I had my own nostalgic moment last month.
Back in 1973 when I was TDY in Rhein-Maine AFB I bought myself a 10 speed Peugeot bike. Had it for a good 20 years. Great bike.
Fast forward to last month. I was in the market for a used bike …. for exercise. Looked in Craigslist. Found 1973 Peugeot …. exactly like the one I had!! And get this. Dude said it as his father’s bike, and his dad bought it while in the Army! Not making this up.
Just like this one … almost new condition, really Everything original, even the seat and derailleur. Only $120.

Defender was ridiculously hard to master. That was the one game I could never conquer.
They were all just patterns to be memorized, but in the end, you did still have to beat every level. My favorite was Robotron.

With a few bucks of quarters I could get a candy bar, can of coke and play several video games. Everything was a quarter.
We’d play at a local pizza joint for hours on a few quarters. Wait for people to leave their pizza and eat all night for free. What’s weird, is we caused no problems and the management didn’t care…
Couldn’t do that when l was a kid. It wasn’t invented yet, and l didn’t have a quarter.
