Over 40% Of Americans Think Civil War Likely Within 10 Years

Via ZeroHedge

Over 40% of Americans think civil war is at least somewhat likely in the next decade, which increases to more than half among self-identified “Strong Republicans,” according to a YouGov/Economist survey.

Around 2/3 of those polled also believe that political division in this country has gotten worse since Joe Biden took office, vs. only 8% who say the country has grown less divided. 62% expect political division to increase.

60% of those polled anticipate an increase in political violence over the next few years, while 9% expect a decrease.

By party, Republicans are more likely to say political division has worsened and expect things to continue in that direction.

Civil War?

As YouGov writes in its report: What is the likelihood that political violence will culminate in a civil war in the U.S.? While only 14% of Americans say a civil war is very likely in the next decade, 43% say it is at least somewhat likely. About one in three – 35% – say it is not very or at all likely, and 22% are unsure. People who say they are “strong Republicans” are the political group most likely to anticipate a civil war: 21% say it’s very likely, compared to less than 15% of each of the other four political groups studied.

Others aren’t so sure about civil war.

As Rachel Kleinfeld, a specialist in civil conflict at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace told The Guardian earlier this month, “Countries with democracies and governments as strong as America’s do not fall into civil war. But if our institutions weaken, the story could be different.”

Antifa won’t fight unless they are paid. BLM is dead and buried so there is no more corporate money flowing in to pay off the street rioters. So, is this a secondary purpose of all this money flowing into Ukraine – is this the funding mechanism for whatever political chaos is about to be unleashed?

And Biden’s speech last night – a second angle is that whatever they have cooked up to be unleashed soon is cover for the coming Reverse REPO which will draw trillions in cash out of the stock market and implode nearly every asset bubble. If everyone is glued to their TVs watching looting and burning they won’t notice the Fed’s reverse REPO taking place, just like they didn’t notice the REPO taking place from Sep 2019 to Jun 2020 when they were all cowering and sheltering in place due to the corona virus.

And they will need a crisis to divert the normies from the realization that those 4 shots they got really are going to kill them.

My angle is that everything that happens in this country happens to benefit its owners, and these owners are the owners of the Federal Reserve System. Events only make sense when assessed from this perspective. USA is just a bank with a standing army that fights wars to force the use of fiat US dollars on every corner of the globe.

“My angle is that everything that happens in this country happens to benefit its owners, ”

Not good with numbers, but i don’t even believe this has been happening for very long. Less than 1/4 century, pretty sure.

“if our institutions weaken…” You mean like the FBI, CIA, Fed, DOJ, military, legacy press, and medical establishment? Sounds like we’re there.

As Rachel Kleinfeld, a specialist in civil conflict at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace

Does nobody else see the contradiction in this? A member of the Tribe who is a “specialist in civil conflict” — color me shocked — at a place for “International Peace?” How, exactly, do you think this person believes international peace will be achieved?

As for anything The Economist has to say, consider this:

The Economist Newspaper Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Economist Group. Sir Evelyn Robert de Rothschild was Chairman of the company from 1972 to 1989.

Or this:

Susan Jean Elisabeth “Zanny” Minton Beddoes (born July 1967) is a British journalist. She is the editor-in-chief of The Economist, the first woman to hold the position. She began working for the magazine in 1994 as its emerging markets correspondent.

In 2015, Beddoes was one of 133 invitees to the elite 63rd Bilderberg conference, an invitation-only meeting of top business leaders, politicians, academics and royalty, for an informal and secret discussion of world issues.

How can you trust a poll run by people who produce phony numbers for a living?

So…what is the next step to spice up the social tensions? What kind of false flag to blame on MAGA domestic terrorists? Guns? Maybe, but what about a large graveside gathering at Arlington Nat’l Cemetery? An explosion. Very powerful political statement of the alleged perpetrator (s) and the righteous reaction sure to follow. A veritable flame thrower. Just thinking aloud. The speech last night was the operational signal, now the operation in play?

I’d give it 5. 100% dissolution of the federal government and allowing people to move to states where they actually find common ground COULD possibly avoid the bloodshed, but those who need to live parasitically off the rest of us simply won’t allow that to happen.

How about 10 months of states don’t secede.

The US Gov’t will never, and I mean never, voluntarily permit such a solution. Remember, we aren’t the USSR in 1991. /s

the megalomaniacs in power will never, ever voluntarily allow a reduction of their power which a division, or much worse, a civil war, would produce. so what to do?

WAIT.

the ways of acting among those at the top assure national bankruptcy which, itself, will lead to much angst and consternation which will result in dramatic changes the megalomaniacs cannot control. the reactions to what they have done and caused will be nearly uniform – one group, thankful change is coming, the other group demanding their benefits which cannot be delivered any longer. both groups will have the fedgov in their sights, obviously for different reasons, with the reality being nearly ALL will be at the throats of leaders. it is at this point that real change cannot be stopped. it is at this point that division will take place if it ever will.

I bet the actual figure is much higher. I for one would not answer, I would even say “Sorry, “I can’t understand you, your phone is breaking up” then hang UP.

In these times we find ourselves, I don’t think it is paranoid to consider such polls as Fed-Boi-Incel Honey traps. AND I am convinced many other people would do the same…Keep silent & hang up

It is humbling to know that you’ve stood in a European country which no longer exists…and I’m only ~60. Even sadder to realize it probably ain’t gonna be the last time either.
