.
Under these circumstances, who wouldn’t want a bit of company now and then?
Absent near-universal American gun ownership, we would be Canada or Australia now. Make no mistake: The first amendment rests firmly on the foundation of the threat of massive 2nd Amendment violence backing it up. They we always going to come for the guns. They have to. They always do.
